Since Bioware has allowed us to create as many characters as we wanted in the past, I assume that's also the plan for Dragon Age. As I said, I haven't heard of anything to the contrary, and I've lurked pretty thoroughly on the DAO boards over the years.

I have faith that Bioware won't let that kind of stupidity happen though.

No, the day 1 DLC has nothing to do with greed. Read up on it. Secondly, the OP already took back the mistake of making this thread, so don't worry about it. <_<Eoweth wrote...
Given EA's respect for players (ha!) and it's blatant greed (as witnessed by Day One DLC... just add it to the game people!) I could certainly see EA trying to make people pay for characters in a single player offline game. <br />

Not too fan the flames... but have you considered that the DLC wont be finished early enough to be added to the Gold version? Most games after all go gold several weeks to a month before the game is released so they have time to manufacture and distribute it. DLCs on the other hand could be being tested and tweaked as little as a couple days before they are actualy released. If adding Wardens Keep to the final on-disc version meant that the game would be delayed by weeks would you want them to do so?Eoweth wrote...

You're right, EA should just recall all its copies of DA:O already through the press, print new CD's with the DLC included into the game, and print entirely new boxes and take back all the promotional campaigns about DLC on the first day of release to just put everything they can on the disc and then ship it off again, so people can work twice as hard for a very minor inconvenience for the users.
That makes perfect sense.
As for the character slots, I could only see a need for them on the X-box 360 or PS3 versions. They don't have the same type of hard-drive storage as a PC does, albeit similar.
Even then it's really unlikely.

I agree.Sakarakas wrote...
I've certainly never heard of a single-player game requiring you to pay for character slots. MMO's, sure, but not SP's.

I think that should be reversed. EA has a bad reputation. It is Bioware that is having a good effect on EA.Mordaedil wrote...
I think EA is having a good influence on BioWare. Their popularity surely is soaring.

If you have 26 Shepards I think Bioware should seriously consider charging you though
