What a load of crap.

You know, I've been very forgiving of the technical issues in BioWare's PS3 titles. I didn't even complain when Dragon Age: Awakening was damn near unplayable on PS3 platform. I was annoyed by the technical issues in Mass Effect 2, but again I said nothing. This in spite of the fact that the issues were never fixed.

But this? Wow. I can't even put to words how thuroughly insulting it is. If there are technical issues, how about explaining them to those of us who probably would have very much liked to participate in the event? Instead, we get a simple "Sorry, bro" style brush off. Not cool.

Already bored. No big loss. Whole thing is to get data to balance the imba reapers anyway.

At least they are being honest. Instead of promising us to be able to participate and then give us a low quality experience....... like they did with the full game.

What's honest here? Sony is the most open dev, willing to bend over backwards for devs to do things on PSN, and yet somehow Bioware can't get them on their side? I can smell the bull**** from a galactic light year away.

Can't you just cut the BS and just tell us what "technical limitation" ACTUALLY means?

another lame excuse from Bioware...and yet, still no acknowledgement of FPS and crashing issues.

Well it was planned before the games release. According to another thread, at least. So I don't think it is an excuse so much as it is stating fact. Hope ps3 users will get thier own shot at some unique gear some time later. I would personally like to see the hannar and elcor missions fixed first. I can't finish either. Also the crashes and fps issues are annoying but restarting seems to fix them for a while... Any pathes for ps3 issues would be amazing

The biggest issue at hand is we don't know the reasons why, or if we'll be compensated. That said, there's also a lot of other questions pertaining to the event and game as a whole that haven't been answered either. All this lack of information spawns assumptions and conspiracy theories.

The situation isn't pleasant, but there's really no use making it worse till we get an answer. And if we hear nothing for days or weeks, then that's just as likely an answer too.

^^ that is not the best way to get your answer though. It means they ignore you, you who spent 60-100$ to buy their product, bssed on their promises of system parity.

it is not the best way to treat your cystomers and fans like this. we already have asked nicely and politely countless times. And we got nothing back from them.

And I am simply wondering... who's fault is it going to be when people start losing their patience? Who is to blame of after so much ignoring people stop asking nicely and start doing the opposite? I mean it is rather ridiculous and ironic to think that we must always ask politely forever and ever when we see that asking politely is simply getting us nowhere....

Bioware recently changed the board rules and i told them that i am ok with that, but they need to understand that a lot of the whinning and bickering in this board is cause because they simply choose to ignore their fans when they are calm and they just want some answers. This issue is a perfect example. We've been asking nicely for one month now concerning the framerate issue.

What exactly has that politeness got us? Nothing... So it is perfectly mormal after a point for people to start feeling ignored and to be honest idiots, and that leads to all the foul mouthing and posting...

Well, exactly. I didn't say it wouldn't be right to be a little uncivil if the eventual answer was that we were being deliberately ignored. That point just isn't likely now. And pointing fingers at sony/EA/Bioware with little more than opinion won't give us much of a soapbox to stand on.

If we don't hear a thing, or are even excluded from the next event (even for the same "technical limitations" again), I expect things to be vastly different.

I think that the most telling thing is Bioware's utter lack of communication to PS3 users.

Whether it is purposeful ignorance of our platform that is the cause of us not being able to participate, or a hardware/software/legal issue is rather set aside by the companies silence. They refuse to give a straight answer, don't give an apology, offer nothing in the way of compensation for the lack of content and seemingly have no desire to answer a direct question about the issue with anything other than a cut and paste of the "technical limitations" speech, thats the same as a mechanic telling you your cars broken down because something is wrong, but giving you no other information.

They don't respond to our forum threads either.

All we need is;

"We understand your concerns and anger, we are sorry we can't deliver the product to you in the manner you expect and that other gamers are recieving it and regret that you are being denied content, we are working to resolve the issue, which is "policy/software/hardware/ignoreance/legal" (delete as appropriate), and we have a loyalty package being set up to compensate your lack of participation."

Is that too much to ask of a customer facing business? If my company charged the same money for a product to two customers and didn't give the same service to both, we'd be in the courts in a split second.

