build the endings out in a way that we don’t have to worry about
eventually tying them back together somewhere. This story arc is
coming to an end with this game. That means the endings can be a lot
more different. At this point we’re taking into account so many
decisions that you’ve made as a player and reflecting a lot of that
stuff. It’s not even in any way like the traditional game endings,

ending A, B, or C.....The endings have a lot more sophistication and

Please, people, tell me how that is not false advertising?
I filed an FTC complaint

consumerist.com/2012/03/mentioning-worst-company-in-america-in-ea-forum-is-apparently-a-terms-of-service-violation.html
Some argue a video games forum is no place to talk about EA and their business practices, so where are people supposed to go to complain? If people feel they've been led to believe the product they were buying was different, it's their right to file complaints about it.
I just wish the OP had done it quietly..

Look, from the FTC website:
"
Why: Your complaints can help us detect patterns of wrong-doing, and lead to investigations and prosecutions. The FTC enters all complaints it receives into Consumer Sentinel, a secure online database that is used by thousands of civil and criminal law enforcement authorities worldwide. The FTC does not resolve individual consumer complaints.
"
Filing a complaint could help get the message out, and it won't start a lawsuit. It's just yet another channel for us to make ourselves heard.

Edit: To make my point more clear. It is the developer making claims about his product with the express purpose of encouraging people to buy that product based on his claims. That is advertisement.

Refusing to see the point makes you look dense.
Pretending this is not about a video game ending makes you look silly.
The product in question is a video game. Valid.
The complaint was because of a bait and switch with the product. Valid.
Just because the product in question is a game doesn't make it divinely protected, nor does it make a complaint invalid.
That you think a ending you didn't like equates to a "bait and switch" is rather amusing.
You're trolling based on the posts you've made in this thread. The bait and switch, if nothing else was the MP crap which they deny is required but not one person has been able to get 4k without. Unless you can show a screenshot, don't even bother claiming you can get 4k without MP.
Done with you.

Okay I can agree that these are reasons to complain to the FTC/BBB, but I think you're not factoring that SELLING PRACTICES also are rated by these groups. That's just product.
Except there's nothing wrong with their selling practices. That would be say charging 40 bucks for a game that needs an internet connection and not advertising that on the box
Your talking about marketing. And they can say pretty much whatever they want in marketing the game that comes down to a subjective view. ANYTHING.
It's the same as seeing crap movie X advertised as the greatest thing since slice head. "Will blow you away" "Runaway Hit of the Year" "You'll be left gasping"

As a long time fan of the franchise and someone who is yet to complete the third game or see all of the promotional material, it's impossible for me to say whether I agree or not with the complaint, but El_Spiko, I salute you for making it.

since interviews with the developers are one of the main ways to hype up a product in this industry, yes, this is false advertising. he promised, he didn't deliver. q.e.d.

Yup. Honestly, I am pretty much done. I hated the endings and have tried to be apart of this "movement", but all of these responses to this have shown me that they are more then content to sit on these forums and complain then to actually do anything to force BioWare into a response. Oh, and BTW, you can't "bully" a company. I know there are alot of American's here (I am too), but companies aren't people, and can't get bullied.

Which is why BBB/FTC don't blindly act on just any one complaint. If for whatever reason either organization decided that they really wanted to look after these complaints (which I doubt) they would decide if there was substance to the complaints. And unless you work for either organization or happen to be lawyer in this part of the law I don't think you, or I, have the right to say that there is or isn't substance to the complaint. But OP as a paying customer of Bioware has every right to make complaint.

I actually got 5900 on my playthrough single player only, but mine was also an ME1 and 2 import and I did pretty much every quest in the game.

This is should not be happening. It was a unthoughtout move by one person.
As if proof was needed that the game media was in the pockets of EA.
