I will still be replaying my saves just to see the different paths to the lame endings. But man, this had some serious potential. If the endings had actual differences and if your choices added small things to it, then fans everywhere would be raving about them.

Example, let's say one of the endings is Shepard destroys the Reapers, crashes the Crucible and dies like a hero and then there would be a funeral for Shepard. All of the surviving squadmates would say a few sentences about how Shepard affected them (Did I do the loyalty missions from ME 2, side missions from ME 1, etc) as well as important representatives of races (Did the Geth and Quarians make peace, did I save the Krogan from genocide, did I save the original Council, etc). And if my love interest was capable of being impregnated ( Liara for both Shepards, Ash/Miranda for Male Shep) then the love interest could even hold a baby from Shepard (Again, being an option). Hell, they could even have Shepard's background matter for an extra character appearance (Shepards mom for Space, Finch and some Reds for Earth, Tabitha and some colonists for Colonist etc).

Sigh.

I don't see myself enjoying any of mass effect anymore. I can't even look through the Art of Mass Effect Universe artbook right now.

No. If anything, it increased replayability to a whole new level. My ending for my first playthrough was Save-Krogan+Geth-Quarian-Peace+Verner-getting-the-girl+destroy-Reapers+... The list goes on, really. I'm gonna have to try different combinations.

Didnt kill replayability at all. I'm OK with the endings. People are just too spoilt these days.

It's like drinking a cool glass of great tasting beer on a swealtering day..Just to hit a foul tasting residue of rotting sediment on the bottom..Try as you might to remember the goodness that most of it was  your viserl reaction always dreges up that final taste first..So you switch to Lemondae and try to forget..

yeah, I had to take the ME icons off my desktop. I tried to play my second shepard but as soon as I loaded up ME3 I felt sick and exited.

Reaper Logic: Arrest people before they commit the crimes and kill them so that they can't have criminal children.
Bioware Shepard: Sounds good to me, What color do you want for your final solution space Hitler?
*The choice of the color is yours!*
Player (me): Eh.. what? I'm going to play Skyrim, at least they don't force me to kill paarthunax because he's a dragon.

Well I am playing 3 again, to get achievements and such. I think the ending will really only kill the motivation to replay 3. I think(and hope) that I can still enjoy 1 & 2 for what they are.

No, it's all for nothing.

Everybody's trapped in Sol, so reclaiming planets, solving conflicts and saving species doesn't mean a thing as the dextro fleets will starve and the krogan will die out, having left all their females behind.

Yes, I made some saves with different decisions that I thought meant something, like blowing up or keeping the collector base, killing or rewriting the heretics, etc. Feel pretty dumb for doing that now.

My replays were always the same.

The journey is written, but not the destination. Fate will always rear its ugly head, but how you get to it is infathomable.

We don't know.

That was BioWare's intention: to keep us guessing.

Yes.

No matter what you do, say or ****-up, it will always come back to the same ending. Why bother?

You sure that's all there is to the ending?

Yes. For me. I'll still play the multiplayer since there isn't any story there.

The Quarians brought their liveships(Provided you didn't let the Geth murder everyone). So they have the capacity to create dextro-food. Considering that the bulk of their civilian crew would have been left on Rannoch, and you can see that the Quarians can produce more food than they themselves can consume.  The Turians can live off their rations, barter for food with the Quarians and eventually retro-fit some of their cruisers (Or create colonies on Mars, Io or Earth) to produce food of their own.

Consider also that the Geth (Again, assuming the Quarians didn't destroy them) can make use of just about any planet in the Sol system for raw materials or to spearhead colonization for organics.. It's not all that bleak.

The Krogan females don't matter, I didn't cure the Genophage anyhow. Joke's on them.

I won't be playing it again unless some changes come out that are interesting. The endings pretty much killed it for me, really. I don't care much about taking other decisions in various plot points if, in the end, you're looking at a dark age one way or the other.

I started a New Game+, but couldn't get beyond the first Citadel visit.

Same here, except for the fact that for me the "stuck point" is Palaven (and not because I particularly like that part of the game or something)
Somehow after beating the game once I just can't get beyond that mission with any of my other characters. One day I fully expect that brute to say something like "Oh God, not you again..."

I have absolutely no motivation to play this game or the previous installments now that I know it's all for naught.

"Five years ruined in five minutes?" Indeed.

Yes. I played ME 6-7 times with all sidemissions. ME2 10-15 times. ME3 once and I can't even replayed it, it's pointless.
