This seems ironic to me that they basically gave us a handbook on how to diplomatically gather forces for a single cause with this game, and we're forced to use it against them due to their mistakes (if you share my opinion of course)

Just read the whole first post, and I heartily commend the OP for his compilation. I don't even have a problem with the ending per se, my problem, like many others, is that it's the ONLY ending. Why should I play through my other Shepards now? Nothing they do matters.

Not sure what difference it will eventually make, but Mass Effect 3 hasn't seen the inside of my XBox since I beat it, and it probably won't again until Shepard's decisions matters again. Take that as you will BioWare.

Can we get this youtube link to the media?

This might actually help quite a bit to swing some over.

Holding the line

We are the fleets.

They are the reapers.

That means this movement is going to end in 3 colors and the destruction of all civilization.

That's nothing. Im can understand if they want to use this pic for the ending. It is a beautiful pic and if its fits with what they were going for and want to add it to the game because it inspires them. By all means go for it.

But this...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rm82gjZDIDU is something else entirely..

Just a thought feel free to tear this apart but i'm a uni student and most uni's have a campus newletter/online mag/ student newspaper, yeah, so my proposal is we make small adverts or articles and send them to our respective papers. Enter the wider media by start low level in an area where we may be able to garner a fair amount of support.

So true! It is almost like they wanted us to rise up, to gather our assets, and to never, ever back down until the fight is finished.

"If Joker was traveling fast enough to outrun the wave transmitted through the Mass Relay, he must also have been traveling through a Mass Relay.

Meaning the point at which the Normandy emerged would be in a star system occupied by a Mass Relay. Since the wave was just behind the Normandy, the Mass Relay would have exploded almost immediately after the Normady arrived in the system. It could not have crash-landed on a planet because the resulting explosion would have wiped out both the Normandy and the entire star system. The scene depicting the crew emerging onto a planet is impossible."

This never occurred to me. If possible, I dislike the ending to ME3 slightly more than I did before reading this.

Bah.

Our choices should matter: Hold the Line.

Go for it man. That would be a good place to start, if you could get them to agree to it.

Wow, I think I would be shocked if this was not the new EA/Bioware we were talking about.

Great stuff here. I will say what really sucks about the ending is that before this, I never wanted to peak at the ending, I never glanced at the last page of a book for reassurance. I wanted to enjoy the journey, and was always rewarded with a good ending (not always happy of course, but you know... quality.)

Now I find myself taking a quick peak at the last page to make sure the character I'm getting attached to isn't going to be killed, the world that I'm throwing myself into ripped apart. Finally reading The Hunger Games trilogy, which I've been putting off... wish I hadn't glanced at the last pages, but on the other hand I can't really take another hit so soon.

It's depressing that's happened because of my favorite game. On the other hand, I'll just have to resolve to have faith that this is very much an isolated case.

The 'future' of the ME universe could very well be all PRE final fight.  That is what I think they have planned anyways.

See, here I must respectfuly disagree. I have seen all the evidence of the fact Tali's face is infact a stock photo with alterations, yet, does this really take any emphasis out of her beauty? No. I can't see it that way. It's not something that could have been rushed. A deliberate effort had to be made at some point to decide how a quarian should look, what skin tone, her eyes. If infact it was one lone artist with a large pot of coffee and an all nighter that lead to the image of her face, I salute them for having an incredible imagination. But I'm straying from the point I'm trying to make.

It's beautiful, touching, and resolves the mystery in the case that she does die at that point in the story. But if she's still alive, then with that romance, the mystery should remail alive aswell, in my humble opinion.

I confess that little things like this, understatements if you will, they move me alot more that big sweeping gestures.

Edit: I just saw the video. That is damned creepy. I really want to believe its a coincidence, but its a damned creepy one!

Check out this youtube video uploaded on June 6th, 2011 and tell me something isn't really, really, fishy about the source of inspiration for Bioware.

Sweet jumping jeebus...it uses the same pic as I posted. Changes colors between Red, Blue and Green. Is called starchild...and the lyrics explain the friggin ending. Wtf.

ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!!1!1!!
The song wasn't even that good.:crying:
M. Shields died for this?

I...I like the song...
Or, at least, I did. Last year. Before it was tainted with memories of Mass Effect 3.

Just watched Joe's video, and while it could have been more concise, he made all the right points, outlined massive holes, and I love the sequence showing all three Red, Blue, Green ending cinematics.

Dirty pool, old man. Dirty pool.

My favorite part had to be when he played the clip of the Geth talking to Admiral Shala'Raan several times.

Waning numbers here in the forums don't mean that the RetakeME3 movement is failing. Once players have said everything they want to say about the endings, it's inevitable that the frequency of posts will decline and our collective interest in the topic will wane and wander.

The important thing is that everybody *remembers* how dissatisefed they were with ME3's ending in a few weeks or months time when BioWare start trying to sell us DLCs, MP content and other sundry merchandise we don't want. So go ahead and do something else with your time, but remember to Hold the Line once more before you open your wallet for EA.

Just submitted this to CBC.

"Bioware (canadian video game developer) recently released a game call Mass Effect 3. If you've heard of Mass Effect 3 game recently it's probably because of the contreversy surrounding the ending. I won't go into details but the way the game ended was completely opposite to the way it was advertised in the media. The best you could say is that if it wasn't technically lying it was intentionally misleading. Fans of the series have started a movement called Retake Mass Effect, calling for endings that fall in line with what was promised. Our movement has over 35,000 members on facebook, our repeated pleas have made @MassEffect one of the most active twitter accounts ever, we've organized a letter writing campaign, and in order to make sure SOME good comes out of it all we have organized a charity drive that has at this moment raised over $64,500 (USD) for sick children. I could give you more information if you'll contact me over email."

If you can, try submitting a similar article to whatever local/nationwide news station(s) you can even if you don't think they'll bite. It only takes a minute but the more people who submit these kinds of stories the bigger chance one of these outlets will run with them. Even if they won't listen to one person, if they recieve many similar submissions their curiosity could very well kick in.

Hold the line, but don't stay passive people. Do what you can to make people aware, the more attention we can get the better. Do it for the ending we ALL know Shepard deserves.
