You guys forget though, EA's PR is not typical PR.

They are alien to us, as much as they are evil.

And then suddenly this atghunter person dissapears.

I am against the junky endings bioware has given us, and will not sway on this matter no matter how much "Free" stuff gets waved in my face, however giving me something to do is...well, its a thing to do. And I for one enjoy the challenge of reapers on silver.

There has been to much compromise, Hold the line!

You guys should copy this topic in case of ''something'' happen to it and they take away our 'tactician '' because lets face it, I started to see 'atghunters' as the movement's tactician at this point...keeping the calm and analysing the situation and statements from his previous experience.

Be passionate, be civil and hold the line....in the end, we will see this through !

Good idea. I'm going to copy the OP to a word doc. If this thread gets locked, guess who is going to copy and paste it to a new one?

;)

atghunter, great work on explaining the PR tactics that are now in full effect to minimize damage.

You really hit everyone on the head on how they are going to progress. They really have no intention of adding any endings or changing anything. All this is just a ruse to distract us (like atghunter stated) by offering free weekends and multiplayer junk. Casey Hudson's letter is laughable at best, its clearly a PR move and it was posted on a friday night, before St. Patty's day, so I guess political news dump days are also EA/Bioware dump days also to stem the fury of the "passionate gamers". We are not some or a minority of the fans, any fan should be shocked and truly disgusted at the lackluster ending. You can call it art, uplifting or any other buzz words they throw at us. Let's call it haphazard, lazy and photo-shopped.

Hold the line.

When I read Atghunter's posts, my mind imagines Admiral Hackett doing the voiceover. That is a good thing.

Hold the line.

I swear, if I ever find out that he does not look like Admiral Hackett, or at least Lance Henriksen, in real life, I will be sad. Even upset. Honestly, there could be tears. :P

NubXL & RocketmanSR2,

The best thing that can happen to EA/Bioware right now is if we start fighting among each other. Under no circumstances can that happen or the movement is doomed.

NubXL - Bioware lied to us. This we know and have acknowledged, but we need to move on in a positive manner. Doesn't mean we should forget, but what's done is done. Let's move forward and focus our energies on how to best communicate our game desires into getting concrete results from the company.

Too true. NubXL, truce? We are both wanting the same thing, methinks.

Great post. What atghunter said just reinforces what I had suspected already.

How are we supposed to take any of what Mr. Hudson said in good faith when he just sold us a bunch of lies in a $79 package? I think they need to do alittle more then just verbally address us if they really are serious about making things right...like maybe keeps us informed on the plans for a "true" ending not details of the ending but progress and maybe some some behind the scenes footage...I'm not wanting to get burned a second time by fluffy words and pretty smiles...give us something tangible to believe again and then we can talk!

What gets to me is how some can claim that it's the complaints of a minority. The somewhat official poll is at 53.000 right now and climbing.

At which point does the "It's just a minority"-claim get invalidated? After everyone who bought the game voted?

I need clarification-- are those 53,000 unique votes? People might be voting multiple times or duping. Is it possible to register only once? I am unclear.

The sad part is that if they offer a $10 expansion for the "TRUE" ending none of us will be able to resist buying it.

You can only vote once per code, and the forum code stops double votes, so yes. Yes it is.

This atghunter guy is on the dot right. You and TotalBiscuit are my heroes.

edit: I am half expecting a lot of people to download the hypothetical ending DLC in another manner, if you get my drift. Not that I am saying I would, but it is expected.

From what I believe... You need to have a unique copy of the game registered on this site even be able to post in the forums. So.. yes, I believe those are 53,000 unique votes.

I believe you can vote multiple times. But okay, let's just say that, say, 20.000 of those votes could be invalidated. The people in favor of a "happy ending" is still staggeringly high.

But honestly, I can't remember.

Apparently the game sold 1.85 million in the first week. The 50,000 is a self-selected group and so is not a randomized sample, but I have to say... it is a figure the really can't ignore.

To you Bachunk and you atghunter, I solute you. You are exemplary members of the cause and we are bettered by your aid to our efforts.

The threads grow faster then I can keep up with so I shall say only this; To all of our comrades! To those who stand together even across oceans and seas, that think as one even with mountains and forests between us, Hold the line! They can not ignore us if we stand strong and do not back down! Hold the line!
