Did ME3 ending kill series replayability completely?

Just curious here.  I think most of us have multiple shepard saves collecting electronic dust right now.  I'm under the impression that there's is no point in importing any of them because:

1) You can get the "different" endings in the end just by picking A/B/C, and
2) All you have to do to get your EMS up above 5000 is play MP, which isn't dependent on your imports

So basically, I could have randomly picked any major choices I wanted throughout the series (e.g. saving Rachnii queen, saving Council, etc.) and I'd still be able to pick my favourite color in the end; and the only thing that I'd need to do to see Shepard take half a breath in the end, is to play MP.

Thanks, Bioware!

EDIT: need to clarify something here - I don't regret playing and experiencing the ME series at all.  I had hella fun with the games and felt enriched by them in the process.  I'm speaking from the standpoint of replaying the entire series to experience different endings, with different closures and different futures.  Right now, as the ending stands, I can experience those "different" endings with just a single import.

That about sums it up yeah.

I had several different saves I was going to import and play through to enjoy the different experiences based on my choices. After importing one save and then doing a speed clear on a non-import game (wanted barrier as a bonus power) and seeing the "differences" I gave up.

It's not just the ending that voids your choices.

Zero replay with current endings.

This pretty much fits the business model for huge corporate entities like EA though. Replay means you wont buy new games because you're still enjoying the old ones. Obviously this means push out as much crap as possible so that there is always a constant flow of revenue. Just look at ME for example. Once ME 1 released there was 1 patch and still to this day has issues but ME2 was slated for release so why invest in ME1 anymore.

Once ME3 was starting to be marketed ME2 DLC vanished.

Bioware's MO since EA buyout is:

Release game.
Ignore
Release game.
Ignore

Rinse/Repeat.

Yeah ... I hate that it feels like this.

The game is only about a week old and I just have ZERO desire to touch it. Was planning on relaxing tonight and tomorrow with ME3, but now I'm kicking back with a few Blu-rays instead.

In a word, Yes.

Mostly because the Mass Relays are destroyed and Joker abducted my crew. Otherwise, the ending would not bother me much.

Hold the line.

Yep my sheps are staying in storage. Why would i want to import them given the current plothole ridden awful railroaded ending make the previous games seem pointless and kill my motivation to replay.

Yes, even playing ME1 and ME2 feel irrelevant with the current bad endings in ME3.

It did for me. No point in going back and letting the council die or destroying the collector base if it all ENDS THE SAME. Oh well

It sure didn't help. If Bioware really doesn't do anything about the ending, I don't think I'll be spending much time playing ME3. I'll go back to Mass Effect 2, and whenever I finish I'll just start reading one of the better stories on FanFiction.com

For me it did. I'm sure there are some who will be like...

"Awesome! I can't wait to play again with different choices even though I know all the endings are the same and my choices don't amount to anything in the end!"

I won't replay 1 and 2 because the gameplay is worse. I'll replay 3 fine.

I am replaying ME1 at the moment and will play through 2 as well, if only to remember happier times. While playing, i try my best to completely forget the ending or imagine the one I wrote to get it out of my system. So far, it works and maybe when my current two Shepards have reached 3, the ending will be fixed :)
Hope dies last.
Holding the line.

It did for me. I have saves in ME1 and ME2 that I was going to go through to bring them into ME3 to see how my different choices would affect things. Knowing now that nothing I did in the previous games (or ME3 for that matter) has any impact on the ending of the entire series has basically made me completely uninterested in playing the game again.

I'll still replay because in my own mind I have my own ending that makes sense. I'm not throwing out the rest of the game because of the ending. I paid money for it and I'm going to enjoy it. The only thing the ending ruined was any trust I have in Bioware. I'm not pre-ordering anything from them until I hear reviews and then I'm waiting weeks to buy it so I can get it cheaply.
