I think this is just the result of how Bioware is handling this situation. All we want is a statement over the ending, it could be just a couple of words saying they're going to fix it or not. Instead they're acting arrogant saying that their ending is fine, and there is also a lot of smoke about the future DLCs

Proof? I have seen NOTHING of the sort?

NO ONE IS GOING TO COURT!

NO ONE IS GETTING SUED!

IT IS A F***ING COMPLAINT!

THAT IS IT!

.....Jesus, now I can understand why people like IGN call us immature. If you don't know the difference between legal complaint and lawsuit, you shouldn't be throwing your opinion in. You are then no better then IGN or gamespot.

We know its not a lawsuit.  Some of us are concerned because this type of behavior, like you said, validates IGN's opinion.

Ppl really need to learn to read... It's horrible how many thinks it's a lawsuit. IT ISN'T, it's a COMPLAIN, that's it that's all. My first language isn't english and I have a better reading comprehension them most of those ppl here.

It doesn't matter what it is. It's just going to lead more people to believe that we're a bunch of petulent, entitled children.

Sorry my talk of silly lawsuits were examples of things that are derpy that go to court that win.

I know this is not a lawsuit it was an example.

I think the OP should have waited.

For Gods Sake You are all BLIND , Its a Complaint , only a COMPLAINT , nothing comes out of it , stop reacting like the world is ending.

It's the fact that about half the posters on here think it's a legit complaint that is causing all the comedy/drama lol

Plenty of us know the difference.  But how likely are IGN and their readers going to know the difference.  Especially given much of gaming media's leaning toward sensationalism.

I can see the Headline now: "Retake Mass Effect Tries to Get FTC to Change Video Game Endings"

People, please consider the implications of your actions better than Bioware considered the implications of their endings.

And everyone saying over and over to not take legal action against is just going to add to the confusion. There is no "action" being taken. It is a simple complaint.

1. You sitting on a forum whining will do no good.

2. I don't have a clue what "credibility" you think you have for... well, sitting on a forum whining.

3. I don't see what me filing a complaint through proper channels would have to do with this so called "credibility."

The infighting is what's gonna ruin any "credibility" we have.

After reading the opinions on here I have to say good for OP. We can 'scream' and rage on the internet all we want but maybe only action outside it will do anything. Even though I don't think this stands a chance of sticking it would be nice if game companies tried to stick closer to the truth in interviews.

It is like the snake oil salesmen of the 19th century, they promised their elixir would do almost anything. Eventually the government had to step in there too.

You didn't compare a video game ending you didn't like to folks hawking "medicine" that doesn't actually do what it is claimed to... did you?

My desired resolution is actually my 60 bucks back.

On another note, just to everyone saying "OMG WAIT TILL BIOWARE SAYS SOMETHING!!111!!" - you DO realize that filing an official complaint automatically includes a time period for the company to respond, right?  Ok, of course you don't, you're just doing crazy knee-jerk freakouts.  So let me let you in on a little secret:  These complaints automatically include time for the company to respond.

Now, I'm going to go roll my eyes at you guys so hard that I look like an ME3 facial animator got a hold of me, and get on with me day.  Good luck to the lot of you, regardless of whether you're fighting or cowering.

It's really, really cute that people still think you can convince a million dollar corporation by being nice and having civil conversation. EA is not going to go out of their way and spend so many resources to make a DLC because you said "please".

EA has noting to do with those endings in the first place, they were planned and implemented the way BioWare intended them to be...

How? By being civil and telling FTC "Hey, they made alot of false promises about the game. Just thought you should know."?

Gears of war is published by Microsoft......... which is why they would have a final say in DLC price.

I apologize, maybe GoW is a bad example but it isn't the only example. Valve have been forced to charge for dlc before.

No, thanks. While I'd like to see some work (But no retcons) on the endings, I refuse to support people acting like this.

Please, don't judge all of us by the actions of just a few guys...

A few?

A FEW?

REVIEW BOMBING the game EVERYWHERE? (Like the endings or not, it does NOT deserve 0s or 1s).

Harassing devs on Twitter? Calling for spam attacks?

I have seen some in depth reviews detailing gripes with the ending WITHOUT discarding the rest of the game. They were bogged down by spite, venom and trash.

Anything subjective is probably out the window.

Something like "There are 16 different endings" when there are, at most, only 6 endings might be a little more substantive.

Not likely to go anywhere in either situation.

Well, while you're off rolling your eyes, would you mind heading over to all of the knee-jerk bloggers once the news spreads like a virus and explain exactly what this is and why you did it so that we don't look any worse than we already do?

Definitely the worst. This was exactly the thing they were waiting for so that they could portray us as rash acting fanboys. Most people here could predict that was coming, and that it would not help.....At. All.

Whereas I agree with the action, I feel it would have been better to wait until at least a week after final launch. This seems premature.
