People on this forum keep using the word "alien" as though it automatically suggests form. It's complete horse****! They don't know what the word alien means.
No, YOU don't know what alien means. YOU don't know why being an alien DOES say something about the form. YOU don't understand that the odds of an extraterrestrial life to look just like us is simply non-existent.
Read this and feel yourself getting educated. After that, come back and tell me if you sitll think that being an alien doesn't mean that you have to look alien too.
Alien means foreign, strange, an outside of a group, etc.

This is how we should have seen Tali's face, even if they wanted to use the current concept/design, it would have just been so powerful:

Yes, and it also means extraterrestrial lifeform.
But really, what does the (literal) definition of the word alien have anything to do with this discussion whether humanoid aliens are or aren't realistic?

I feel the humanoid form is a very effecient form. Good for navigating all types of terrain. Good for disappaiting heat and storing heat in the core. Fingers and opposable thumbs for the percise manipulation of objects. I feel the chance of an alien species sharing some resembelance to humanoid form is very high.
