So Bioware, will you fix the issue about war assets for the single player ?

Ah yes, internet goers running numbers. We have dismissed that claim.

Numbers don't lie. You cannot get to 4,000+ EMS playing the SP campaign alone.

If you say so.

I'll seriously lean one way or the other when someone posts actual, factual proof.

There is an old saying that my ancestors once used...

"Pics or it didn't happen."

But those can be photoshopped, falsified, like Harbinger Vent Boy.

Also, you're indoctrinated.

You don't have to take my word for it. The list is right there in your Coalesced.bin. Take a look at it.

It actually is impossible to get 4k EMS or above it without MP. Many of us have tried many times. Well, you'll notice it for yourself when you finish the game without MP. There's been several threads about it where that was the conclusion every time. Get with the program.

And I think you need 5k+ EMS to ge the best ending of all. Won't spoil it for those who haven't finished it yet, but the rest of you hopefully know what I'm talking about.

I think I'd like to see Jarret Lee weighing in - his stickied thread "A note about multiplayer in relation to the endings" makes claims that now increasingly many players have found in practice to be incorrect, or at least misleading: if there indeed are "more than enough" war assets in the game to allow for the best ending without MP, then I am baffled that nobody seems to have actually managed to get over the line without MP.

This must mean either of two things: that Jarret Lee's original assertion is false, and you cannot get enough war assets to get the best ending playing SP alone, OR, the maximum number of war assets to be gained is just barely over the line, and is so difficult to achieve that practically no-one can do it without a step-by-step walkthrough to maximizing war assets, and having an imported character that's made all the "right" choises in the previous games.

As such, given that this is being realized by increasingly many people, the stickied thread is starting to look more and more like an insult to the intelligence of Bioware's customers.

I don't play MP, so I solved this for myself by editing the values of war assets in the relevant game file, doubling the value of each war asset, thus neutralizing the effect of "galactic readiness".

I still should not have to edit game files to get the gaming experience that should have been available to me in the "vanilla" game without MP. I think the whole tie-in of MP with SP is very, very tacky, and I sincerely hope that they'll simply remove the whole thing in an upcoming patch. Either that, or give a way to increase the readiness from within the SP campaign.

In my what now?

Should I extract my Mass Effect data from my Xbox first, or can I just do it right from the dashboard? Or do I need some kind of Space Magic?

Indoctrination makes my tiny brain hurt.

Being indoctrinated blurs the line between stupidity and trolling, successfully merging them into one.

The choice is yours to determine.

Oh wait, no it's not, you gotta do what Vent Boy tells you. trollface.jpg

I think its simply because some assets are bugged, I remember at least 2 which do not register (from volus in embassy section and a salarian in hospital), and I've read a post from someone who messed with games' resources that there is a dozen+ more of them.

Could well be, but what's stopping Bioware from acknowledging that there is a problem?

This too.

People don't know nothin' and don't try to do somethin' about it. They just sit back and say stuff about stuff without trying to do stuff about it.

They just go on thinkin' they know stuff, actin' like they know stuff, makin' you feel like you don't know stuff.

Pessimism. You know? Conclusion jumps, faster-than-light.

Are you trolling? "Do something about it"? Like what, post on the official forum maybe?

The only positive thing you are bringing to this issue is bumping this thread, so thanks for that.

They ain't gonna do squat about anything for a while.

Skyrim and Battlefield 3, two games which I loved, but haven't been updated in...at all. Even though updates/patches were planned to come out...months ago.

I'm obviously exaggerating a bit, patches were talked about, but never came out. I'm not sure if they've been patched yet, stopped playing because of no patches like we were promised. The point is, any problems that this game has, glitches for example, will not be fixed for quite a while.

You know?

Whole war assets feels like arbitrary system and it's not even difficult to get past 3000 EMS with imported game.

If that's the case I wish they'd just come out and say so, rather than allow people to fume and speculate about it in the forums. At least if they said that the war assets were bugged, and would be fixed in an upcoming patch, and reaching the limit for the best ending would be possible through SP alone after the patch, I think that'd go a long way towards satisfying players that found the limit unattainable without MP.

So Bioware? Can we get an official word on this? :?

Sorry, I haven't read the whole thread. As an aside, you can boost your galactic readiness without MP if you have the Datapad app (which of course you have to have an iOS device for).

I agree with the complaint that we should be able to gain enough points with SP alone.

Indeed.

Don't have the necessary device, and even if I did have it, I'd probably resent the fact that I'd have to use some datapad app in order to complete my ME3 SP experience, as much as I resent being bullied into playing MP, (or an attempt to bully me into playing MP being made) to get that experience.

I can totally see the marketing reasons for doing this - get people to play MP, and hopefully buy MP content. I just think it is tacky; as tacky as the in-game DLC adverticing in DA:O.

Sure, give some in-game benefits for playing MP, if you REALLY need to do that, but don't tie it into a game mechanic that makes it inordinately hard or impossible to get the best ending for people who don't play MP.

I don't think they want to post either...

-Our QA department didn't bother to try playing SP or all of the sidemissions,  and so we never noticed these weren't working.

-We knew these weren't working,  but we decided to ship anyways,  because the boss said "Ship it,  it's fine,  it makes people buy Online Passes to win the game anyways".

Either way,  it's technically false advertising since they publicly stated it could be done many times.

They also falsely advertised the endings, so nothing new here, but with the endings at least they have acknowledged that there are fans who think they are broken. This EMS issue is never mentioned by Bioware, and the sticky is still there.

I can understand an "it's the principle thing" but the fact of the matter is getting to 3637 is not too hard and at that level you only need to play through and win one game in the MP which is like 45min of your time. You can't tell me that going around and doing each of the N7 missions is a whole lot different from MP (kill lots of enemies until done), so think of it like a couple more N7 missions.

I do feel bad for those of you without internet, but let's get real here, if you don't have internet you can't download a patch either so that's not much of an option, and if your on Xbox without Gold then sorry, but blame Microsoft for that one.

Do I think that Bioware lied, yes. Do I really care about it, no. The truth is I have bought so many games over my life that have just been terrible, and i mean terrible. The ME trilogy will always have a special place in my heart and did so much more good then bad that it is crazy for me to read these forums and see all the backlash. I am certainly a bit disappointed here and there but most of these complaints are just laughable to me. I wish that the worst parts of my day came from a video game, but I guess when I turn my games off I can just get back to reality quicker then most.

Truth? We all have truths. Its not easy to define. The truth is that ME3 is perfect in everyway except for two things. Bioware has a different truth than ME fans. One Truth is Jarret Lee saying that there is more than eough single player content to get 8000 EMS(equals 4000 w/o multiplayer) The Fan truth is I have yet to read anyone getting better than 7200 EMS. One truth is except what we give you or you go hungry as they shove multiplayer down your throat. My truth is I have an 80 buck bookend and a broken heart.
