This PR guy has put a lot of this in perspective. Glad there are fans of ME that come from all backgrounds. :)

my understanding of that is they made a mass driver type weapon.  you can take the principles of an idea at orders of lesser magitude.  I could build a potato gun on the principles of a bazooka after all.

It seems like that was a big plot point/hint until it disappeared was more my point, but thanks! :)

@The Almighty Ali: Yeah, my brother and I both think there won't be any kind of official announcement until PAX East at least. He'll be there, lucky such-n'-such, so I'll be awaiting regular text updates from him.

@Salyut: Because introversion and solitary activities aren't the norm. Now that multiplayer is almost standard on new titles and with the proliferation of console ownership, gaming has become much more acceptable than it use to be.

I've been thinking and I've come over a replay tweet from the ME3 twitter thingy.

"@rigormortis_uk More than two weeks, that's for sure. A lot of people haven't even completed the game yet."

Now considering Pax is coming up very soon, it could be a possibility they are silent because they intend to answer during Pax, it would be a ideal time when most of the gaming industry has their eyes on them.
Of course they could simply remain silent then aswell but it'll be interesting to see what happens.

In anycase we'll just keep the pressure up by spreading the word on why we do this, one tip might to angle our reason into being consumers who aren't satisfied with a part of a product, rather then gamers not satisfied with a videogame. It'll be something everybody can relate to as everybody have at one or several times bought a product they weren't satisfied with and wanted the consumer to fix.

Nice find.  Thankfully, the twitter is just telling us what we already know: this is going to take time.

Pax is a possibility, as is waiting for the fiscal quarter to end... not to mention I'm sure they're discussing/gathering information/weighing options... and the whole corporate chain of command thing.

Definitely looking forward to April, rain or shine :D

It is unfair, but I prefer to engage in more polite discussions and lead by example, rather than argue right against it. The greatest insult to an insulting voice is to completely ignore it.

Words of wisdom :)

It's difficult at times to stay positive and polite, but let's hope our efforts work out. Even if they don't, we can still be happy about all the money that has been raised for Child's Play. At least one good thing will come out of this.

Thanks, they are interesting reads. I keep wondering why Bioware are leading us on like that. Why not make an official response. The game has already had a global release JUST SAY SOMETHING!

Waiting for April seems like a very long time to hang onto the hope that Bioware is going to do something that restores my faith in them. I won't stop holding the line, but the amount of crediblity they'll regain in my eyes will deminish rapidly as time goes on.

Someone mentioned how members of the movement are being characterized. Would it help to get some quick demographic info on people - like age, sex, profession, with / without children - just to show that we aren't all 15 y.o. fanboys as we are being depicted?

Hold the line, guys and gals!

I actually think this is a good idea.
You can be in charge of making an official poll.

Make sure you include age, sex, and level of education.
*the last bit is to show not all of us haven't finished high school.
**no offense.

In all seriousness.
Good idea.

Hold the Line

Please make this, I would love to participate and also see what the results are.  Great idea!

Just a quick heads up: it looks like the forum mods have stepped up their activity. I know 99% of the Retake ME crew has been civil, ut we should spread the word to everyone to observe tbe rules and remain respectfhl. Dont allow yourself to be baited into a flame war.

Hold the line.

This stuff should be collected in another topic, much more lucid than posting in this thread where the information gets buried in minutes.

"We are getting plenty of feedback from people who love the ending and consider the thought of changing it an affront, as well."

Really, I haven't heard that much. And even still, they can have their endings, we can have ours, win-win in my book.

Really? Haven't seen them either. Must be on another forum. I've seen people insult us, but no one say changing the endings themselves would be an affront.

@Silveralen

To go with your comment on the twitter feed. I've actually seen a lot of people saying to leave the original endings in play for the people that liked them. An optional DLC fix won't take away or change their ending anyways.

@InsaneNarwhal. I would agree with making an optional DLC for the endings, I think that would be great for people who like endings.

Bioware/EA, if you have any feelngs at al (and I know you do despite what others say)...

LISTEN CAREFULLY!!!

This whole entire ordeal has long sensed crossed the point of complete and total insanity.

You have fans filing complaints against you to the FTC that we all know won't go anywhere but down the toliet, but the whole idea being REALLY a complaint to the FTC REALLY over the ending to a stupid game.

Before I continue, Let me point out that I LOVE the Mass Effect Franchise with a firey passion and would probably post a picture on facebook of my having diner with the collectors edition. (Do I have problems or what?). I'm pissed I didn't get to make blue babies with liara as much as the next guy, but this whole issue is reaching its boiling point if it hasn't already and you EA and Bioware are just as responsible the person who filed the FTC complaint for letting this issue spiral completely out of control.

Seriously Bioware, is all this controversy over the ending to fictional story really worth all the backlash your recieving.
Answer me that question with a straight face and tell me your happy, trust me I have time.

Anyway, I think the time for PR stunts is nearing the end of its effectiveness for you guys. No matter how you guys try to rationalize what you did with the ending you have no choice but to accept the cold hard truth:

THE INTERNET HATES THE ENDING OF MASS EFFECT 3 AND WON'T STOP COMPLAINING UNTIL YOU EXPLAIN YOURSELVES AND YOUR REASONS FOR THE ENDINGS WE GOT!

Anonymous and lulzec made it a personal vendetta to ruin companies they thought were "evil" last year and I sure many of us would perfer that we be spared this happening again.
Her is a piece of advice and please read it very carefully as it isn't funny at all.

If you guys don't say something soon to appease the fanbase who has supported you since the days of the first Mass Effect, through the Dragon Age II crisis and through the current Mass Effect Ending/PR disaster, mark my words...

Someone, maybe no on this board, but someone somewhere who has vey serious and deep personal issues and a very fragile mind may very well committ suicide over this whole ordeal. Don't believe me. Search google. People have ended up dead over games of Halo. If this happens, how are you going to blame? the kid for having problems? the fanbase? Hey you could even blame me if it would make you happy.

Trust Me EA/Bioware, the headline troubled individual committ sucide with gun to the head over the ending to Video Game Mass Effect 3 is really really REALLy bad publicity you guys don't need at this point nor does anyone for that matter.

I leave you with this call to action EA:

For the love of all things sacred, tell you PR team to shutup and let Bioware listen and make a choice:

EXPAND UPON THE CURRENT ENDING WITH DLC, FREE, PAID PATCH WHATEVER JUST DO IT!!!!

At this point your going to be hated no matter what you do, so choose the lesser of two evils and make some ending dlc. Its Better to please a good majority of fans rather than continue to the with the current PR garbage you keep throwing at us and become hated by the loyal fanbase you worked so hard to establish.

Whether it's right, wrong, purple, red, krogan or asari no longer holds any meaning.

For the sake of sanity, do something before the rest of the world realizes our priorities beyond absurd.

Thank you. Feel free to reply if you agree or disagree with what I have said, but most important, BIOWARE PLEASE READ THIS AND RESPOND.:alien:

I too agree that there should be optional DLC. I don't think any of us has ever suggested there should be some sort of patch for the endings that will be forced on anyone connected to the EA servers. That would be ridiculous, especially seeing as how many people have said they're willing to pay for optional endings.

We're asking for more choice, not the absence of choice.

Age: 43
Gender: female
Status: own house, living with girlfriend
Education: diploma
Profession: programmer (sorry, failed the "lack of geek" bit)
Children: none
Mood: tired

Not exactly what the detractors are trying to misrepresent us as, though would my opinion matter less if I was some 18 year old lad in college?  I'd hope not.
