If you sit down and try to think about it from any sort of scientific mind-set, the Synthesis option is just hogwash from first to last. Rewrite every organic sentient life-form to cyborgs? Transmute living tisdue to metal? Or vice-versa so the Geth become part organic? It's ludcrous and it's insulting. On top of that it's counter to the theme of respect and tolerance preached in the game. It's as if we proposed a solution to all racism in the world by firing a beam that turned everyone into the same shade of purple.
The most scathing interpretation I've seen is as follows:
Space Hitler (Catalyst) wants to genocide the Jews (Organics) and loves his Aryans (Synthetics).
Solution: Infuse everyone with Aryan DNA so that there will no longer be Space Jews!
Yeah, it's messed up.

On the one hand, they obviously need to wait and see how the entire situation develops. While there already is a great deal of demand for (happy) endings DLC, I'm not sure whether it is enough for Bioware to act on it. Taking it slowly gives them more time to assess the players' response, and the more people ask for it, the more reasonable (from a business perspective) it is for Bioware to deliver.
On the other hand, the longer they wait with "proper" and "committed" responses, the more likely it becomes that people give up on the ME universe and sell ME3 off to Gamestop and co, hurting Bioware's bottom line in the long run, not only from used-games sales, but also because those people obviously won't put any money towards purchases of DLC.

Not too mention its the dedicated fanbase that buys all of the peripherals (shirts, toys, books etc.) which certainly generates a steady source of revenue in addition to things like DLC and game sales.
And they are most certainly damaging that income stream.

Has anyone living near the Bioware HQ considered a non-violent protest yet?

I want a DLC where the ending is proper explained. I want to melee the starchild, if i loose so bee it, organics will die . I want to melee TIM .
But most :
I am dreaming to some sort of Modding Tools for ME 3
I am dreaming of a real support for mods . I want to stay in ME universe for a couple of more weeks, not just 40 hours .
And yes i expect a better refined ending, with more details regarding my decisions along the 80-100 hours vested in each Shepard that i have
In short i want more Mass Effect .
P.S: 1.I still dislike the fact that they had to put Javik in day one DLC , and on Origin site that thing wasn't proper shown. Also i don't like the fact that it wasn't free ...
2. Playing ME3 with origin offline, and coalesced moded , as a sign of protest.

They might wait until the first actual story relevant DLC pack is released. If it tanks, then yeah, they might try to fix this. Any other game they'd just left to rot, but they cannot allow to much harm coming to the franchise. I'm sure they have plans on further titles done the line, not to mention the movie, which, if the current trend continues, will lose a lot of base viewing audience.

But honestly, if money is all that is standing between a proper (and logical) ending, then all BioWare needs to do is this:
-Yeah, sorry, we messed up. But guys, fixing this is really expensive so here is what we propose:
We will create a Kickstarter project for this, and we hope that you can help chipping in. We will donate from our end a healthy sum, but the more support we get the better the endings.
At least we can meet on middle ground. I don't mind chipping in if it means saving the game. As long as they admit they messed up.

but always stood aside – not taking part in anything (good or bad) that was happening.
This time it’s different.
I feel that it’s important that we vent our concerns, frustration and disappointment – of course in civil way.
If we stand together EVERYTHING is possible!
To clarify, I’m a bioware fan till beginning, threw my money at them everytime I could and when I couldn’t, too.
But this…this is just wrong.
All those assertions about that choices matter, that the ending will be summary of our experience through
the trilogy… Yeah right.
I’m disappointed and feel betrayed. This were suppose to be an epic conclusion to the epic series.
Instead we got an excellent game, amazing trilogy with stupid end.
This isn’t a ‘bittersweet’ ending as Mr. Hudson stated. Bittersweet was DA:O’s ‘good’ ending.
I’ll just quote @Elvwood here, cause I feel the same way:

I do not think EA/Bioware realized how emotionally involved players got to the ME series
Otherwise how could they have produced a Great series up to and including Pre ending ME3
and let it become the most unsatisfying experience I and others have ever had.
You Have to wonder if anyone there actually played the game and was Like Wow what a great ending.

Simply telling other people that they should be happy with the journey (a great journey) and forgive a terrible destination doesn't work. Some of us have been waiting for the destination for 5 years, and when we got there, it was like the World's Biggest Ball of Twine. HUGE letdown...I'm talking massive here...I am a guy in his mid-20's, and I cried, not because the ending was moving or bittersweet or any of that, but because the Mass Effect series did not deserve to end that way.
We are customers and we paid for the game, and we have every right to pressue the people who made it into making it satisfactory, just as you have the right to pressure them to keep it the same. But telling people to "let it go"? Not on my watch.
Hold the Line
Amen to that.
...and to quote another poster:
It was a blatant Diabolus Ex Machina that broke from the established major themes to give a set of choices unrelated to and previous foreshadowing, are all unnecessarily destructive, almost literally destroyed the universe, provides no closure, introduces numerous plot-holes, and breaks from the relatively 'grounded' ME mythos in exchange for existential space-magic.

True true. But if BioWare just uses the Indoctrination theory, or something similar, BSN will be pissed again. It will be interesting if BioWare can totally re-write the ending or (if I was in charge), re-write the last mission to retake earth (keep the space battle, but handling the ground war should be like ME2's Suicide Mission, not ME3's arbitrary and doomed Hammer offensive).

Does anyone know how the end of game sequence is being received in Japan and such?
If no one has answered this yet - its the same - we got people translating their forums......second day there it was already being called Rent Effect.........don't bother buying it because of the ending.
Pacific fleet is gearing up. They already know about these forums and stuff on facebook - and they also know how to goto war.......Look with they did with NGE

I have a huge problem with this:
Blast. Unconscious.. dream ramblings and fantasies.. the end..
There is no closure at all there, because nothing after the blast happened.
I was literally waiting for Shepard to wake up in the rubble, and then I was slapped in
my face with a credit roll. Then I was going along the lines of numerous colorful choices of words
