Ah the CNN stuff was great, we're winning people out there. Even if it's just one out of every hundred. Each person that wakes up and realizes how bad the ending was is another ally we can use. However we must stay on target of getting Bioware to address the endings and give us a real true and new ending to the series.
This! We can win we just have to continue to work together. They need us a lot more then we need them. So far I have gotten four people who don't post here to join the boycott.
Hold the line for as long as it takes people.

From what I have read they are about the same as everyone else. A lot of complaints about the ending.
I was just curious. I know Japan has one of the biggest gamer communities in the world.

In japan <"few"> people bought ME3, mostly because of complains and negative reviews
PS: just rumors, may be wrong
Good, if true.

An internet campaign by consumers to address a perceived flawed product is the same as Jonestown in your mind? I guess that makes atghunter our version of James Warren Jones?
And I thought I had a warped mind! If an internet campaign of this nature is a cult, what does that make the social media involvement we saw during the protests in Egypt and Syria? Just curious.
The troll was definitely tasteless, but when we get one in here that doesn't seem willing to talk like that nice fellow earlier, just let his posts go ignored, please. It will make it easier for those trying to read the thread to follow a lot if we don't resort to sinking down to the troll's warped level.
In addition, I don't know if you meant it like this, but I think atghunter specifically asked not to be held up as a leader, strategically it makes it harder for BW PR to pin us down and 'cut off the head' so to speak. He is our beloved comrade with strikingly good advice, but we are all holding this line together.

There's no voodoo at work here - I'm just sitting on my couch reading this on my iPad, it has been a difficult week, I'm very tired.
You mentioned it's been a difficult week. Out of curiosity, why has it been a difficult week?
Again out of curiosity, and if you don't mind me asking are you a (just) forum moderater or one of the developers?
Im the senior marketing guy....one of them. Have been for the whole franchise really. I can't tell if your question is serious or if yer messing with methe fan reaction is difficult to watch, after all the hard work basically. I'm not a moderator really, just an employee.
Forgive me Jerett if this is obtrusive, but I don't understand. Of all the people on the credits list, all the playtesters, the doctors, all of them, intelligent and dedicated people to be sure, but none of them, not one, got to this ending and felt unsatisfied? I just can't believe that. The ramifications of just the mass relays being destroyed, ignoring everything else is huge and damning to the entire fleet in the Sol system. Did no one see that? Are we ignoring lore, the big picture? It was the first thing I asked seconds after it happened. Not one guy asked: "hey what's going on here?" It just baffles me.
I just can't let this go. It strikes me as odd that a developer, that is close to their fans and their work, couldn't see that this ending would leave a large part of the playerbase empty and unfulfilled. Hollow, angry, and yearning for answers. "Husks" if you will. I understand what it's like seeing something you created dismantled by the playerbase, but I can't help but feel that Bioware was extremely naive if they didn't see this coming. If this is indeed a surprise to you sir, and this isn't all some ruse by Bio as an early April Fools joke then the amount of fatigue and weariness you must be suffering from is indeed unfortunate.
This is a fantastic thread all, keep it up.

I don't want to see Bioware suffer. But I, like a lot of people, invested a lot of time in this series that just felt cheapened by the ending. If they're willing to work with the fans on this somehow, I won't have any problems with them at all.

I personally loved the vast majority of the game, up until those last 10 minutes. That's the reason we are on here- we love the game so much, and were so disappointed by an otherwise stellar title.
You of course, are welcome to your own opinion, and I respect that, regardless if you disagree with us.

worked hard to create Mass Effect 3 everyone knows this and it truly is a
masterpiece, I was happy to pay for day 1 DLC, it not only helps the company,
but it also keeps them running so they can keep bringing us the games we have
all come to love and enjoy. I found the DLC to be amazing, and completely worth
the time and effort that Bioware put into the game. I sadly was one of the many
upset with the ending, but it is only because I have invested so much into the
Mass Effect Universe, we all have, it truly is an amazing franchise that
Bioware has created and everyone can agree to that no matter what side you’re
on. They could do so much better and take the franchise so far if they take a
little bit more time to look at the ending and remake it. Bioware has always been a great company, but
they could make themselves even greater, not only could they regain the faith
of their fans; they could gain so much more. What some people don't understand
is something like this cannot be free DLC, Bioware puts their heart and soul's
into making it, and this takes time, late nights, and money sadly. I believe
there is a way for both the Fans and Bioware to come to an agreement that will
not help only us. There is a way Bioware could regain their fan base, and actually
gain publicity and much more. They should make the DLC, we all know for a fact
this will take time and money, which is a fact of life. But perhaps there is a
slight alternative to this? I suggest that Bioware release this DLC with a
price, some of you are probably already thinking, "What is he talking
about?! Make us pay for an ending we already should have had!?" But hear
me out, not too long ago the Mass Effect 3 Petition was created, it has already
raised around $40,000+ for Charity to Childs Play. I think it would be in
Bioware’s best interest to charge for the ending DLC, but donate the funds to
charity to Childs Play. Bioware's publicity would sky rocket, they would regain
our faith, we would get our ending DLC, and we would be donating to a good
cause as well. I think this is an acceptable compromise that we could all agree
on to pay for the ending DLC.

You're not wrong, it is harsh... but there really is no other way to fix it. Do you think a company that just counts dollars is going to take you seriously because "This didn't fit the philosophy of the the rest of the game?". We are consumers, we didn't like what we consumed so... here we are. The movie analogy is also a good one... the ending of a movie is what you walk out remembering, you can reflect on how awesome the middle part was but the ending colors your entire view of the movie and might make you not even want to see it again.
This is what's happened.
