Coincidently, he was just included in an article talking about Bioware, and Mass Effect 3, a few days ago. http://news.sympatic...effect/7b9759bb
I've given him the heads-up on Retake Mass Effect 3 / Hold the Line, and hopefully he will respond.

I reposted atghunter's "faux olive branch" discussion on the Operation:Goliath thread in News and Announcements last Friday night when the thing got started. It got taken down pretty rapidly. I suggest we keep reposting it to their Official announcements threads whenever they dangle a shiny in front of us.
I'm trying to get a sense of how many sales Bioware is losing (because obviously they won't tell us). I've created a poll for it, but it keeps getting lost in the rapidity of the forum. If you have gotten your friends to either buy or not buy ME3, please take my poll. I tried to make it unbiased so the people who liked the ending could feel able to respond. Originally I didn't post it to Retake threads, because that would bias my sample, but now I just want data.

Yes by all means keep doing that, its not like that generates hate for the movement. When you signed up with these forums you agreed to the forum rules, and as the forum mods have explained countless times, keep the topics in the threads that are created for it.
Reposting this and everything else regarding this topic into threads that have nothing to do with it, will just get you banned or worse all topics regarding it locked. Including this one. So in short, you are not helping.
On the contrary, it was relevant, since Operation:Goliath was a faux olive branch. But I will use my own words next time instead of quoting someone who may not agree with my usage of their posts. No need for sarcasm.

Are you referring to the OP? The entire thread in general? It may be a waste of time to you, but to a lot of people - namely, everyone on this thread - it is. If you have nothing constructive or dazzlingly brilliant to say, please don't troll us. We do actually have a purpose in this thread, believe it or not.lightsnow13 wrote...

For the record, these statements that BioWare 'completely' turned over the writing team for ME3 simply aren't true. Patrick Weekes and Mac Walters have been with the series from the start and Weekes' wonderful wife (yes, I did that for alliteration's sake first and foremost) has been a passionate contributor for a long time as well.
While that may be true, repurposing Drew Karpyshyn was critical IMO.

I just wrote Peter Nowak, who is an award winning journalist here in Canada. He covers anything science and tech. I met him on a bus a few years ago when we were going to a Net Neutrality protest rally on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. A really good guy.

I know this is a bit late, but I read the comment from Mr. Woo. Am I the only one who felt that Mr. Woo was being a tad bit condescending? I mean, I don't think Bioware really want that after this whole fiasco.

Negativity about ME3 ending reminds me of outcry over BSG finale. For the record: I loved both. Bioware has made an interactive masterpiece.

Wight7:07 PM on March 19, 2012Give me a break, Mr. Sapieha.
Any fan of literature is aware of the plot device called the Deus Ex Machina, that magical character that comes out of nowhere to tie up all the loose ends and provide all the answers. The star child, who is nowhere to be found in either of the previous two installments - who isn't even hinted at - is one of these plot devices. This is LAZY WRITING. I would be embarrassed to have to resort to the use of one in any novel I put down on paper.
And his motivations are sophomoric. In order to save biological life from dying at the hands of their own synthetic creations, he creates a race of synthetics that wipes out all life in the galaxy anyway? To save them from dying he has to kill them? Insane parents use this logic just before they slit their kid's throats to "save them" from the demons inside of them.
I wasn't just disappointed in the game, I was openly embarrassed for the writers. I live in Bioware's home turf in Edmonton and know many of the writers. I know that they completely turned over the writing team for ME3, and most of the new writers hadn't even played the first two games. It shows.
But the big question is then...why didn't the old writers go over with the new writers all the continuity and choices that could impact the ending over all three games?
The answer: Because they just didn't care or they were rushed by EA or this was all planned out to be bull**** from the start and our choices never mattered in the first place.
Once again, I support this movement voraciously but I will never buy another BioWare/EA game again.
Remember Marauder Shields and Hold the Line!
