Starting as a lvl1 Adept it felt like my biotic explosions (which can take several seconds to set up with 1 person. Even with Liara focusing on having a low CD singularity to buy time, made me feel at times that "my adept isn't doing much" and crawling through insanity.
Infiltrator as a fresh lvl1 in comparison was a lot easier than adept. Since you can get good sniper time dilation early. Cloak just makes things die faster and lets you reposition.

When you import difficulty doesn't matter. Insanity as a level1 is much harder. For example, an ME2 Imported Adept + Liara can just throw double stasis bubbles and singularities and never get swarmed and just detonate everything. Its fun, but I never felt threatened by Insanity at all.

So? The game should have been balanced around level 30 import. Insanity is a joke in ME3.

Thats true it should've, and I'm sorry I didn't make my point more clear. Compared to ME2 Import (where you could only start off with a few bonus levels) ME3's import is far more overpowering.Kronner wrote...

It's easy cause you have yet to meet Marauder Shields.
They're easy enough to handle. Good for Warp/Throw combos when they bunch up to thin the ranks.

I really miss the concepts in ME1, RPG elements are just completely taken out of the actual combat in this game, its basicly like Call of Duty multiplayer with customisable guns and perks. Even miss the overheating mechanic in ME1, they just threw that out of the window and gave us ammo instead..
Sorry might be ranting abit but I guess my point is that the difficoulty isnt scaled to the fast paced action the games have, it feels like it needs a couple of additional layers of difficoultly above Insanity.

Doing my second play through on insanity now and I can see those two parts being difficult. Also, quick question. I've completed the game but I started again with another imported shepard. Will I be able to upgrade my weapons to level 10 or no?

A 2 year old kid and/or an 90 year old grandma (who never used a computer before) can play ME3 Insanity. It's a matter of button mashing only. The BW "press a button and something awesome happens" faction got its way. It's irrelevant to use teamwork, squadmates, weapons or the right powers at the right time. Just do something, anything, and enemies will die quickly.
Enemy AI has been improved slightly, but ironically the broken and boring ME1 OP powers have made a return and this time they're on a 1 second cooldown. Ridiculous IMHO.

So I'm far from being among the best gamers. I'm slightly below average at best I would say. But I'm finding Mass Effect 3, on insanity, to be only slightly harder than it is on normal. (I actually died more on my first playthrough on normal than I have so far on insanity). So, is it just me or is ME3's insanity difficuly level a big step down from that of ME2?
how far in are you? mars is easy. do grissom academy the minute it's availble and then revisit this thread after you hit the atrium there.

So if I start my Insanity playthrough at level 60 it will be crazy easy?
yes and now
i found the higher level you are for your insanity playthrough, the nastier the grissom academy atrium tends to be. but with a ng+ and rank x weapons it's easier than just an me2 import.

unless they dodge your initial warp
stasis+throw, stasis+warp or stasis+shoot in head are better because they cant dodge stasis. the asplode isnt quite as powerful, but it's guaranteed

So what? When they dodge they cannot shoot you. And since recharge speed is faster than their dodge animation you only have to cast it again. Dodging is nothing more than one of those random and annoying features that are supposed to make the game "harder". It only slows you down for a second (or maybe two).

if they dodge that's another 2-3 seconds they are still alive. unless you already did a detonate and have the 40% bonus running, your warp recharge is not less than their dodge.
