Some bugs, lazy animators not using right guns, only 3 truely excellent romances (liara, garrus, tali), effective strength affected by MP, and imbalanced difficulty curve.
I didn't have any problem with the difficulty curve, certain guns and powers were much better than others though. (Scorpion was particularly fun)
I also didn't like that the animations would jump between the guns I was actually using and the "default" guns, although this may be related to the decision to make all the guns look very different (ME1 they all looked the same within the same "class") and also have a large variety within each weapon class (ME2 worked with very few models for the guns). I completely agree with that though.
I disagree with your romance comment, however, I was a Miranda romance and while I would have loved to spend more time with her, the story justified our seperation well enough and she made plenty of attempts to contact Shepard during the game. Her characterization continued to be solid and nothing felt too out of place except that I don't recall being able to have the "I love you" moment with her. I would get excited every time I got a message from her. I'm sure Liara, Garrus, and Tali were all excellent, as they were on-board the Normandy. I would be surprised if Ashley (or Kaiden) was all that bad, since I had a lot of interaction with her as a non-romance. I know there were some not-so-stellar ones: they simply ditched Jacob as an option (I'm not sure many were upset by that) and I've heard you didn't get a lot of time with Thane. I didn't romance Jack but I think I only saw her twice as a non-romance. Are there any I missed?
