Currently spreading the thread through the extranet.

This platform has encountered some resistance with other units refusing to accept widely accepted concensus.

Rewrite heretics or destroy?

Destroy. The heretics may have back-up programs that will cause them to revert to their heretical nature. To ensure the security and cohesion of our unit, we must prevent them from infiltrating our ranks, particularly under a banner of false peace.

Acknowledged.

First, I want to thank atghunter for taking the time out of his day to sit down, write, and explain all this corporate espionage to us regular gamers.

They say knowledge is power, and if we have the knowledge on how Bioware/EA is trying to manipulate us into reacting, we can logically counteract it instead of blindly reacting.

Reading this thread, and seeing how we are affecting the corporate engine is really giving me hope for eventual change.

Just as before, I will Hold The Line.

The simple fact is, if ME3 does not receive a new ending, the whole series will be tarnished forever in the eyes of most. Not only that, but fans won't be buying future DLC if they're always brought to the same nonsensical conclusion. From both a PR and a financial standpoint, fixing the ending is a good idea. We're not entitled because we expected a proper ending. When I pay $80 for a collector's edition, I expect nothing but excellence, which Bioware delivered up until the final fifteen minutes.

It's funny as I write this I'm watching the NCAA tournaments with the ME3 commercials being played heavily in between breaks.  It's got that one line "Faced with being nothing we fight for everything".  Those endings they gave us were less than nothing.  So far their responses have as much value.   I will continue to Hold The Line.

I'd rather you stop avoiding reality, for your own sake.  Playing ostrich will get you nowhere.

I wasn't aware that not being rude and insulting was "avoiding reality" and "playing ostrich." I've read Casey's quotes. Attacking gets us nowhere.

When was the last time you saw a thread get locked that wasn't because it was a copy of a current thread? It's been days since I've seen anything be locked for any other reason. You think the mods are treating the forums like they're walking on glass, as if locking any thread will just encite another riot?

I've seen several locked becuase "They aren't ME3 campaign related". This one they may not touch because of backlash, but at the end of the day it is THEIR foum and if they want to lock it...

At the start of this entire fiasco, they were trying to consolidate ending rage threads. They soon gave up when they realized every aspect of the game was attached to plot, so every thread about the game eventually became an ending thread.

I don't know how long this will last. They most likely see it as futile right now, rather than walking on glass. It needs to stay this way.

When I read Atghunter's posts, my mind imagines Admiral Hackett doing the voiceover. That is a good thing.

Hold the line.

I see exactly where you're coming from, but I don't think it will do much damage on the protest. Once the weekend "event" is over, people will just be reminded that there's nothing else to do on the game -- since SP is pretty much dead and you can only level up to a certain extent on MP. If anything, the biggest antagonist is simply time. The longer we get no response, the less emotion and will to fight; however, I hope Bioware knows that the longer the wait, the more concrete the feeling of betrayal is. In a month, many will have given up on ME and Bioware.

In a month I will have given up on Bioware definitively. I don't know how a game company fell so far... They went from KOTOR, Jade Empire, Mass Effect 1&2, and Dragon Age: Origins and then Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 (Which admittedly was an amazing game, but is completely ruined by the ending.)

My rose colored glasses are taking a beating.

I'm proud that so many of my fellow fans have been very controlled with their statements. The facebook group has started a letter-writing campaign that I hope many will take part in. If we make enough (polite and respectful) noise, I know something will happen.

Hold the Line

It is what it is.  He promised things.  He delivered the opposite.  There's a word for that.  Where's the disconnect for you?
