This is why I pirate games and only buy them if I find them good.
It's illegal but then again so is false advertising.
Well this thread is doomed now.

It does raise issues about consumer protection but I don't think much will be done.

Uh, wow. Kind of reminds me of the lady who filed a lawsuit against the producers of "Drive", claiming that the trailers were false advertising, and that the actual movie didn't have enough driving and had way too much Ryan Gosling staring into space. And we all know that was a perfectly well-reasoned reaction, which absolutely no one in the media made fun of.
The way to combat Bioware's misleading advertising is to stop buying their products. Full stop.
I guess the difference I see is that this is not a situation where we were mislead by the advertising. I would be far less bothered by that. We were lied to about very specific things by the people in charge of the game's development. Not in ads, but in plain english.
Again, I don't think they will ever be held accountable, I just want to make the clarification.

Doe?
Anyway, EA isn't, and Bioware has branches in USA, making it a multinational thus liable.
Also it sells goods here is the USA, thus it can be subjected to US trade laws and the scrutiny of such organizations.
Bioware is an EA Subsidiary anyway, in the end thats all that matters.

I understand your upset, OP, but I think you've probably hurt us more than helped. The media will twist this to suit their own ends.

What about software? Excel couldn't be considered a product because it's really just code. But if codeis a product, so is ME3 because it was sold to make a profit.
Excell is - An article or substance that is manufactured or refined for sale.
Games are An article or substance that is manufactured or refined for sale.
Anything MASS PRODUCED TO SELL is a product. I believe Mass Effect games were mass producted to sell.

Damn. Wonder if this will get their attention.
Do you realize how many people probably do this on every item they buy? They've probably gotten at least ten complaints for every game they've ever sold.
I doubt this will be taken seriously. If it is, consider me incredibly surprised.

If what we have wasn't the end, and they do have something created or at the very least planned, don't you think they would say something at this point? Given the MASSIVE backlash right now and people swearing to never buy BioWare games again?
If you track developer and mod comments - especially twitter - they are dropping hints everywhere.
It's not the end, and they have something big planned. If it pans out, it will be a masterstroke. Either way, the "fan" reaction so far is embarassing.

Why?
EA didn't write the endings. EA weren't the ones who made all the promises.
If you want to lodge this kind of complaint, at least do it against the correct company.
Although seeing as developer comments before release are not legally binding in any manner I still doubt it would get far.

Bioware lied about not needing multiplayer to get the best ending. This is called BAIT And switch is pretty much illegal.

Seen some people saying its possible, i couldnt do it, fell short by 200 assets or so, but then again, they probably meant "its possible, after you get all dlcs".
