FIXED - Characters being wiped/losing their items.

Noticed it just now when i accidentally tried to go into the store menu when i was already "ready". It simply stated that doing so was impossible. Easy, but effective work around of the problem.

You didn't lose the credits.  If you exit the game after receiving the error and restart your credits will be gone, but you will have received the new items/upgrades.  You won't get the screen that tells you which cards you got though.  I always get that error so exiting/restarting is how I've been making most of my recent purchases.


That seems to be the exception, not the rule. I've had seven failed attempts to purchase Veteran Packs, but none of my uncommon weapons were upgraded, no additional classes were unlocked, and none of the already-unlocked classes had additional color customizations unlocked. I did,  however, get the Incisor.

.I didn't even get my medi-gel refilled, so I was running around on a prayer earlier this week until I figured out how to get some purchases through.

This.

I lost $10 in Microsoft points as well as countless hours of gameplay. I had every character unlcoked except the Asari Adept and a whole slew of weapons including the Graal Spike Thrower, Geth Plasma Shotgun and Paladin. Not to mention weapon mods, medi-gels, rockets, ammo packs etc...

So i put how many hours and how much money into the game and you're still "working on it" how many days later?
All starter weapons level X, Widow III, Geth Plasma Shotgun IV, Grall Spike Thrower IV, All characters except the krogans- countless hours of my life i could've been spending doing other things, afew bucks in microsoft points that could've been spent on other things--- ALL GONE.
And Having an event during this BEFORE you compensate those affected by this is simply a slap in the face bioware.

Well, yes they are unhappy because those people who were affected by the bug - the only people who can be unhappy right now - still have their profiles affected by the bug. So they didn't do anything for them yet. Or maybe did, and we don't know about it. Which is why I asked for some updates.

Anyway, I also hope they'll fix it soon. I'll go hold my panties now :lol:

I'm on the same boat I lost about $30, I'm just happy they fixed it.. I can wait on my refund or whatever it is because I know they working on it because if they weren't we wouldn't be posting in this topic... People want info well here it is, play Readers on Silver instead of b****ing if we reach 1,000,000 Brute kills we get 2 boxes that will reward us with N7 items they will come up with a refund just help the community out by reaching the goal.

Well they still haven't said a word if playing after a relock happened has affects on the chance of regaining the stuff you lost or not ...

Should you encounter this issue, you will need to restart Mass Effect 3 and restart Multiplayer. This is very unlikely to occur and will be addressed in the next physical patch.
 
For those players who have lost items to this point, we are working on helping you. We will have more information for you soon.

Except just now I lost 60.000 credits after a successful silver reaper run.
What happened:
Prior to match I had about 40.000 credits. We extracted successfully and back in the public lobby, 3 friends, 1 random. Random map, Reaper faction, silver difficulty. Store is blinking with NEW (god how I hate that) and have 75.000 credits, enough for a brand new Specter pack. I push Store button, after a little "thinking" am inside. Double clicked Specter pack, selected 60.000 option, and we are back to "thinking", except this time its slightly longer. Money is subtracted and I get an error message I sadly dont remember, something about not being able to perform that action at the moment. Then more "thinking", slightly shorter than previous "thinking" but the money is back in my pocket. I still cannot buy anything, so I quit the lobby and go to store again, same deal.

From here on I have to options, restart the game and try again or play another match. Both options may or may not lead to catastrophic results in me loosing 60.000 credits for no good reason.

Could you fix that too?

Just reload the game, it should be back.

Oh thank goodness. I lost 40 bucks worth of bioware points and have not touched the multiplayer until this announcement. :) Still am sad about the loss of the cash, but I will wait it out even longer. Only thing I can do I suppose.

Just reload the game, it should be back. 


Was I not clear enough?  After a failed purchase money is returned to me, but in order to be able to purchase anything from the store I have to A) Reload the game or B) Play another match. Both A and B have the chance of making 60.000 credits disappear. Meaning when I had 75.000 credits and failed to purchase a Specter pack I was left with 15.000 credits and an error message, when I click OK on the error message, a brief lag and I am back to 75.000 credits.
Except I still cannot purchase anything from the store, the only solution is A or B, this is when my money magically vanish.

Got to love the space magic!

Nice to see you guys fix'd it. I spent quite a lot of money buying points to get some veteran/spectre packs and i got all my stuff relocked when i was N7 190. Hopefully we will get our stuff back.

Just lost 60k too, tried to buy a specter pack gives me a error. Credits were subtracted then after a load comes back. Restart the game and the 60k is subtracted and no pack. Restarted the game went to the store and still nothing.

Also checked everything, admittedly I Don't know the exact number of missiles and ammo I  had but medi gel still 0 and no new levels and no new weapons or characters.

I had the exact same issue. Contacted EA support, but unfortunately it does not look like they can do much (if anything) about it and they basically said your best bet is posting on the forums.

For the record: I had the issue, quit the game, restarted multiplayer, saw the credits had gone without providing anything new. I was not at the match waiting screen etc. at the time, I had exited to the multiplayer menu (like in the second screenshot) then proceeded to the store.

The exact message displayed was - "One or more of your purchases failed to process. If this error continues to appear, please contact customer support."

Here's some screenshots - the before/after. (Credits disapeared, nothing new - I didn't take a picture of the character screen, but nothing new there either, there were also no additional medi-gels, ammo packs, etc.).

So I've got a question... I've been playing with my Asari Adept after my items were wiped because if I switched characters I'd lose her. Now that the wipe bug has been fixed, if I switch to my soldier will I still lose my Asari adept?

Not yet ... they fixed the bug which made you loose all your stuff but they've not fixed those accounts which lost stuff yet.

Not yet ... they fixed the bug which made you loose all your stuff but they've not fixed those accounts which lost stuff yet.


Ah, came here to double check this. Logged in and was missing a Character I spent most of yesterday gearing up. It is now safe to purchase items again?

Since 3/09 I have had my stuff removed... Over a week of me essentially giving money for a promise of a IOU is getting annoying. "Soon" says nothing, and the longer it takes the more I have to get ready to contact my CC company and contest the charges. -_-

I'm not gana wait for 2 weeks or a week an a half, when this isn't something user error created.
