So they knew that ps3 users wouldn't be able to participate in this event. But choose not to notify the customers? So to me that sounds like they wanted to keep quiet until they padded their wallet...

Heartbreak... I don't know why ps3 users are being screwed. We paid for the game didn't we?

You know, instead of "technical limitations" they should've outright said it was just too much trouble.

It's not.

If you were taking three kids to an amusement park and they all wanted to go on a ride together, but you could only afford to let two go, would you let one watch the other two go on?  No.  It's wrong.  The difference is what Bioware did was worse.  You paid the same money the other PC and Xbox users paid to partake in all that ME3 has to offer.  Except, it doesn't offer stuff like this to PS3 users.

I'm extremely surprised they thought this was a good idea to neglect one of the three groups of players.  I would have cancelled the event till I could get everyone in.  It's a very simple concept.  Not many are complaining about this so it will most likely be swept under the rug.  Especially since the bigger issue is the game's ending.  And there are other issues.

Shame on you Bioware.

What type of technical limitations? Did they mean the Frame rate? because I'm pretty sure they never gave a **** about how bad the frame rate was on the PS3.

I agree with this fully. Especially the "cancelled the event till I could get everyone in " comment.

But what I realized while reading this users comment, is the fact that the entire Mass Effect 3 game is about uniting the universe, and bringing everyone together (in fact, Commander Shepard always seems to be trying to bring people together). But the development studio clearly avoided this idea. Instead, they said "Ah, 2/3 is fine, we'll leave the last third for the reapers" (figuratively speaking, of course) and moved on.

Hopefully we'll see something change in this regard, soon. I'd love to take part in these community events. I'm just not a fan of buying games for the same price as everyone else, and watching while they have fun with all these other benefits.

Wow, so I pay for the exact same thing as Xbox users, yet I get left out.. And here I thought that they couldn't **** much more up because of that joke of an ending

Something tells me that if this happens again, people will start bringing sledgehammers into the forum
I even see the pc and xbox community finding this shamefull (though mostly xbox users love it when they have something before the ps3 community (i admit i like it too when its the other way around))

And technical issues... Just admit that microsoft is so far up your as... i mean butthole, and you like it that way, that you no longer care for the ps3 community

" THIS CHALLENGE IS ONLY IN EFFECT ON XBOX 360 AND PC. Unfortunately we are unable to extend the N7 Challenge Weekend to the PlayStation 3. We continue to work with Sony to have them enable our ability to run these types of events on their platform."

Isn't Sony that decides what happens in their multiplayer events and such? I mean, doesn't BioWare need permission to something like this; across all platforms?

**** em...I'm done buying anything new from Bioware or Bethesda. I don't care how good of a game they might make. I'll say it again..

If Bioware and Bethesda were car companies, Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim for PS3 would be recalled. You wouldn't expect shoddy workmanship like this from any where else.

Maybe PS3 users should protest by emulating participation.

The goal for O:G is to successfully extract from a Reaper-held zone on Silver/Gold. So maybe PS3 users should get on multiplayer and do it anyway to say "We will not be left out1"

I say do the opposite. Every PS3 player needs to not play at all, especially multiplayer. Let Bioware's PS3 servers run with no one using them. Let them pay the bill for something that's not being used. Then maybe they'll know what it feels like to play a Bioware game on the PS3.

Operation Goliath is the last straw. I'm done getting burned by Bioware and Bethesda for sub-standard products. Fûçk em both...I'll never buy a new game from either company again. <_<

Suck it up. It's just a damn pack. I'm sure they'll come be able to make these events for the PS3 eventually and if they don't, well, I don't think it's because they don't want to.

I am not interested in Multiplayer, but when there are serious issues with the singleplayer game; short, full of bugs/glitches, the endings etc. then I have a huge problem with the developers.

You ruined one of my most favorite franchises by investing more in a component that you could have released seperately.

For me Mass Effect 3 is shoddy in comparison to it's predecessors.

Go and have a LI with Microsoft because the way you treated the PS3 gamers is despicable.

I'm done with you!

I wonder if the person responsible for the launch of Operation:Goliath is now thinking "Maybe I shouldn't have done this." I also wonder what his/her boss is thinking. The whole "ending" issue for a game with so many promises which was released at a postponed date and having so many issues with the PS3 version.

I have a feeling things are going to change at EA and Bioware. What the changes are, who knows. I have a feeling if there is another Mass Effect, it won't be the same staff of ME3. I think they rushed some things and took big risks and now they are paying for it. This is just the start.

This isn't a flame, it's the truth. I've seen some issues with games before, but I've never seen anything like this.

I wonder when Bioware became owned by Activision? This is a stunt they would of pulled

So there's been no clarification on this yet? Is this how it's always going to be for the PS3 users? Pretty lame...

"Irritating" is one word I'd use to describe the vast majority of this experience. Though that would be omitting a lot of other transgressions.

Prior to this fiasco, I was fairly happy with the game as a whole. A few questionable decisions, some game breaking bugs, but nothing I couldn't get around and expect a patch for eventually. I still had a certain level of trust in Bioware.

But this has been considerably... inconsiderate. Not only have they not addressed the "why" behind our exclusion from the event (technical limitations is unacceptable, as is the idea that the issue is due to Sony policy changes. Calling that a technical limitation seems like a whole other fiasco, but I refuse to put thought to that), but we haven't been given any answers as to whether we may expect compensation or involvement in future events, or if we may as well forget any inclusion whatsoever (an idea I'm reluctant to accept with the respect towards Bioware I have, or still have).

Even a simple "Just wait, we'll figure something out for you guys" or "You'll get the event next" or, really, anything, would be vastly more acceptable than the cold shoulder the PS3 community appears to be getting. And while I'm loathe to accept aggressive protestation or complaints to try and achieve this, it's starting to feel slightly warranted.  At the moment though, I'd say the best plan is to still ask nicely, but continuously, about what plans they have, if any, for our side of the universe.

I can't honestly say there's any reason for them to not tell us anything at all aside from "technical limitations." It's akin to being nonverbally told to shut up. A command I would actually prefer to be verbalized from them instead, because then I'd know at least someone heard me.

In short, this is fairly awful. I've read a plethora of pages in threads where people have voiced similar worries, and have received no fair answer. The idea that we're being outright shunned is starting to grow a little too large.

I'd just like to mention how nice it is to see a well thought out, well worded, and moderately polite reply that adresses the main issues.

Bioware seems to have a bit of a problem when it comes to communication. If further details were explained occasionally, people would probably not be as "outraged" as they are/were. Of course even if the problems were purely technical, I'd still be disappointed - but all in all I'm glad to have ME on the PS3 in the first place.
