If i have to give just ONE score, it will be a 6 of 10 because i cannot forgte the end. If the beginning would be crap, well you can get over it. But making the end that bad, it makes the whole game a less entertaining experience.

It really is hard to 'rate' the game with the ending as it is. I guess I would say it is '4.5/10'. 9/10 for the game itself, 0/10 for the ending, averaged.

The game was a 7 or 8 at best BEFORE the ending. The terrible quest log, numerous bugs, terrible animation, off lip syncing and God awful eaves-dropping side fetch quests really bog down the main game. Rushed repurposing of the galaxy map stuff from ME2 with that terrible reaper alert system show how rushed the game was.

With the ending, well, most of us definitely wouldn't rate it very highly.

I'm willing to overlook the animation issues, the journal, annoying fetch this side missions, etc. because the majority of the game was great.

People giving the game less than a 5 are outright idiots. If you thought it was that bad you wouldn't have played it enough to complete it yet. And yes I hate the endings, but it's not enough to say the whole game is complete crap.

And by the way, ratings are useless and we shouldn't be giving them out.

ME3 overall - 9/10 (10/10 if we get a romance DLC)
ME3 ending - guess what?! 0/10!

I'd say it's an 8/10 with the ending taken into account, and a 9/10 if I blackout and forget about that part. There are some pretty significant bugs (game freezes, especially) and the incredibly useless quest journal that keep it from being a perfect 10.

It's still a AAA title, though.

Prior to the end, 9/10. I was seriously impressed with the atmosphere and characterizations in this game. There were a few bugs and a few shoddy parts (some animations were jerky), and some of the plot points were kind of meh, but overall it was well worth my 80$ for the CE.

Then I hit the ending. It's like having a wonderful three course meal with a beautiful woman at an expensive restaurant. Then for desert the waiter defecates in a bowl and calls it chocolate ice cream. And he acts all affronted when I say "what?"

Okay, it frankly is impossible to improve upon the epic battle against Marauder Shields, the Avatar of Protection against Mindrape through Bad Endings, so I guess they HAD to come up with god-child and those stupid choices.

Total package, not piecemeal. The journey is just as, if not more, important than the destination in my view. I don't think all of star wars is bad because they put Ewoks in at the very end.

I would have preferred that it wasn't assumed that we had followed the extended universe. I've never read the books/comics so I had no idea who James or Kai Leng were. It seemed like I was supposed to be impressed when Kai Leng was revealed. Instead my reaction was "oh hey an anime character".

I was underwhelmed with the ending, but I wasn't enraged by it like so many seem to be. I would have actually been happy with it if it had a little bit more of an epilogue, a la DA:O.
