Regarding the Goliath Weekend and the "community" challenge with 1 mio Brute kills. Since there is no counter of any kind, after the weekend they can tell us anything they want...
What do you think would happen if the challenge was won/lost regarding the PR?
I myself find it hard to trust Bioware regarding the final score. They could change it to whatever suits their needs/PR better.
I would really like to stop people from thinking that these types of events are held to sustain damage or to distract you all from the endings.
These so called conspiracies are just getting laughable at this point. As someone in the goliath thread itself stated.

I won't fall for this. No multiplayer nor singleplayer untill the ending is fixed.
I agree. Could not bring myself to play it anyway, as the endings would be in the back of my mind.
Cry directly in a jar I'll go drink it at the bar.
How
is a 3 day get the community together to play for 3 days supposed to
distract you from the endings? Do you guys have such bad ADD that you
think it would work? Or is it that the "knee jerk" reaction you are
having has not worn off and you are lashing out at everything they do?
Hold the line guys they shalt not distract is with.... OH MY GOD SHINY!
Syrellaris, I agree with you, insofar as that the event itself was already planned beforehand, even before release date. However, I disagree with you, in that it IS being utulized as a distraction at the moment. Were it the case that the game was received with universal praise, the event then would have been used, not as a distraction, but as a 'favor to the fans', or rather, to keep the momentum of the game going.
Similarly, EA and Bioware know that the base who plays Mass Effect, also plays SW:TOR. Maybe not all, and certainly not all SW:TOR players play ME, but there is a lot of shared ground. Handing out the free weekend passes doesn't seem like much, but it does take away some of the momentum of the movement. Those who are playing, aren't complaining. And that takes energy away from the movement, and once that inertia is gone, it is very hard to get it back, even if those people return, and that is exactly what EA is counting on.
DO note, that we have had an individual here in the thread, explaining that he was contacted by EA for this promotional campaign , contacted only a day or two ago. This in contrast, so he explains, to the usual time where he is contacted for such a thing, namely weeks to months ahead. So, yes, there is somthing going on there, which isn't surprising.
