I love your analysis and have been keeping up with it. I filed a complaint with the FTC against EA citing specific statements their marketing campaign made about the content of the game, specifically the endings, and how that didn't match with what was in the actual product. I made a thread on here explaining what I'd done and how others could do so as well, and predictably recieved a mixed reaction. The story has now gone viral on gaming news sites.

Many have said this hurts the movement and it's legitimacy, but I disagree (obviously, or I wouldn't have done it). In your opinion, from a PR perspective, did my action help or harm?

And please, I know some folks will want to jump down my throat right away, but I'd appreciate it if you didn't fill up the thread with a bunch of hate. Just start a thread calling me an idiot or pm me, or at least wait until atghunter has had a chance to respond.

I think you jumped the gun a little too soon considering it's been out two-three weeks and they've started to listen to us. Nevertheless that was the action you took and while I disagree with it I won't hold it against you.

An internet campaign by consumers to address a perceived flawed product is the same as Jonestown in your mind? I guess that makes atghunter our version of James Warren Jones?

And I thought I had a warped mind! If an internet campaign of this nature is a cult, what does that make the social media involvement we saw during the protests in Egypt and Syria? Just curious.

Ah the CNN stuff was great, we're winning people out there. Even if it's just one out of every hundred. Each person that wakes up and realizes how bad the ending was is another ally we can use. However we must stay on target of getting Bioware to address the endings and give us a real true and new ending to the series.

We hold grievances with the current ending and EA/BioWare because:

• The game's ending fails to meet what we were promised as consumers.

• The game's ending fails to meet our expectations as fans.

• The response from BioWare needs to change.

• We have jobs, families, responsibilities. We dedicate our time to this cause because we genuinely care about Mass Effect and its story.

• We want to see a product that we, as human beings, as consumers, as fans, and as players can be proud of.
