I was unable to Import my long service ME Character into ME3..The specifics of this being that I created a custom facial profile in ME1, imported to ME2, and then attempted to import into ME3. Before I was even able to play ME3, I was already being met with the infuriating happenstance of not being able to use the Shepard I had come to know and love over the past 5 years. Frustated I backed out and attempted to import my ME2 only FemShep, which worked just fine...After testing I came to realize that any ME2 imports that I had based on one of my ME1 characters would not import the facial profile properly.

Fortunately I was able to *roughly* recreate the character I wanted to start with, unfortunately this left my experience feeling a tad bit off. Sort of like realizing the cereal you picked up for breakfast is the knockoff brand of your favorite, yeah you'll keep eating it but the taste isn't exactly what you were expecting.

The PC forum has a fix for it, unfortunately that won't work with the Xbox360 and the PS3 guys don't have to worry since they never had ME1... So my question is how many other gamers have experienced this as well?

And does anyone know if there has been a mention by Bioware of a patch fix?

LOL, thanks... I haven't ventured over there yet. Figured 360 Technical was the appropriate place for this? Perhaps my logic is flawed.

Currently encountering the same problem. Apparently the bug actually occurred importing the ME1 face codes to ME2. The best fix I've found so far is to start a new game in ME2 and choose to either import your character from ME1 or ME2. The first option is to just accept the imported face (which should look like it's supposed to). The third option is to 'customise face'. This face should start off looking identical to your imported face, but due to the bug may look different.

Enter into the 'customise face' option, and try altering a few aspects, exiting out to compare with your desired face, until they match (or until you run out of patience). Enter into the customise face option one more time and note down the facial code. You can then enter this code when starting ME3.

With any luck, it shouldn't take too much tweaking to get the face looking like it should (my male shep had different stubble, hair colour, complexion and eye shape/colour: fortunately the underlying bone-structure seemed identical).

Hope this helps.
