Proud of everyone here, the thousands of people staying here, holding the line, putting their free time at risk, could not be more proud. We deserve an Epilogue DLC.

Hey.... Just checking in to say keep up the good work.
Won't be I. Much tonight as I wanna play KOA as I still haven't yet. Thinking about naming my character 'HOLD THE LINE' though. Also gonna change my gamertag if this persists.
HOLD THE LINE - our choices matter
is KOA an EA game ?
if yes, it would have more impact if you actually didn't play any EA/Bioware game. It would be a problem for them if less and less player are using their games.
Its published by EA yes. It's written by R.A Salvatore, Todd McFarlane and Ken Rolston though, it's got nothing to with bioware. I know EA are the monsters here but I'm suffering enough boycotting multiplayer and I spent 40 quid on the game and wanna play it. I'm with you guys but I can't boycot everything I enjoy.
Play it offline. I believe it connects to EA servers. If you've already bought it, just don't let them know you're playing it.

As of right now, I can say they are not working on an ending, nor will they ever do so until EA caves and tells Bioware to fix this.
Excuse me, but could you loan me your crystal ball when you're finished? I see no indication that this is necessarily true. Again, all the pessimism seems unwarranted so far.

Yes, and a good one. I planned to buy the DLC released today. I'm actually sorry for 38 Studios that they won't get as much money as they would deserve until we get a proper ending for ME3. But hey, we all know who they have to thank for that.

Just some thoughts regarding posts I've seen recently and purely my own opinion, of course:
I don't like the idea of thinking of Bioware as 'the enemy' here: We're two parties in disagreement, hoping to enter into negotiations. To peg them as an enemy or adversarial in a militant manner is to alienate them. And I truly believe the people who poured years into this game care about the game and the fans. If we single them out as 'enemies' -- if we ask for anyone to be fired, if we do anything like that, then we're setting a moral precedent that I, for one, disagree with and am uncomfortable with. I'd like to stay above that. Maybe that's naive of me, but there it is. I want to take the 'Paragon' road here, if that means anything.
Paying for Ending DLC: Yes, of course I'll pay for it. I know some would like free DLC/expansion/etc - and it would be nice if that was the case. But this is still a company we're dealing with. Furthermore, I'm thinking beyond 'The Man' here: Bioware has employees. Individuals with needs, with families, etc. Considering how rough the economy is everywhere, I'd very much like people to keep their jobs and continue to be paid for it. So a reasonably priced DLC? Yes, I don't think that would be the end of the world.
I like your initial sentiment and truly didn't mean for that phrase to be such a big deal. However, if we, as a community feel this way, we need to lose all the combat lingo. Otherwise it confuses the situation.
Oh, I understand that you didn't mean it in a rabid sort of way
It was a general statement and not meant to single you out. I'm cool with you and hope you're cool with me! *fistbump?*

I dont think this is of the same magnitude as Mass Effect, but its the same concept, the company will do nothing and expect that we will eventually stop complaining about it and the situation will die down for them.
I for one, will not buy any single player DLC unless it involves an alternate ending....

I'll give you a boost:
EA/Bioware's PR LOVES the statement you just made. They want your resolve to flag and for you to become so disillusioned that you stop posting here and making a fuss about the endings so they can go on their merry way. Don't let them handle you like that.
Our Choices Should Matter - Hold the Line
Yeah that is why they are stalling. they are stalling because they know sooner or latter they will have to give into all the negative press and us not buying the game. This was supposed to be their biggest game of the year. it was supposed to still be sixty bucks months from now,it was supposed to sell tons of DLC,we are stopping these things from happening but it will take time for the impact to hit the bosses who will decide they have no choice but to make new ending DLC if they want to continue to make money. We have worked so hard please don't take defeat from the jaws of victory. If you feel like leaving or something we will not stop you but i would ask that you just leave and not state that you have given up in a post, that just weakens us who are still holding. Please don't give up people we are getting loser every day don't fall for that old as dirt PR tricks.
Hold the line no matter how long it takes.

