any1 able to post a link for me to where i can donate to child's play... i've been holding off on donating mostly because of an article i read a while back talking about why it's not necessarily the best that whenever there is any kind of fund raiser involving video games that every1 makes it go to child's play when there are other worthy causes to donate to... (not saying that child's play isnt a worthy cause but does it have to be child's play if it's video game related? would it not be as positive if we were donating for cancer research or the homeless or some other cause) http://kotaku.com/child.s-play/
funny thing is it's a me3 thing that started that article too, but hey since child's play is our cause and it is one of our more positive images of us i feel i should go ahead anyway.

That would work, but I think the patch idea may just be a little more economical for everyone. I imagine the cover would be difficult to sent in a regular envelope. Well, I suppose you could bend it...Kinoru wrote...

Hold the Line.
Personally, I'd just say stick with the patches. It's not overstated or crazy, it has high symbolic value, and it's a nice, succinct message to BioWare and EA.

Then we make sure we don't give them a reason to swing back. Not causing any more FTC incidents Bioware will have no problem demonizing is a start.longtimecoming00 wrote...

I wouldn't see it as a tide. I would see it as (Forgive me) a line.
They saw the charity. Line moved forward.
This disaster happened. Line moved backward.
This happens too often: Line will break.
Seeing as you are the ones who form the line, it will break only if you lack the resolve to sustain and endure.
And as I stated previously, those who don't know are susceptible to change, and can always swing back. Whether they will remain is the question.

Honestly, you're sounding a bit alarmist. What the individual does shouldn't reflect on the group and I doubt many here seriously believe they could ruin it all for us. I think the only way individuals have power against the group is when the group starts panicking over something like that. If you let it affect you, it will. So in the end just rise above it and ignore it.
But they're doing that anyway. What I'm saying is I see no real direct change in people's interpretations because of the FTC complaint. What media/news sites are you talking about that where coming around before the FTC complaint and then started calling us whiny fanboys again?

But what I mentioned about they could have used the ending as a distraction. Whoever it is that puts these things into play would have paid of EA to do it.
Anyway, like I said, just a theory, I have many. It's just one thing I don't think anyone had mentioned yet so I thought I'd see what people thought and more importantly I want someone from EA to read it as its what I do with a lot of my time prior to this movement.
Thanks for your insight though bro.
Hey no problem. Your theory is definitely interesting, albeit hard to believe.

I realize they will always slander us. But when they slandered the charity movement, most of the people broke through the propaganda and realized we donate alot of money to children.
But when they slandered the FTC incident, the people thought that we were just whiny fanboys. They would have to have a deep understanding for what happened for them to ever have a positive or even neutral opinion of it. Most of them won't, I can guarantee it.
We have to make Bioware WORK to make us look bad. If we just do stupid and easily twisted things like the FTC incident, they will fool the public. We need the public.
I completely understand why you'd be upset about the FTC thing, but man, you need to let it go for now. By constantly bringing it up like you are, it's going to start to derail the thread. What I would suggest, since it clearly means a lot to you, would be seeing if you can get Bachuck make a mention of it in the OP. That way new people coming to the thread will get the right idea, as well as people just looking for quick updates, and we can continue on being more constructive.
Also, I think the N7 Patch idea is great.
This. Carnage needs to let it go. My point that I was trying to make is that the only thing he was doing was empowering by bringing it up like he did.
Also I like the idea of mailing back the N7 patch. Probably the only use for it that I can think of. When I got it I thought to msyelf "what do I have that I could stick that to and not feel silly".

@Agamemnon2589: Are you goingt to contact the fb-guy? I have to got to sleep now, past midnight over here, and I wasn't the one who did come up with the idea in the first place, I just think it is a very, very good item to enclose with any letters of protest sent to BioWare.

1 serious question, what if bioware comes up with a big DLC expansion next month or perhaps a small post saying that the Indoctrination is what really happened and that thus the story aint finished yet. (Regardless, the indoctrination theory seems to be real, there is simply to much evidence and facts stating that it is true)
How will you all feel?
I still wouldn't be pleased by the fact that I spent 70 bucks on an incomplete game. DLC should be used to enhance an experiance not give you the ending to your game. If the theory is true and this was all planned from the start, then I don't like the presidence that is being set. Bioware/EA has placed themselves in a lose-lose situation.
Either: 1) They released a game they knew wasn't ready and hoped we wouldn't notice or care until they were done with the DLC
Or: 2) They are trying to squeeze the last egg from this golden goose so hard that even Capcom would flinch with a DLc ending plan
Or: 3)They really did think they had made one great finale to the series that everyone would enjoy and are now thinking about scrambling
Incompetent, greedy or out of touch, choose your color.

Well it's actually a theory a out a lot of things I thought fits in this case. Especially since so many people are involved wit this movent.
I must say though I'm so happy I wasn't the only one that felt raped after if finishing the game. I felt so relieved that the world agreed with me.
