I was playing a game of multiplayer as a Vanguard on Firebase Dagger while fighting Reapers. I went to Biotic charge a Cannibal which was behind a Brute, and the Brute hit me causing me to stagger as I charged. For the next two rounds my character felt kinda glitchy and was jumping up and down on my screen. When I would go to take cover my character was just hovering about 7 feet above the cover.
Then in between a round I stood still for a second and my character started taking off like a rocket ship. I floated above the satelite dishes and then as far up as the map would physically take me. Apparently I was still vulnerable because I was taken down by a Cannibal somehow while my shields and health were being eaten away by acid from a dead ravenger.
I then used a medigel to see if reviving myself would fix the problem. I got up underneath the map and then teleported back up to the highest point imaginable (the map looked like a very small square). Then my character started doing an animation like she was falling and I was constantly taking damage but I could never die. I kept seeing the effect of a Banshees warp-like skill on me as well as the acid corroding my body. I started using Nova and melee and when my teammates would kill things I would somehow get assists.
Game ended, we got a partial extraction because I obviously couldn't get to the extraction point being in the planet's outer atmosphere and all. Figured I'd share this in the hopes someone knows what might have been wrong so I can avoid having this happen in the future, although the view was nice.

That's happened to me on multiple occasions. Today, it actually happened to me as the same class, in the same level, fighting the same enemy as you described.
I wouldn't mind finding out if it was the game itself, if it was my internet connection, or it had something to do with whoever was hosting the game.

The same thing happened to me, as well. It happened on multiple maps while playing as a Vangaurd.

This has also happened to my vanguard twice. I also saw it happen to another vanguard earlier today.

sounds similar to what me and a few friends have dubbed "the moon walk glitch"
What happens is pretty much exactly what you described at first, bouncing around while running floating above cover. Usually this leads to the inability to move at a speed faster than a slow walk you can still run and on both your screen and your friends screen it appears that you are running but not really moving anywhere you in a sense you slowly moonwalk forward.
I once had a version of this that reset itself after I fell through the map, once had a version where when I tried to run away from a trio of banshees I flew through a hole in the ceiling of firebase giant and then off the map (it was actually pretty funny this time) never to return, and once it kept bouncing me onto the head of our teams sniper which meant that if I tried to move at all I would mess up his shot.

So, anyway.. Does anyone know what's causing this? My Vanguard is currently stuck in the floor in Firebase Reactor. I figured since I can't move or do anything, I might as well check up on this post.

Old glitch that has yet to have been noted as working on, not cared about, or lost in what to do. BioWare drops the ball with ME3 all the time it seems.

It's a combination the the charge ability combined with the death animation. Apparently the biotic charge doesn't cancel out when you die part way through causing you to not be actually on the ground when you revive. This then breaks the games physics for you as you either pop up floating around while walking over cover ot getting stuck in/under the scenery.BillyCapron wrote...

Ooooh. You know what. That makes sense. Now that I think about it, it does start when I die and charge at the same time.
