No. I did not like the photo on the table even when I wasn't aware of the stock photo. It was not because of the person but because of the glaring inconsistencies with the Quarian design previously.

I have no issue with the image itself. I think it meshes well with my personal vision of Tali.  What I have issue with is developer laziness.


Edit:  Except the hand.  That is just inexcusably poor.

The photo idea was just pathetic anyway.

I can't believe they couldn't be bothered to render one of the main characters faces(and an LI at that) especially when they knew it was a big deal to fans who had worked hard to reach that point.

Worst thing in the game besides the ending.

I find it odd that the Quarians turn out to look so human. Using a stock image on top of it?! is even more odd...

Don't give a damn that they modified a stock photo. The poor job they did with it is the issue.

I actually don't mind the stock photo thing at all.
The only thing I think they should have just invested 15 minutes more time is the hand.
It looks so horribly wrong on the pic.

If no one said stock photo, I wouldn't have known it was a stock photo.  

Or even have seen it in the game so...

More disturbing is the lack of effort and care it symbolizes.

I wouldn't have minded the stock photo if it weren't for the hand. It was the first thing I noticed and it bothered me, even if I couldn't quite put my finger on why exactly. It just looked wrong. Then I went online and learned it was a cheap shop and it annoyed me. But it's the cheapness of it that bothered me, not the source material.

I liked the picture initially. I was expecting them to do a model render for the romance scene to give a full reveal to those who remained faithful.

Wow was I disappointed. Then I started at the picture some more and found that it was poorly done; especially around the hand.

And this was before I found out it was a stock image.

So did I. They had a more alien look to them. 

However, I didn't have a problem with the Tali pic in-game. The Google stock photo thing doesn't bother me at all, it's just not what I expected. I didn't expect quarians to look mostly human but with less fingers.

To add injury to the insult (insult being the cheap use of stock photo, showing either a lack of imagination or laziness on BioWare's part), it's such a bad photoshop retouching job. They simply erase half of the model's hand to leave 3 finders. It's comical. See image above.

It would have shown that they put some effort into it rather then some crap stock photo they slightly retouched. Honestly it kinda puts a whole new light on the game.

I don't even count that picture of Tali as cannon or it really being her.

In my mind I still haven't seen her face and I am fine with that.
Just boggles my mind how f'n lazy and stupid BioWare was with Tali's picture. (and the ending!)

Don't forget the purple polarization. Seriously thinking Casey has a hard on for polarized lens effects, like JJ Abrams has for lens flare.
