Pretty much. There were some annoying things about the UI (quest system, weapon mod UI) and it was pretty frustrating at times to try and aim the heavy melee attack -- enemies would just move out of the way it too so long.
But it's really hard to be too upset about the game's other flaws given the ending. I guess that's one thing good I can say about it -- it made me look at the rest of the game more favorably.
Is the ending the only thing you hated in ME3?

Game is really good. Better than 2 but it still doesn't touch ME1.

There were a few other things, but nothing terribly game breaking or annoying enough to warrant "hate". Or at least not now, in comparison.
Bugs/Glitches: Slightly annoying, but I saved frequently (easily over 100 times) and got around most of them. If I couldn't finish a side mission, I didn't care much, it wasn't overly important issue.
Snooki: I honestly don't know why they added her. No character developement and no contribution to the story. I was expecting more than 2 interviews at the very least. If I ever play again, I'll just boot her off the ship.
Rachni Queen: Expected her and the Rachni to play a bigger role, especially after the cameo on Illium.
Collector Base: I'm not even sure if this even did anything, besides alter some minor dialogue.
ME2 Crew: I know there were alot of them, but I wish they played a bigger role somehow as well.
War Assets: I guess this is also considered part of the ending, but it doesn't get mentioned much. Someone from Bioware said that we could get a "perfect" ending without Multiplayer. This. Is. Bull.

Hated yes, anything else I didn't like is nit picking of small problems that are in any game.
I did wish they had fleshed out the Virmire Survivor story more. I mean we don't get to see them for an entire game and part of this game and we hardly talk to them.

Also hated that Reaper beam dodging part. And fighting multiple Banshees with my Vanguard.

- journal was horrible
- the kai leng boss fight (the one at the illusive man's base) was overly simplistic IMO. i actually liked kai leng as a villain, just thought his actual boss fight was underwhelming, and really didnt do his character justice. the renegade trigger event was cool though.
- run, roll, cover, action, was all bound to the same key.. and couldnt be changed.. REALLY annoying.
- multiplayer affecting single player.. i got no problem with a multiplayer mode.. i got a BIG problem with it affecting single player though. its IMPOSSIBLE to get 4k EMS without playing multiplayer.
- and, of course, the horrible endings
the rest of the game was great though.
i even liked diana allers. would have preferred emily wong, or at least that other reporter you talked to, but diana was all right. would people have had as big of a reaction if they didnt know the voice actress? personally, i doubt it.

I dont hate the ending, i hate the effort bioware put into the ending after crafting a great universe with story and lore, the whole self sacrifice ending i fell is to cliche for so a well told and diverse galaxy. Its as if they got lazy towards the end.

To OP, yes. There were some quirks here and there like absolutely abysmal Journal which kept NO track on missions and some non-gameplay issues like getting lazy design of Talis face, but otherwise ME3 is the least flawed game of the three, except for the ending of course which is just embarrasingly bad.

Ending is one of the biggest mess ups in late years about a highly expected game.
It overshadows any other '' small'' problems and sadly overshadows our great experience while playing the game itself.
But there is little things I hated like the useles missions journal and side-quest items that do not update when you get them soo you have to search the place 2-3 times before you are sure. Some glitches here and there.
Overall the game delivers in many aspects but as said, it fails to capitilize in the end and basicly undoes any good will they gathered with the players.

I should clarify I didn't hate the ending either. It was disappointing. In any other game the ending would probably have been fine. But because this game has so much depth to it with all the choices you made and backstory and all that, the ending left you with more questions then answers.
Other than that, really the mission journal was the only thing I disliked about the game. It wouldn't update when you got the fetch items and things like that.

Apart from the endings the only dislikes were:
- Journal not updating (fetch quests should tell you when you have the item needed)
- Too much forced dialogue/emotion for Shepard.
- ME2 LI's being pretty much irrelevant (I don't really want to play as my male Shep with Tali knowing this).
- Making Shepard have nightmares/care about the child who died on Earth. He is one amongst billions of dead beings, Shepard would have seen worse in their time. It's over the top and a ham fisted way of adding 'emotion' to the story.

The quest log was horrible, compared to the one from last game. Oh, and killing off most people on the Citadel ( implicitly, confirmed by Mac Walters already ) also doesn't sit too well with me.

Yep, I enjoyed every moment, up until Shep passed out on that elevator. The rest of the game was amazing, the best game I've ever played, and had me captivated from the moment I first put it in, to the moment I beat it. Just hop they fix the ending.

The ending ...Yes, the rest of the game was awesome! minor bugs here and there, but nothing really to complain about.

There were also a couple of bugs, and a notable one was the screen stuck with the dying filter. On your first encounter with the Reaper death ray on Tuchanka, I died twice in a row, and on the 2nd death the screen kept the blurry "death" filter in place on subsequent play throughs. The only way to fix it was to reload the game completely.

1) too much blood
2) too much gore
Really? When did we have any actual *gore*? We had a lot of awkward looking dead bodies, but certainly nothing like many other games, and much less blood than most shooters. Mass Effect is rather tame considering its subject matter, especially to most games with similar subject matter. Next to Prey, Quake, Doom, etc? ME is *very* toned down.
I don't recall exploding heads before, or carnage, or hand2hand ripping up the enemy in 1 and 2.
I play in grayscale to reduce blood effects, but certain weapons/classes had alot more gore than previous.
It is like how much swearing was in ME2 compared to either 1 or 3 ... it is noticeable.
RE: similar games, I don't play those games (I suffer PTSD ... and don't need flashbacks!)
... and I've always been amused this series has a Mature rating. (the way I play it, rating is maybe Teen)

not having the ME 2 LI's kinda rankled, the london level feeling like a rail shooter, apart from that up to the last 10 minutes it was a very, very good game.

Bringing back been able to mod the gun was nice, but they could of add been able to mod armour as well. I do not hate that they did not do so. Yes I say yes only the ending I hate.

Yes. This game is brilliant, one of the most potent types of entertainment to be found. Until I found out it was all for nothing, and my decisions didn't matter at all, and my squad abandoned me in the heat of battle to beat feet to the Charon Relay.
Of course, all signs point to the final battle being literally for Shepard's very soul, for the soul of the galaxy. How many of you stayed true to your word, and fought to destroy the Reapers til your last breath? I know I did.

I felt that there were several small problems with the game that irked me. I found several textures taken from others things. I thought I saw an image of an apple keyboard as a texture.
Animations were a bit sloppier in this one, especially during the second half, and there was a lot of popping going on in the cut scenes.
It just felt rushed, should have delayed it for another 6 months.
In the end, it was a lesser game then ME2 for me.

Basically, what allmost everyone is saying:
The game is A BLAST. One of the best "final chapters" of any trilogy I've ever played. Yet that ending, so empty on closure, so very little varied, full of plotholes... If what we got was just ONE ending among all the availables, I would not like either but I would not hate it so much. And worst of all, five days after finishing it, I haven't been anle to play again ME3's multiplayer or even try to start another character on any of the 2 previous games... it's so discouraging.
So in a nutshell Awsomeincrediblefantasticsuperbmasterpiece****ingepìc game... FATAL ending.
