idk what forum i was on, but they were saying that they had one of their squadmates shoot udina. is this true? I sure would like Garrus or Liara to take him down in one of my playthroughs..

I imagine there are several options.
1) Shep shoots Udina
2) Shep doesn't shoot, VS does
3) Shep shoots VS then Udina
4) Shep shoots VS but doesn't shoot Udina, so a squaddie does.

No. You did the right thing. Shooting Udina is absolutely correct. Plus, if I remember correctly, if you go for a paragon dialogue in the confrontation with VS the interupt is a paragon interupt. It has been a while since I have played my pure paragon Shep in ME3.

I think I remember watching a video where it was actually Garrus that shot Ashley in this scene if you let him.
I've always told my guys to put their guns down here and then shoot Udina myself...ahh the memories
But otherwise it's Kaiden/Ashley that shoots him....not sure what happens if they're dead though

Oh, and I think that Ash/Kaidan does it for you. If you killed them I think that The Asari Councilor will die, or maybe one of your squadmates will shoot him.
I go for the second option
