Not sure where to put this so I'm posting it here.

I bought the Kinect just to play it with ME3. It was really fun when it worked but it ended up being a source of frustration most of the time because it wouldn't reognize my voice commands.

I re-calibrated the Kinect mic but still had trouble. It could reliably get it to rocognize some commands (overload, singularity, concussive shot), but not others.

"Save" in particular was almost impossible. I repeated it about 20 times in a row, louder, softer, drawing out the "s", drawing out the "a", etc. and absolutely could not get it to work.

Then I watched my husband playing. Kinect recognized his voice commands 95% of the time, including "save".

Our regional dialects and accents are very similar. The only difference is my voice is higher, because I'm a woman.

With this in mind I started speaking to the Kinect in a deeper voice. Instantly its recognition improved. I still didn't have as much success as my husband, but close. Saying "save" in a very low and deep voice is the only way  I can get that command to work.

That being said, I do not have a very high-pitched voice for a woman, but yes, it's higher-pitched than a man's.

In the future maybe more testing should be done using women's voices if this is implemented in other games. I know women are the minority of ME players (I think I read around 10% of players are women) but it would be nice to get the same level of voice recognition as my husband.

Any other women experience this?
