That won't stop people if they get out of hand. Look, if you guys thank you can do it peacefully, and it actually happens, i'm all for it. But nine times out of ten, that never happens when the wound is so fresh.

I really don't like the way you're thinking of BioWare customers. You're assuming we're a bunch of rowdy teenagers.

And?

I used to try and organize protests when I was in college, and you guys are barely scratching the surface on what to do anyway. Ive seen protests live or die because of one or two minor instances that make the entire movement look bad. Its why OWS failed, they had no true leadership and no true direction, they just protested everyone and everything and allowed groups like the Green Party, IRA, Communist Party, Anonymous, Anarchy Groups and others involved in their movement.

Based on what ive seen so far, from the thousands of comments here to the venom being handed out to the developers, its not looking good.

If you want to succeed, then consider it a friendly warning, because the minute more crazy things happen, like the FTC complaint, the guys threatening a lawsuit over the games ending, the charity, the soapbox preachers on youtube, etc etc...well, you get the idea.

We have a good structure, and I think you underestimate us. We have always urged our movement to remain civil and polite, we have organized letter campaigns and called attention from the media. We have over 60K donated to Child's Play and counting. I think we have done a great job so far.

We stay focused on the ending, and we all share similar mission goals for changes. We are also prepared for the worst if Bioware intends to drag this out.

You seem to be identifying the OMG ENDING SUX BIOWARE EVULLLLL crowd as us. We are not. We approach them with civility and reasonable intentions. We do NOT endorse that ridiculous FTC complaint. We welcome all REASONABLE discussions on why the ending isn't good.

You underestimate us.

Ok.

Who is your president, treasurer, spokesperson, PR person, and chief organizers?

We are listening to your feedback!

Take my advice on this one people, as a Security agent myself this is exactly what will happen. In major events like pax, we don't **** around. If we have but one simple cause to remove you from the premices, we will.

Don't take your chances with pax, its not worth it.

I don't think you guys have ever actually been to PAX or PAX East. The atmosphere itself is completely different from most other major events, and it's overwhelmingly positive. It's incredibly difficult to be negative at PAX East. I'm certain we'll bring this positive attitude to our group of disenfranchised consumers as well. I doubt our "numbers" will be too large, either.

No am I am just handing out a normal warning, it is as that one poster says. You just need 1 bad apple in the bunch to rile everyone up and that would result in plenty of people being removed if not the entire group.

I am not saying people wont act civilly, I am just giving a heads up, that security simply does not play around at any major events. So no need to be defensive, just a friendly warning here for good will :)

Thanks. Once again, if possible we will make sure any unruly fans are not associated with us. We don't want a fight.

The best thing to do if something like that happens is to remove yourself from the group. Go walk around, enjoy some other stuff at the event. come back an hour later to check if it quieted down.

Why the hell it's a bad idea to go to Pax wearing RGB and Marauder Shields t-shirts?
Do you think there will be NO "supporters" around to show THEY EXIST? Do you think is impossible that some douchebags go there, make a fuzz and are thrown out just for display, trying to defame us?

The whole think here is to be be civil and persistent. What's the problem of being such in there, just to show we exist? If you want to go, then GO. Better have some REAL people there, than leave the place to the jackals.

If BW asks for questions in the audience and picks you, ask uncomfortable ones like why the endings had so many plot holes or why the choices didnt impact the endings almost at all. If they answer the questions, yay we have answers. If they dont, people will speculate and assume the worst. It will also spread the word of our movement by making people think about the endings if they just finished the game and were satisfied.

Calm down and be civil. We don't have a formal leadership for this very reason: this is a community of people standing together to voice disappointment and request a change. Nothing more, nothing less. =3

You are joking, right?

You are telling me to be civil when i'm asking a simple question....

As to your answer, that is why this movement will fail. So when you actually have structure and leadership, come back to me, I will then set up an interview for you all.

Trust me, when I say you do need all of this. Otherwise all the efforts will be for naught. As for your spokesperson, tell them to contact me at their earliest convienence, IF what you say is true.

Also whoever is in charge of the facebook page is starting to issue goals. He may come forth to lead and organize us, and I will ask him to do so.

And I will send Bachuk a message AND atg if atg wants to change his mind.

I'm not an expert at any of this, but here are my two cents. If atghunter or others see things differently, then just ignore this.

The Hold the Line movement has only made it this far through peace and civility. There's no need to ruin the hard work of many by trying to escalate things too far. Right now the movment needs to get its message out, to as many people as possible, so when the dev sit down at PAX, it won't be the movement asking the questions of the developers, but rather the very reporters they're trying to court.

A big convention like PAX is a great place for Bioware/EA to stand up and put forward their agenda, promote their products, etc. A bunch of fans in T-shirts in the crowd won't change that much. However, if the media all assemled there would rather spend their time asking Bioware about RetakeME3, rather than their next nebulous plans for games, well then you're hurting EA's PR machine.

Pretty much this. I really don't see people getting crazy/violent over the game, I would simply LOVE to be there and ask Walters/Hudon question about their philosophy and how they saw a singularity being the end of Mass Effect when it didn't seem to fit into any of the narrative.

I really just want to sit down with some coffee/hot chocolate with the guy and talk to him about it.

I'd love to be the guy that does it... but, I don't see it happening. :)

I think you're mistaking us for a traditional movement in so very many ways. We have leaders or organizers who have emerged from these boards, but these were people who rose to fill the holes that were needed.

This is not a traditional movement by any stretch of the imagination.

Vigina. ATGHunter is the one educating us on Bioware's possible PR tactics. Buchack is compiling them at the front of THIS THREAD. Come on man. I'm responding to this guy, he is asking genuine questions.

Okay, I really appreciate your feedback. I'm the person who's created the PAX East group and am trying to organize it. However I do not appreciate the attitude and shouting at us you're doing. I understand skepticism, but it seems to me like you haven't read any of the other threads on these boards.

Like I said, friendly warning if you want this to succeed.

Organize yourselves, pick leaders, make sure they can lead, and don't cause issues.

Otherwise, the entire movement will fail pending a mass protests against DLC or something else. I have to stay neutral because I am technically press. I will also admit I am against this movement, but it doesn't mean I won't report on it fairly.