I think that some of these guys are on to something. I am checking with my lawyer by the end of the week. The reason would be: official statements during development and at release do not match up with the published/released product. If I find out that I have legal basis, EA/Bioware can expect a complaint filed with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

It's not pessimism. its my opinion. I believe if it was up to Bioware themselves, this situation would have been addressed and probably not even occurred. Remember it was when ME2 came out, the time when EA took over, that the style of gameplay changed, etc.. Most studios nowadays need a major company behind them to remain stable and have the ability to create more games. I believe things would be different if Bioware were still under Microsoft.

Should BioWare end up showing us that there really is more to these endings then originally believed, be wary in how you approach the situation. You don't want to invalidate everything you've stood for, because you're not wrong; even if BioWare had an Ace up their sleeve this whole time.
If you truly felt wronged, you have every right to say so. You can acknowledge that they pulled a fast one with genuine praise or courtesy, while also pointing out that the whole situation would have gone much better for everyone involved if there were more engagement from BioWare other than 'half truth' and 'almost-but-not-quite' statements.
You've done nothing wrong if this all turns out to be a mirror trick. Acknowledge if they'd done something right, but be firm and resolute about what they did wrong. It's the only way we learn; no matter the medium.

I myself was planning to Buy From ashes for my next playthrough (would be finished that by now lol) and any future mid game Sp DLC but now with such a Bitter(Nonsweet) ending and its the same one with a different colour i do not feel the point in playing me1/2/3 ever again and be more careful about pre ordering Bioware and EA Games and no DLC for mass effect 3 for me until they fix the ending,

When I kill Saren and saved the Council, I felt proud. When I saved my crew and brought them all home from the collectors, I was proud of what we had achived. When I bring the Geth and the Quarians, the Krogan and Turians together I felt proud. When Mordin gave his life, I felt sad but proud. When I saved the galaxy from the Reapers..........who did I save, what did I achive nothing. No feeling of pride, of a job well done........just an empty feeling.
We will hold the line!

I already paid for an ending... I didn't get one... they need to fix it.. I realize that DLC costs money to make ..but the consumer shouldn't penalized for the mistake of producer.
Also, we already paid them money in good faith that we would get a satisfactory product. It feel like they should release a good ending to us FOR FREE in good faith. If it's actually satisfactory this time... the we might be willing to donate them money or something...but that should be completely up to us.

We all know that the endings we got are not what we were promised or wanted. We have to hold to our line and not give in to faux-olive branches. We deserve to get what we were promised during game-development! Endings that make sense based on our choices and ability to choice in the game! Not "16" endings that are 95% the same with minor small variations.
Well said!
Hold the line and we will win! please don't give up people we have only just started to make an impact these things take time. As I have said before it took Doctor Who fans 16 years to get our favorite show back but we did and now it is one of the best shows on Tv. Two weeks is nothing . Hold together and we will win. Please don't give up just when this is starting to work.
Hold the line for as long as it takes people.

Oh, I understand that you didn't mean it in a rabid sort of way. It's more just something I think we should keep in mind in the spirit of keeping our protest/movement/cause proactive with as little agressive negativity as possible. I prefer to think of us as activists than soldiers and activists have to engage in tactics and strategy as well.
It was a general statement and not meant to single you out. I'm cool with you and hope you're cool with me! *fistbump?*

Anyone think that EA shutting down all those game servers could have some serious PR backlashes? I mean it's kind of obvious that it will, but I'd like some opinions.
EA has been doing that for years, so it is nothing new, usually after 1-2 years they shut down some servers to make room for new games. I dont know how they choose which servers to shut down, an article I read says they do it based on how many people still play online and they have a certain threshold that if the game falls under consistnely they shut it down, but they do it at least once a year if I am not mistaken.
