BioWare, I'll send you my N7 patch shortly.

This.... this actually could be a good idea. There's a lot of strength in symbolism and there's a quiet elegance to sending back the N7 Patches for those of us who ordered the physical version of the CE. It isn't hate mail, it isn't burning things in effigy, it isn't anything extreme or distateful.

It's something to consider, in greater numbers, I mean. Thoughts? Effective? Not? Over-the-top? A good address that doesn't come across as targetting any one invididual (avoiding any hint of harrasment is important)?

Anyone else heard of change.org? It's an online petition creation and support page.

Perhaps this is another way we could support the retake movement?

Which incident? A guy filing a simple complain, and a bunch of alarmists announcing the doom and end of times?

BIG DEAL. The complain will only result on Bioware watching their mouths before deceiving us. I never saw why it would bring doom over us. The opposite even, it would HELP US.

Online petitions never work. Stick to holding the line here by charity, voting, and being heard.

The FTC thing, although a bad move, is something that's happened nevertheless.
We can't change that.

And while some media have used this to try to paint us a bad rep the truth of the matter is this.
For every comment that's against us, there are three that defend us. The majority aren't satisfied with the ending and most of them, if not all, agree with what we're trying to do.

One of the large strenghts we have in this is something Mass Effect, heck Bioware, has teached us. If we stand together against a common cause, we can be one strong wall regardless of how different we are.

So don't worry, we're not planning on giving this up anytime soon.
I sure ain't.

Do you want the FTC incident happening a dozen times over? I don't.

Far from it. But bickering over spilled milk isn't going to change anything.

I am trying to warn and dissuade people from doing this again all over again. We learn best from the past.

I understand and I agree we should encourage people not to go to such drastic meassures, But that can be done without hanging another member out.
We can inform people that doing so will only cause negative rep and that means we'll loose support.

That said while it was a set back it hasn't crippled us, but I agree we should discourage such meassures.

And I am explaining why it is a bad measure for the movement. While I admit I should have been nicer in my regard to him, it doesn't change the fact he set us back, and he is encouraging others to do the same. This can be the very thing to kill the movement, and I will NOT let that happen. Period.

I'm 99% certain somebody has done this already. I've been reading the entire thread, definitely remember hearing someone putting their N7 patch with their letter.

It is a big deal. If we follow in his lead Bioware will use this as their argument to disregard us. We will lose.

He is encouraging people to do the same. That should not be happening after all the damage it caused.

  This^^.

Bioware wants us to calmly speculate and wait while they listen us to death.  Doing nothing gets you nothing. While the child charity drive got us called self-entitled whiny gamers it was a better thing to do then nothing, and yes biware hates us for it.
While everyone is welcome to their own opinion I have to wonder a bit about how many Bioware employees they have inflitrating in. haha yeah paranoid i know, but why all the hate for those fighting on the same side while going all warm and fuzzy when a biowae PR guy/girl drops a 2 mins message every 3-4 days for damage controll just to say they are still "listen" (collecting data as well to be sure but otherwise doing nothing other then PR games)
EA employees have been caught giving DA2 10/10 and demissing any negative commits before.

I didn't like the move either and was one of those that tried to discourage him from doing it when he suggested it.
In anycase, I agree.

"Holding the Line"

Recently someone filed a complaint to the FTC and linked his effort to us.

Moments later gamer sites sympathetic to Bioware are degrading public opinion of us using this incident as an argument.

And the guy is telling others to file complaints even after the consequences. I am warning people not to listen.

So ya, there you go.

Did anyone actually see the theory of mine I posted a few pages back? Or does nobody really care? It's fine if you don't as it's a bit out there to some people but if it is a case of people missed it I'd like it of anyone can see this as a possibility like I can.

Sorry, I missed that one.
I think it's an interesting theory, however I find it highly unlikely that BioWare would risk losing money and fans (in the long run) by trying to raise public awareness. I can't really see a gaming company like BioWare/EA risking huge amounts of money for such a reason.
This is also the reason why I don't really believe in the whole "indoctrination-ending"-theory which is flooding the internet right now. If that theory is correct, it would mean that BW/EA were planning for all this rage and frustration to happen and that they would later reveal that Shep was indeed indoctrinated, and then give us "the real ending" and all would be well and good. I can't believe that because I can't imagine a corporation like EA -whose sole purpose on this planet is to make money- run the risk of losing customers by the thousands just for the sake of trolling us for a moment.
If that theory turns out to be correct however, it would mean that BioWare have pulled the plot-twist of the century and indoctrinated us all to despising them. All we can do is act on what we know right now, the fact that the ending of ME leaves everything to be desired. All we can do is to show BW/EA that we are not happy with the way they've treated us.

I've been trying to start this all morning. Some poster mentioned earlier that Jericho(a tv series)fans sent bags of peanuts to the network that was going to cancell it. It work, it got media attention, it was usual and the producers from Jericho said it gave them another season.
We would just have to pick an object people could mail inexpensively and would have meaning.

Help anyone?

Honestly, you're sounding a bit alarmist.  What the individual does shouldn't reflect on the group and I doubt many here seriously believe they could ruin it all for us.  I think the only way individuals have power against the group is when the group starts panicking over something like that.  If you let it affect you, it will.  So in the end just rise above it and ignore it.

This isn't about us. This is about the public. They will see this incident as the group, and if this keeps happening the neutrals in this fight will come to belive we really are whiny fanboys. They won't research it, they will just see it and make assumptions. That's what the public does.

If I might make a suggestion regarding all the pyramids here...if all you're doing is responding to the last item someone posted, can you please delete the extra stuff? It's getting difficult to scroll through the pages, and becoming tedious to actually see what everyone is saying. It only takes a few seconds to delete the unneeded previous postings.

Our choices should matter. Hold the line.
