is there a way to get rid of the facial scars Shep has in ME 2? In general I wouldnt mind scarring but on my PC it looks like her face is an egg cracking and light is pouring out.

I think the light inside the scars is supposed to hint at cybernetic implants or something, hence the slightly weird look. But there are two ways of getting rid of the scars. First option, you can play a very paragon game and they gradually go on their own. Second option, after a while you get the opportunity to upgrade the Normandy's medical bay, which basically means for a chunk of your resources (I think it's 50,000 platinum but I'm not sure without looking it up) a cosmetic surgery machine thingummy appears in there which will instantly fix the scars. If you check emails on Shepard's computer you should eventually find one from Dr Chakwas that drops hints about the first option and talks about the cosmetic surgery, and the option to do it appears in the ship upgrades list in Mordin's lab. Can't remember when it appears or what triggers it but I fixed Shep's looks sometime between the Horizon and Collector Ship missions and I think it had been there for a few missions.
