I read so many review and player comments and everything I read makes me want to play this game even more. I must be patient though, approximately one week till I get it .

So, I ordered with Amazon and on November 1st they said it was shipped... then Nov 6th they said it was scanned for arrival... I got real excited since they said it was supposed to be here on the 7th... rushed to get home after work... looked into my mailbox.... no DAO My mailbox seemed even emptier than normal. *sigh* so dissapointing. I'm hoping it'll be here Monday. The thing that worries me is that when I put the tracking number Amazon gave me into the USPS site, they say that it doesn't exist! What the heck. I hope they didn't screw this up. The anticipation is killing me! Meanwhile I guess I'll keep reading about everyone else's experiences! Can't wait to get mine! Enjoy everybody!

Here on Brazil, the Release Date is 13/11 for Retail (it was 06/11 for the Digital versions like Steam and EA store)... Pre-ordered mine, but still, meh...

Alderak: I would patch it right after the installation. Since it fixes bugs, it may even help make the DLC go over easier.

Just got mine yesterday.  Note to self: don't use Amazon's free shipping when it's something I want quickly. After managing to get DirectX installed, I played for nearly two hours, got to the end of the Human Noble origin and ended up with the "Bloodied" achievement.

I gotta say, damn it's good to be playing a game like this again.  I love having a party - I don't know how many hours I put into the Baldur's Gate games, but after playing WoW for so long, it's absolutely kickass to have a group again.  Especially since one of the group members is the big damn dog.  I had to stop so I could eat and write, but I'm looking forward to losing a few (dozen) more hours to this.

And I'm already thinking of what origin to do for my next playthrough.  I'm thinking elven mage, then evil dwarven rogue...

"Pumped" is one way to describe it: I most often use the word "jacked" but I suppose that's a cultural thing. 

THIS GAME IS GREAT!

So far.  Who could ask for anything more, except to be able to say the same thing a year from now.

Dragon's Age: Origins came in on Wednesday.  Immersion resulted within the hour and now, on Sunday morning, the stream of positive invective directed at BioWare is holding steady.   For this jaded old RP'r that's nothing short of amazing.

Perhaps later when I emerge from my version of Maivricks "Ainty social life mode" I'll have more to say -- for now, I'm off to reimmerse.

Mine was waiting for me when I got hoem from work on Friday. I finished Subtlety of Thay (10/10 if you're a NWN2 player) Friday night and I've just spent all weekend installing and configuring Windows 7 and all my standard programs on a new disk as well as getting all my DA DLC in order. I might start actually playing this evening, but the release has managed to coincide with a week's leave. I wonder how that happened? Chores? DIY? They can wait until later....
