I was playing the game and it seems to have capped me at level 25 for some reason... is there a level cap? I didn't think there was. I am not gaining levels anymore though. Is this a known bug? I have seen other posts about different characters seeing NaN on character attributes but not on their experience gauge...
Can anyone help with this?
Thanks.
Exp Bar says "0/NaN experience point to level 26"

I looked at the XP 2da earlier today. It looks as if level 25 is the highest level accounted for. I'm sure more could easily -- figuratively speaking, of course -- be added in with a little extension (And, say, altering the Specialisation gain so you can pick up all four...).
Not sure what that "fPointVal" column is, though -- or why it keeps fluctuating.

Level 25 is the highest level you can reach in game without modifications.
The last I heard, theres not actually enough content in game to reach level 25 without the use of any of the XP bugs/glitches.

There are random encounters which you can farm for experience I guess. I've reached level 23 by the time I've finished the game for the first time and that was with skipping some side quets, so I guess it's not all that hard to reach level 25 just by traveling/killing more.

I hit 23 before completing and I did all but a few quests. 25 MIGHT be possible, with things like the Archivist's Belt equipped at all codex entries and such, and EVERY quest, but highly unlikely.

I was only level 20 when finishing the game, but I did have a bunch of side quests I didn't finish.
Theres a point when "random" encounters stop, I didn't see any when travelling near the end apart from the merchant that seemed to be everywhere in the world at once.
I'm half way through my second play through and am planning to do everything there is to do this time round, including kill everything.

Elf root really isn't a bug or glitch.

Random encounters do NOT stop unless you've gone through all them. I was still running into random darkspawn attacks on my way to Redcliffe and Denerim for the final battles.

I'd call the elf root more of a developer oversight than a bug. It definitely wasn't designed around buying infinite cheap elf root to grind to max level.
I must have hit most encounters then, because I was running into the merchant almost every time. Either way there seems to be a limited amount of mobs to kill in the game as is.

Without mods?