They should just give us all a free weapons pack or whatever they're giving out to 360 & PC peeps, just as an 'i'm sorry you can't participate' thing. Why even have the event if its not going to be on all platforms?? I guess ****ing the end up just wasn't enough. Now we get left out too. This really is the LAST bioware game I get. I'm so tired of them. I've spent more time on Bioware's forum than any other game(s) forum EVER. As a matter of fact, a game company is doing great when there aren't people in the forums. It means people are happy and they'd rather play it than complain about it or report a bug. And did you guys see the announcement about how they're 'creating more content' for ME3? That announcement didn't make me feel better. All I want to hear from Bioware is "We are making a new ending." PERIOD. I don't give a **** about some random side quests or vehicles they might be cooking up- just fix the end. PLEASE. Its bad enough they had DLC on the first day. Ugh. I don't even want to get started.Image IPB

LImited exclusivity seems like the most likely answer, but it's not as though that's a new issue PS3 owners have had to deal with so they would've just said that if that were the whole thing. At this point developers should be more up front about not producing a comparable package on PS3. Just don't develop for the system if you don't know how, Bioware, or if you're forced by the competition to make the game worse. You guys make most of your money elsewhere anyways.

It's not okay at all.  It may be alright with you, but you can only speak for yourself.  Others may have wanted to participate in the event.  If they make the game for PC, Xbox and PS3, then all platforms should be able to join in on Operation: Goliath.  If you can't get all platforms to work, don't do the event.  Why should all suffer because of one group?  Because it's the right thing to do.

I'm nobody special, but I have been a fan for a time.  This type of stuff going on with ME3 has been really making me question my loyalty to them.  I'm sure they could care less, but they really are going about business the wrong way and it will come back to bite them in the end.  What you reap, is what you sow.

As a PS3 user, I don't want "compensation", nor do I feel entitled to special treatment because of a ton of bugs and exclusion from events. What I do want, however, is the same access to options, bonus items, gameplay experience, and offered events as those on different platforms. Exclusion from the weekend event and even options on loading the game through HDD install from the disc are NOT "technical difficulties".

Casey Hudson (executive producer and director) was quoted as saying, "When we finish a game, we finish it many months before it actually hits the shelves and that team goes on to work on something else that in those intervening months represent millions of dollars of development time.... " While this quote is actually related to him defending DLC on the disc, it does address that instead of working on options that could have been available to PS3 users that are on par with other consoles, they chose to instead move ahead with DLC. (It could be argued that those are different teams on separate projects). During this time, would it not have been beneficial to announce to the PS3 gaming community that we would not be able to have access to the same things as other platforms? If we had known ahead of time that our participation and options would be limited or excluded, we could have simply made other arrangements such as buying on the PC or xbox platforms.

Maybe PS3 users should protest by emulating participation.

The goal for O:G is to successfully extract from a Reaper-held zone on Silver/Gold. So maybe PS3 users should get on multiplayer and do it anyway to say "We will not be left out1"

Thats not a quote dude, i'm just saying thats all Bioware would need to say to alleviate a lot of the PS3 communities issues.

bioware went downhill as soon as EA bought them out. I remember they use to be a great company untill EA came in. This whole MP promo is just BS and isn't an event if you ask me.

Yeah this just isn't fair. Why should we (ps3 users) get a significantly inferior experience than the other platforms. I understand if this was Mass Effect 3 Wii. There's hardware limitations there. But the technical limitations I think they're talking about here is them being too lazy to fully intergrate the same experience on PlayStation network. The fact is, its extra work to adapt the unlock system for ps3. And they don't want to know, look at the frame rate issues we've got, and the fact ME2 still has glitches galore on PS3. I'm done with you bioware. No BF3 soldier, no recruitment packs, no participation in community events (are we not part of your community?), frame rate issues and still no fixes?! Yeah I'll be trading your game in.

Oh and the ending sucks.

Not only is there no Operation Goliath for PS3 this weekend, but I also got robbed of 120000 credits without being given any items, most games are crashing and since the last crash I can't even connect to any games.

Oh, I'm having so much fun.

Mass Effect was never intended to be on the PS3 in the first place, until Bioware was incorporated into EA. Their lack of support on the PS3 shows they just don't care enough.
