I just imagined an EA lawyer explaining how space magic colors were "very diverse and complex", South Park style. Made me feel a bit better ;)

I don't envision the FTC taking any kind of serious action, maybe at least contacting EA to inquire about the complaints or inform them they've been notified, but as the game currently stands it IS false advertising. Would it hold up in court? I have no idea. But at least this is a way to show both that the general displeasure with the ending is both serious and has a legitimate body of evidence for us to feel as we do that isn't just the "entitled cry-baby gamer" smear that so many in the gaming media have been putting out there. I'd much rather have the endings promised to us than my money back. But Bioware has seen fit to not address our complaints at all, so if they won't engage us verbally on the issue then my only recourse is to speak to them as a consumer rather than a fan and return the game to send a financial message and report them for bad business practices.

The only comment you could stitch them up on is the A, B, C comment a few months back. However if it ever went to jury the case will be dismissed whether our grievance is valid or not.

I just can't see a court taking it seriously. However if it did get brought before a jury that's all the publicity you'd need to make a point and have it reported in the press.

it would be interesting to see fi enough people did what you did and see if the government could do something, Can you imagine what that would do to the video game industry?

I think this is the bigger topic being lost in all of this. The gaming industry SHOULD be changed. Fo rme, I am tired of spending upwards of $60 for something I felt is rushed and imcomplete.

I don't buy and play video games for art. If I wanted art I would go to a museum or look at a picture or painting. EA/BW made a PRODUCT to mass sell. I am not happy with this product and many other products gaming companies are putting out now. It's time for gaming companies PRODUCTS to adhere to what they promised us consumers - I am a consumer of video games not an art lover. I stare at art, I play games. You promise me something about this game product to make me buy it, then I want what I was promised. Same for any other gaming company.

I don't expect anything to come from this. But it is frustrating to me that we really don't have much recourse. I know that I feel like I was lied to by specific people. And I know that no matter what we say or do, those people will likely never be held to account for the lies they told. And that sucks. But that is the way it is.

I see, well, go for it, i dont think i can return or trade a single thing thou >_>

After finishing the game my girlfriend literally sat down on the corner chewing on my metal box.... toothmarks >_>

But yeah, it probably wont accomplish much, just a somewhat agressive heads up to them.

My thoughts exactly.

Nothing wrong in complaining about a product that you paid for if it does not live upto expectations.

Hold the line.

This has absolutely no chance to be successful.

Not that I don't feel cheated, but when they start to accept this once for any videogame, I think every second game would be attacked this way.

Developers pr almost always consists of, how their new game is the next best thing to an orgasm, has reinvented videogames and it's graphic and game mechanics are the best ever.

What about software? Excel couldn't be considered a product because it's really just code. But if codeis a product, so is ME3 because it was sold to make a profit.

Uh, wow.  Kind of reminds me of the lady who filed a lawsuit against the producers of "Drive", claiming that the trailers were false advertising, and that the actual movie didn't have enough driving and had way too much Ryan Gosling staring into space.  And we all know that was a perfectly well-reasoned reaction, which absolutely no one in the media made fun of ;).

The way to combat Bioware's misleading advertising is to stop buying their products.  Full stop.

This is kind of ridiculous though.

The endings are really bad I agree. But reporting to the FTC is pathetic and isn't doing anyone any favours. It's just going to make everyone who dislikes the endings look even more pathetic to the outside world.

You could call the software art, I suppose, but the software was written to a disc and sold as a product.

Videogame industry should definitely change, especially concerning dlc, i mean, so games are art eh?

Show me more "art" with dlc, the equivalent of it or something, none.

Sometimes, dlc is legit, its an expansion upon the story, or truly added maps, but nowadays most of the time its just developers either cutting on content to get it released later, or leaving the content on disc but locked. And this has absolutely no rules but the developers moral compass so far.

Which we all know where that compass points to....

I may not be comfortable with this but make sure you have that picture with Hudson's quote and the giant A B C over the three endings. Its floating around here somewhere.

They likely won't do anything. And this hurts us more than it helps.

The best way to combat this all is the Child's Play charity, and to not buy from Bioware and EA, and to civilly keep up the pressure on here, on twitter, through the mail, however we can get a hold of the two companies. Not to file a suit.

Premature, and completely uncalled for. We don't even know for a fact that we have the real ending yet.

This is why I pirate games and only buy them if I find them good.

It's illegal but then again so is false advertising.
