Bioware say they planned the whole series ahead of the time. I buy that, it's called planning, and in the corporate world, that's a rare quality now days. Planning a series ahead of the time is a risk, but a, if I may use the word, honourable one. With quick cash being the law of the corporate land now days, planning and vision for the future on each of its product shows a level of grandeur. It's an expression of intelligence.
What this whole "bad ending" thing shows however, is an immediate retreat into the familiar coporate rules whenever **** hits the fan. Or fans in this case. I was just reading this opinion piece
http://www.nytimes.c...dman-sachs.html yesterday and man, what the guy describes fits just about every company out there today, bioware included.
I hate to bring this up with a political tone but seriously, it's not evil, but it's still sick to learn (or re-learn in my case, I'm in the finance sectore) how impersonal the world's getting.
