And they still lie! Just take a look at the ME3 promotion, it is still the same, false crap like before. "Bioware is listening". Suuuuureee. I dont believe a word they say anymore. Most likely they are planning to sit it out. I am sure Bioware has already made their decisions. But they shouldnt expect to get much money from further DLC releases in germany. The fans over here are still furious and they will stay this way until Bioware fixes the ending and gives us what they promoted for months. The dropping prices for ME3 over here should be a clear message for Bioware: Keep your crap, we dont want it.
We will hold the line and strike back until Bioware goes down. Your faults, your consequences CH. I just hope that Bioware already regrets releasing this crapy ending and is only too stubborn to release a fullscale DLC including alternate endings. Its the only way for Bioware to get out of this mess without negative long term consequences. Release alternate endings or go down just as stubborn and lying as you are. I wont loose a tear about it.

I (and others no doubt) appreciate your enthusiam, but please remember we are making our stand with civility. We do not want to give the impression that we are just a bunch of crazed gamers.

Our choices should matter. Hold the line.

the odds are in favor to change the ending by large amounts , please BW if you are reading just announce a new end PLEASE , the whole game was amazing and somewhat better than ME1 and ME2 it's just the end that ruined the game.

i still care for mass effect but my patience has it's limits and once it's gone there will be no going back, i'll ignore everything related to BW every single launch knowing that a possible ME3 disaster could occur again in these new games.

listen to your fans BW , while you still have them.
that's not fair to treat us like that after all those years playing your games , that's just not right...

Excellent post. Sums up BWs situation perfectly and everyone who's down should read this - we are definitely winning.

To answer the demographics question:
28 male,
English language and literature major & history major,
working as a translator,
long time girlfriend - also an ME fan

No, we are losing.

Every hour BioWare does nothing, we get further behind.

The further this goes, the lower the passion drops, the more we lose.

The Retake Charity gained 50k in 65 hours.  In the four and a half days since, it's only gained another 23k.

Just look at the shift in this forum.  Look at how much fewer rants there are.  People are just ceasing to care.

We are losing, and to think we are winning is just fooling yourself and hurting the cause.

This is where you're wrong - I can understand how you think this - but remember this isn't a sprint -- get get as far as we have as quickly as we have is in itself amazing - revolutionary.

Old days to get a company to even admit some of their fans aka majority - dislike something of there would take months usually.  We're rewriting the rules of PR.

ATG has confirmed this - along with others.  Second - if there was no "The Truth" dlc already planned - I still have a theory they did - but that's another subject.

Right now - they are meeting to see how quickly something could be done and for how much - they will then put this against the econ of not doing anything.  If one is greater than the other........we will get our fix.

Thirdly - we have them scared - terrified - because we most so quickly - anything they are trying to calm the storm - to try and generate good PR for themselves - we shut it done - we give our counter arguement.  We do it calmly - respectfully.

There's been an influx of forums saying we love the endings - they die fast - move out.  Those are created by BW and EA to try and flood out this sub; and So We can't get the ending we want.   These two subs dominate the forums along with the ME3 suggestion forum.   You honestly thing BW/EA want those subs at the top?  Heck no - just keeps feeding our cause.

We're the top searches in google - again a nightmare for BW and EA - in the UK ME3 has dropped in sales by 74% - word of mouth is hitting - peopel are understanding why we are doing this; and getting behind us.

First time in history of gaming; gamers are actually being looked at as consumers and customers instead of just scum.  Getting Forbes behind us; gettin noticed in main stream media.  We were on front page of bbc news website.

HUGE - Their silence is deafing - their tweets of  we are listen - They are and they are scared - they tested the waters possibly on early monday morning with saying there won't be any new ending content - It exploded on them - when you got to pull a community manager out of bed at 3 am - to keep it from completely boiling over.  That's a PR nightmare - We keep the pressure on.......we will only have one chance to change history in gaming for the better.........THIS IS OUR CHANCE.  They want people to start posting like this - they think the old PR rules still will work....

They won't - they are slowly learning this.

