3/10 as it is now..But the critics will all tell you it's a 10/10 masterpiece! If only BW listened to real fans of the series instead of paying critics for very biased opinions.

I would personally rate the game prior to the ending a 10/10, and the ending a -10/10. On a scale of one to ten, I would probably say a three is appropriate given the fact the game's prior good content is so build up and anticipation dependent.

10/10... until the ending. 8.5/10 after the ending. Last two games were 10/10.

If the ending is fixed AND provides sufficent choices and resolutions/closure: 9.5/10



The key is that if they add a DLC or expansion for the ending, that it actually enhances and completes what was already done.  There's still a chance that any DLC could make things worse...............even if it is a slim chance.

ME series deserves more than ungrateful whining. The trilogy was utterly groundbreaking in every sense of the word, and was easily one of the best video game experiences of all time.

8.5/10 I won't let one crappy ending spoil so brilliant game what ME3 was. I enjoy all other things in it and the MP is just great. It would be 10/10 if the ending was even decent.

the endings dragged it down and there's also a few glitches than need fixing, apart from that it would be 10/10

Too much combat, not enough exploration. I wanted to see homeworlds not teases of them...and let's not forget Tali's face dissapointment and the crappy ending.

Agreed. The game could have been a 9.5 easily. The ending dropped it down to a 7.5 or 8 at the most.

A bad ending didn't ruin the game for me; I was and still am disappointed, and it nearly killed my urge to replay the thing, but I still think it is GOTY material.  GOTY definate if the ending was better.

It'll probably easily slide into Game of the Year awards solely on the controversy of the ending.  Controversy brews interest, and interest makes people buy the game.

I would give Mass Effect 3 a score of 9.0 - 10.
If not for the endings.

The abysmal endings do not degrade the game in on itself, they degrade...degrade? the endings mutilate the experience of playing the game series as a whole as I keep feeling the same sense of loss and disappointment knowning what awaits me in the end no matter what I do or how well I do it. The worst "conclusion" I've ever had the misfortune to experience in any game to date.

Rendering any rating of the game almost pointless as the thing I truly remember is the disappointment in the end.

The endings are just a nonsensical mess of plot holes and confusion that fly in the face of everything Mass Effect has been and what its fans have come to expect of the series and its characters.

9/10 really good game, the journey was good, sure the ending wasn't too great but overall I loved the game
