FIXED - Characters being wiped/losing their items.

Hi Everyone

We wanted to give you an update to let you know that after the server maintenance that took place this morning, the issue people were having where their characters were unexpectedly having their items deleted has now been fixed. There is now no danger of your character being wiped and you losing your weapons, items, etc.
 
This was a server side fix that will prevent characters from being wiped. There is still a remote chance that characters may be disconnected from their current map and may receive a message they have lost connection to the host. If this occurs you will be returned to the multiplayer menu and will be unable join other games, unable to see leader boards and will receive errors when purchasing from the store. Returning to the main menu and re-entering mp will not fix the issue and you will appear to still be connected to the server on the main menu. Should you encounter this issue, you will need to restart Mass Effect 3 and restart Multiplayer. This is very unlikely to occur and will be addressed in the next physical patch.
 
For those players who have lost items to this point, we are working on helping you. We will have more information for you soon.

Thanks, but since the maintenance I have encountered terrible lag spikes. Has anyone else?

Exciting! I'm glad to see the fix containment being implemented to quickly.

I understand restoring lost items will have more information "soon", but should players expect around the same turnaround (i.e. 7+ days), or to have their items restored in time for the Silver week?

Nice work!

But I'd like to now if we're (probably) going to get back everything we lost even if the bug happened multiple times to us or not ... That's just because it happened to me a second time some days ago and I don't want to risk loosing all those items by "restarting" my character with playing again after the relock ... Or is there no issue with continuing playing after you had a relock happen to you?

Thanks for the long awaited post. So it is safe to play right now? Some people recently posted losing things still.

My main question is, if we lost stuff, but you said you're working to help us, can we still play in the meantime? Would doing that hurt my chances of getting back lost items?

Great, good thing that you finally fixed this. Though as far as the refunding of lost items goes, "soon" is not good enough.

I still don't know if it is safe for me to play multiplayer at this moment in time. I am not playing it for over a week now, patiently waitining for my refund (either in form of BioWare points or credits tbh I do not really care which way you will give me back my stuff).

So please, give us some information on ETA for refund NOW, not soon, because I don't want to miss awesome community challenge that is coming this week.

Or at least confirm that it is safe to play multiplayer meaning that I will get to keep all unlockables that I obtain now, after you refund my lost gear.

yeah, i can definitely say people are still losing things i just lost 25000 credits today. and i had one pack unlock itself only for me to find that i didnt actually get the cards i drew. when was this fixed because this happened to me like 4 hours ago

Was fixed within the past hour to 2 hours I believe. I could be wrong, but I was bumped off the multiplayer around that time, so I assume that is when. Kinda sucks that you lost those things so close to the fix though :(

It would be nice to know the nature of how our equipment will be restored. If you guys will be giving us packs (which I'm completely find with) for the ones we purchased - then I know I could play this weekend without worrying about getting anymore packs. If you guys are doing based off items that were lost, no way will I play and get more packs knowing I might be unlocking items I already unlocked before the reset.

I would be terribly bummed out if I couldn't get the magical uber N7 pack for the Goliath event because I had missing stuff =(

Yeah I hope they do something that doesn't interfere with what I got post-bug. I just got a revenant, and it's my favorite rifle in the game; didn't have it pre-bug. Dun wanna lose it =P

I only lost a Spectre pack, but it was with Bioware points...second Spectre pack I've lost since playing. Not a HUGE deal but i'd like to have them lol.

Well at least this is a start, but still waiting to see how the missing items and characters will be taken care of. I (as well as many other people hit with this glitch) have been holding off to see how it would be handled.

It is nice to get an update on the situation.

Also nice to know that they are "working on helping" those of us who have lost items.

But like some of the other people are wondering how will this help affect us if we are playing now and gaining new items.
Will the items current levels be added to old ones we had?
Will we lose all progress we gained if we played while playing without old items?
I appreciate them working on this and hope a solution to come soon. But some more information would always be appreciated if they can give any.