I think bioware thinks they can just wait until they feel like releasing an ending DLC to announce it. What they don't realize is that after people get fed up with waiting, they'll wash their hands, and even when they do put out ending DLC, people will have moved on. They need to do something fast, or the whole company will start collapsing alot worse then making an announcement before april would.

Even if they lied and that is a fact. But please as I said before and even in german, you should stay calm if you realy want a new ending. If we are react like little whiny children than all efford with the child's play chip'n and the take ME back thing would be for nothing.

Just posted this in response to an article about Mass Effect's 'perfect' ending.

...

The lack of closure is only one of the many reasons that a large portion of the Mass Effect community has been reaching out to Bioware for a better ending.

Simply put: the one they gave us is lazy.

The entire final sequence and last twenty minutes of the game is full of plot holes.
(I link you to this as a comprehensive list: https://docs.google....pli=1&sle=true# )

The Catalyst is nothing more than a universally reviled literary device - Deus Ex Machina.

The endings, which were promised to be wide in scope and personalized enough as to show the gamer the effect of their actions over the last three games, are ultimately nothing more than the results of one final choice that the player makes.
(And because this one choice has almost complete authority over the game's end, we are only given a few truly different ways in which it can conclude - in shades of Red, Green, and Blue.)

The final cinematics, no matter which path you do choose, are almost complete carbon copies of one another - with only minor variations in color palette to set them apart.
(Once again, I will refer you to an outside source for this one: )

And yes, we weren't given the closure we were promised either.

So please, I ask that you don't belittle the movement. We, as a vast majority, are trying to give the developers the time they need to make things right, and in the mean time, help them to understand exactly where they went wrong. We want to give them the benefit of the doubt, and until they open a dialouge with us, we are trying to get our message out in the most constructive ways possible. To date, a drive to get the endings changed has netted almost 100,000 dollars for Child's Play & I've seen two separate mail-in campaigns dedicated to showing that Bioware that their fans really do care. While we recognize that there are some disatisfied gamers who would jump towards inflammatory action quickly, we are dedicated to resolving this as civily as possible and in no way condone their actions.

Thanks for the opportunity to voice my opinion on the matter.

...

Any changes I should make?

Thanks - I'm a writer - I know how are taking hard criticism can be - but I do because it makes whatever I write better and i'm thankful for it.

I've just been watching - pretty much last 10 tweets to ME3 on feedback - this is in the last 10 minutes or so......Love the game - hate the ending - shame on the ending. etc.

Having two major retailers start taking back your opened game - is a first in history in gaming.  Specially for PC games - you don't get a refund; you  were lucking to get an exchange if it didn't work.

I know that will put major pressure on EA - BW other divisions are feeling the heat big time  I do wan to hear what ATGhunter says about Best Buy and Amazon taking the open games back and what it means on the inside.

My dad is a CPA - he's got his licence in California and Oregon - I'm going to have a chat with him and see if he can shed light on what it means on the fiancial side.

According to NASDAQ, EA lost about 17% share value from 01/03 to 03/20. $17.04 down from $20.60 market share. I'm not going to pretend that I can fathom all the factors driving those figures, but If you look from 11/04 to 03/20 that's a 30% drop in market value over less then a half year.

So trust me guys, they are probably sweating bullets over at EA right now.

Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Yes I agree!
I don't get why they feel the need to attack us either.

I thought we all here have been posting...."we're glad you enjoyed it"

Exactly. Now I am not blind - I know that some of us who dislike the ending have been insulting to others - but that is a minority and I think we have shown quite nicely that we do not support nor tolerate it.
And yet - I have personally seen more hate towards us than towards the "ending-defenders" but that might be based on the forums I vist. I have no desire to read a forum that has a topic like "Why the whiners should shut up" or the likes.
But still - the entire concept of their hate eludes me. It is basically telling us that we don't deserve to get an ending we would like to see because they are happy with theirs. Strange.

Anyway, as many posts have come up again as to why we think BioWare has lied to us and for that I would like to direct you once more to one of the BSN threads that has a collection of comments from interviews with different BioWare personnel which can be found right here: http://social.biowar...6886/1#10056886
Maybe this will help to explain our disappointment.
