For a stock i gues she looks alright. Tho its still abit lazy and kind of an booboo they couldnt make something themself considered they even putt something in there.

But the more i see people discuss tali's face the more i see how divided they are on how she should look. Makes you wonder if anything should have been shown at all, and perhaps as Chris said is better left to the players imagination.

^^^ Almost every bit of fan-art looks better than what we got. It even looks like someone actually put effort into it. They should NOT have put the picture in the game so when all of us talimancers complained, they would've said "THIS is what were going to put in". Then we would've all said "Crap. Never mind. Dodged a bullet."

Umm...I haven't seen her face yet...do I have to romance her to see it?
Also, the image I see people use is a woman with 5 fingers ant Tali has 3 (count then, 3).
Where is an image of her actual face?

I never cared for tali, when she took her mask off in my first play through I gasped and was on the edge of my seat. Then I found out what they really did to reveal her face and lold, good thing I never really cared what she looked like or I might have been really mad.

Yep I kinda agree with Chris. No matter what everybody has their own version of what Tali/Quarians look inside their helmets.

The best thing to would have been to not show her face and let people come up with whatever ideas they had. Less ****ing to be honest.

Didn't see the reveal due to not romancing Tali (Femshep with Garrus)...the pic above, is that her or a "fan"version? Even if that is, I'd gladly take it as the official one, she looks absolutely beautiful.
I would have been totally fine with not revealing her face. Even when she took off her mask on her homeworld and I did not get to see her face because the camera stubbornly stayed in her back, I was merely grinning and saying, " Nice cop-out, you bastards", but in a friendly, banter-like way.
I enjoyed the teasing for that.

Well, the stock image does not look that bad. Maybe because their was so much mystery of what was behind the mask, people were dissapointed that they used a stock image.

But Casey Hudson said, they saw that image and decided that was her.

So if that was their vision of Tali, let them have their vision of Tali.

It may have been a better idea to leave her mask on

Considering the stigma surrounding Tali's face, i honestly can't think of a worse way to reveal it than the path they actually chose.

I didn't really care whether they showed it or not. But it should have been done properly or not at all.

I agree, and I do think 'Do it right, or don't do it at all' applies very well here.

If they really wanted to show her off, they'd made a proper render, or at least drawn their own picture. Instead, they googled a stock photo, and chopped of half the hand and called it a day. So instead of keeping the mystery and letting people wonder, they went out and showed us how little effort they actually put into it, by using a stockphoto anyone can find on google.

Nice pic. Is this a photoshop of what quarians could have looked like?

Personally I kind of like Tali's face

- This means that we finally have another species that grows hair besides humans. Every other species is either based on birds, or reptiles, or something like that.

- The photo is blury, even in good resolution, so it still allows players to imagine what the textures of her skin would be like. I personally imagine quarians with having rough skin similar to turians due to their chicken legs.

- Her eyes glow which matches up with the way her eyes looked through her helmet.

- It seemed like they tried to do something with the nose so that's another thing to wonder about.

All in all I'm not devastated. It was a bad photoshop, poor presentation, poor reveal, etc, but at least Bioware finally manned up and showed a quarian's face.

Although I would have prefered if Tali's face was a photoshopped image of Liz Sroka.

They could've done some quick drawing and be done with it. But I guess copy pasting web images is easier.

No thats what you think a quarian should look like. Im perfectly fine with Tali's reveal. If thats how Bioware wanted Tali to look, thats how Tali looked.

Heck, might as well have been a better idea to leave the mask on, had more of a mystery to it

I thought the picture was ok when I first saw it. When I found out it was a photoshopped stock picture I thought, "They had 5 years to come up with something and this is the best they could do?" Kinda like when Bruce Willis in Armageddon when he was asking NASA about their contingency plan.

 I've said this before, but I was happy with how she looks. We could already see her nose, eyes, and other small facial features behind her mask. It showed that she was clearly very human-looking. While I'm not overly impressed with the photoshopped picture, it is more than appropriate.


In short, I like Tali

Just found image on the wiki and now understand what you guys mean.
I think she looks more like a human with 3 fingers, tatoos and contacts than an alien that looks human.
