1 other explanation Id like. If you allowed RACHNI queen to live in 1 AND 3 what happens to them?

if you let the one in ME3 live she joins up as a war asset and then at some point she "betrays" you and you lose her points. It's not really explained except a quick "Hey, look... are those rachni??" and then after the mission you get a popup that says "Rachni Betrayal". I'd like to see that addressed a little more as well. Though I might have missed some dialogue somehwere that explained it a bit better.

You mean the other way around. If you let her live in ME1 and 3 she stays true and helps build the Crucible, if you kill the ME1 Queen the one who doesn't know you in ME3 betrays you.

Yeah I understand, and I love the poll by the way. But I don't see why people would want an option to beat them through conventional warfare, because in the end, the Reapers win every, single, time. Or maybe people think that having the cycle continue would be a better ending than the three given to us?

In fairness, the Reapers won every single time because they warp to the Citadel, assume direct control of the Mass Relays, and destroy isolated clusters one-by-one.

This cycle was different, thanks to Mass Effect 1.
They actually had to fight a united galaxy that could use Mass Relays freely.

That's true, but it's stated by the Protheans, Liara, (I think Hackett?) and multiple others, that the war cannot be won by conventional means. But you're right, maybe they're just wrong, and all it takes is a united galaxy to win the fight against the Reapers? You have to remember that millions are dying each day, and with that many Reapers, would it even be possible to win by conventional means?

It was also stated by the main characters at varying points that the final mission in Mass Effect 1 and 2 was going to be a one way trip. As you said, I could easily see some of the main characters being wrong in their assessments. It's happened before. Besides, even if ME 3 invariably ended with a victory through conventional warfare (a ludicrous idea, but stay with me), I'd still want main characters to say "we can't win through conventional means". It's necessary to build a fear of failure in the player. Nothing's worse than the Star Wars Prequel syndrome of having the main characters say "this will be no problem", as they repeatedly did when preparing to fight battle droids. Eugh.

Anyway, I am a proponent of some form of conventional victory so long as you get a bloody good EMS score, the likes of which would make the EMS scores of previous cycles become almost microscopic by comparison. Failure to get a damn good EMS score and attempting conventional warfare over some kind of super-weapon or (blah!!!) space magic based plan of action should result in your ass being handed to you so badly that you'll make the protheans look like they won a decisive victory over the Reapers, when the Reapers wiped them all (forgetting Javik) out.

I believe Javik also mentioned that his galaxy wasn't united at all. The entire galaxy joining together to fight for their lives was, I had believed, one of the biggest messages in the game. Invalidated by this ending, of course, like everything else.

No, that only happens if you kill the first rachni queen and rescue the second. The second queen is an indoctrinated copy

If you let the queen go on Noveria, then meet her again in the mission, then sparing her gives you rachni workers, they never betray you.

I want Mordin to make it.

"Too many variables. Someone else has got it wrong"

Same goes for you're poll.
What I want and will accept are 2 different things, will except being vague enough to cover all the options and some more.
And What I'd personally deep down want, would expect an ending were it is merely possible.

Though at this point I don't care that much, buying the indoc theory headcanon the rest, I don't trust BW enough anymore to pull of something well. Even when they keep saying how integral we are to development and contradict it at every turn.

When are you going to finalize the results of the poll in some thorough numbers?(not asking for this immediately just would be nice to know what the numbers say) Or do you intend to use a single post which you update via edits?

I was simply looking for the option to save the mass relays, I didn't care much which ending this was reflected in. Perhaps there could be a question that reflects this?
