Ok, so list of goals:

-Think of a better slogan
-Do not give into PR
-Cut the infighting
-Hurt the company, not the people
-Make organized attacks
-Gain the support of neutral parties

Interesting developments. Happy to play along! I am sick of companies putting deadlines and revenue above everything else

Do people actually take these bioware remarks seriously? Nothing is ever addressed, its just a voice that says a whole lot of nothing. If hearing a bioware employee makes you feel better after he never once addresses the ending Im guessing you do not have much life experience Of course you may just continue to vote for politicians based on their word.

I know this will probobly be seen as an attack on the bioware staff and might even get me banned. I personally dont see this as an attack and im hoping that the staff here will have the common sense to let it pass. (They are fair in the way they mod I have to say from what ive seen)

Hope is a hell of a drug.  People are grasping at whatever they can because of just how devastated they were by the ending.  This thread exists to let people know what's going on, that their hopes are not unfounded but that it takes more than just some placating words to fix the ending.  We're here holding the line until we get concrete, non-PR answers to our questions and a fix for the ending.

Hold the Line

I like this human!  S/he understands!  Pretty good slogan/summary of what we want, or at least what we dislike.

Bachuck - thank you for collating all of those posts. Please keep doing so, it's really useful for those of us who can only dip in and out of this discussion.

Hold the line.

If Atghunter is still around,

I'd love your thoughts on the upcoming PAX panel. Some people are putting a lot of hope into it, thinking they'll get cornered by fans, that real answers are coming or that they'll use it as an opportunity to announce ending DLC.

To me, that seems very unlikely to happen. Not only is a moderated panel a PR person's home battleground, we know that the organizers of PAX already have a cozy relationship with Bioware/EA.

I think the panel will be one long commercial for the success of ME3, Multiplayer and to hype some upcoming (pre-ending) DLC. Then all our hopes will be put into the Q&A where one person will ask about the endings, his mic will be shut off while he listens to a PR Spin response so he can't rebuttal, and then the next question will be from a plant who says how much he loves the game.

Penny for your thoughts? I'd love to hear them.

Thanks for everything so far!

Hold the Line.

I like that a lot! Could be a slogan of some kind. The things we all can agree on. 5 things to unite them all!
Ich would change their order slightly tough:

No Choice

No Closure

No Future

No Sense

No Money

- Everyone can have their own slogan in this format "-----------------: Hold the Line"
"Our choice should matter: Hold the Line" seems to be reverberating with people though.

- atghunter and others are really be very helpful at showing us the PR sides of things so as long as we listen we have that base covered.

- I believe infighting will occur regardless of how organised we are, but it should be kept to PMs. That way it can be resolved nicely there.

- Next 3 is practically a way strategy, nice :D

After a long time of thinking - I decided today to cancel my SWTOR subscription. It wasn't out of malignity but every time I looked at the shortcut on my desktop, I felt something twist in my stomach. So far I had been willing to wait for larger patches to fix my personal issues with the endgame content, but "endgame", heh, yeah I think that traumatized me a little.

I wish I could support Bioware in one way, I don't want them to go down but at the same time, I don't want to support what they have done, so I act within my possibilities.
I know it is not of importance to anyone here, but I just needed to get that out of my system.

For Tuchanka, for Thessia, for Palaven, for Earth!

I did the same. I tried to play SWTOR again and each time I logged in just something felt weird. The disappointment I have been feeling since I finished ME3 last weekend has not left. I decided to cancel and just wait. I hope they make this right wiith the fans...I really do. Hold The Line!!

First I want to thank OP for continuing to do this and to keep all of us informed. These are some of the posts keeping me in this fight. As a long time mass effect fan I can say that i was thoroughly disheartened by the way bioware saw fit to end the series. So many plot holes, so many questions, and so much contradiction to the previous games... it makes me wonder who at bioware thought that an ending like this would be a good idea.

Did anyone actually come away from the ending saying "Thats it bioware, you nailed it, that is how i wanted my shepards story to end" Its hard for me to imagine anyone actually thinking this after playing the game (except maybe the players who came in on ME3).

That being said I want to stress that i love the series as a whole and that i loved everything about the first 98% of the game. Just that ending... Ugh I know its been shared before but I'm going to share it again because it is my favorite analogy about this ending. I'm sorry to the orginal poster of this comment but i forgot to save your name with it.

Say you are eating an ice cream cone. It's some of the best ice cream you've ever had. You are enjoying yourself, eating said ice cream. You know, unfortunately that it will run out, but you find that it is so great that you don't care; you'll always remember that wonderful ice cream. Suddenly, you reach the core of the ice cream, you take one last bite... only to discover that the ice cream is surrounding a turd!

It was the best ice cream ever... but your mind will always remain on that last bite, because you just ate a turd. And because of this, it sours the previous experience you just had. That is the ending of this amazing trilogy...

There are a lot of neutral people --on the game merits. Many don't like the ending, but are less invested emotionally.  They also think well, it's done--nothing more to do but move on.

Regarding the Goliath Weekend and the "community" challenge with 1 mio Brute kills. Since there is no counter of any kind, after the weekend they can tell us anything they want...

What do you think would happen if the challenge was won/lost regarding the PR?

I myself find it hard to trust Bioware regarding the final score. They could change it to whatever suits their needs/PR better.

Yet the review says its a great game overal, until the ending. And then the end result is a 2.5 out of 5. Not really a worthwile review in such a case.

A few people liked it. But we fight for the majority. And it is a LARGE majority.

In the same boat, my guild has lost people due to lack of faith in BW and we havent raided since the release of ME3.  Also being on a dead server means we will struggle to replace people so I'm likely to quit myself now.
