@nafzger.....It isn't just the writer--it's the whole team though. Everyone thought it was OK--or enough to put it into production. No one person is to blame.
...Yeah that's exactly what I said.

Wow, atghunter was absolutely correct:

A response that basically said nothing, but is intended to satisfy angry fans.
Reading the posts in the topic it seems people are not buying it which is good.

They really are doing this exactly by the book, and we just have to stay in the game until they run out of smoke and mirrors and other distractions intended to pacify us. Because nothing short of a true response will make this go away.
Yep. By the looks of the last statement...they give the hint of ''We will handle this problem THIS YEAR'' which basicly means '' We will take our time until things die down''
Which will only add more fuel to our anger. And I still can't believe they can sell MP or another meaningless pre-ending DLC ..... This just show they have no sense of busines...

This forum has been getting a lot of astroturfers..... accounts made less than a month ago just to defend endings.....
Almost everyone in support with a few notable exceptions are the Lovers....and only have a Mass Effect 3 Registered game icon.

Tell me about it. There's one guy going around telling people boycotting Operation: Goliath is an attack on players and threatening to pull his support for the movement and becoming a vocal opponent. Checked his creation date: 3-14-12

Reading this after seeing Casey's post on his "perspective" just makes me massively pissed off.atghunter wrote...
You will know that there’s a genuine need for dialogue in the corporate bunker when the message turns from “we’re listening” to “we acknowledge we may have a disconnect with our consumers and are willing to discuss a meaningful solution to the problem.” It signals an end to non-committed deflection and opening genuine talks to solve the problem (it’s knows as “Exposing Your Throat” btw). At present, you’ll notice Bioware/EA has only said they will “explain” the endings. That’s not a give, that’s a delay tactic.

Look at Dominos after the fiasco with the employee's intentionally messing up food/doing nasty crap too it.
They owned up to the issue and did some great marketing to regain and recover. Maybe one day everyone will finally learn honesty is the best policy.

This whole thing reminds me why I hate $$$ it turns things/people we love into monsters. Do the devs/EA Suits not understand if they owned up to the mistakes and promised to fix it how much more $$$ they would get?

They're hoping that if they wait it out, this will blow over, people will forget, and they might lose a handful of customers. Which they replace by picking up new ones during the next push before a new game is released. All that costs them 0 dollars. But if they own up to the mistake and say "yes, we screwed up and we'll fix it." Then they lose money to redo the endings and release it, which they may or may not get back, even if they charge for it.

Haha, I'm actually really against that. This is a massive failure. It can't solely rest on one individual. Sure, they may have come up with the bad ending, but the fact that no one took them aside and said "hey man, I don't know about that ending. Maybe we should work on it a bit more" is telling.
But then again you have to think of it from a developers perspective as well. They were probably on time constraints for an early March release. They just had the original ending leaked. Time was short, emotions and stress were high. If this is the best they could come up with, I shudder to think of what other ideas they had.
I'm not saying we need another Duke Nukem Forever fiasco, but sometimes the goose needs to stay in the oven a bit longer. It's amazing how good the game was up until the ending. I'm extremely puzzled by the whole thing to be honest. Besides a few personal gripes (rachni, crucible), I think ME3 is the best ME...up until the big final battle. I'm sure a lot of people feel that way.

And even then, I won't be buying anything until after the release and reviews from several (third party) sources. No more buying collectors editions (Which for the most part, I don't. Mass Effect 3 was a special case, considering my love for the franchise.)

It's funny, gaming press is pro bioware and more mainstream things are like "why you no like your fans"? Guess we know where the PR money is flowing....
Yeah, I thought mentioning Penny Arcade was a cheap throwaway. BioWare HIRED them to do Dragon Age stuff, why should we believe that they are going to view things objectively when they are or have been on your payroll? Same reason I treat all Game Informer articles with a grain of salt: they're owned by GameStop.
