Just got in from work, watched the "Animal House" ME3 ending video, and am now settling in to revel in catching up on the 20+ pages of discussion. (and of course answer my e-mails!)
Back when I catch up from my last post on page 265!
Continue to stay strong, stay civil, and use your voice with passion no matter what side you take. As for me, beside each of you, I will Hold the Line.

Shower the line!
On a more serious note (but neither yellow nor sour!), well put MeldarthX.
I can be stubborn, and will apply that to holding the line, just need a pep-talk now and then I suppose.
Anytime hun - and if you're a guy.....I most likely would of still used that said - That's what we're here for;
For when we doubt,
the line before us,
each one carries the weight,
Of our stories,
May they differ,
To those that came before,
We Hold The Line noneless,
Pick those up that fall with a smile,
Nod; continue,
Our voice though,
Is as one;
Passion of an angel,
Fury of a devil,
This is our time,
Choices we made should matter......

Lead on, Cap'n. I'll be waiting for your opinion. Especially on this new Twitter debacle.

I think bioware thinks they can just wait until they feel like releasing an ending DLC to announce it. What they don't realize is that after people get fed up with waiting, they'll wash their hands, and even when they do put out ending DLC, people will have moved on. They need to do something fast, or the whole company will start collapsing alot worse then making an announcement before april would.
There are a lot of passionate ME fans that *may* wait it out, myself included. IF I have to pay for it tho, I would definitely give that a second thought. I feel decieved, and all the pre-release hype didn't live up to my expectations. It has left a very very bad taste in my mouth. I actually found 1 &2 to be a more indepth game and storyline. It took me a lot longer to play those than 3. One of the folders in the game install directory is named "Cooked PC". To me, especially with the shaudy ending, I would call the game "half-baked".
I'm in the "over 50 crowd", and I have a wide variety in game tastes; Action/FPS, CoD, AC, HOG's, etc.. I have a lot to keep me busy while I Hold The Line on this one. This I believe is the first EA title that I have owned in many many years, and it will be the last one that I own if EA / Bioware keep giving lip-service. Hmmm .. didn't Shepard tell Jack in ME2 that she was only giving lip-service to Miranda, and look how that turned out.

I've decided that ending your Sci-Fi epic by party with Ewoks is a good way to end a trilogy after all.

He obviously hasn't finished the game yet.
To be honest I don't think he understands the concept of what mass effect is about.

I have been civilized long enough. Bioware obviously wont move a finger to release an alternate ending. What the hell is so difficult about it Bioware? Write at least two alternate endings, explain the plotholes, calm down your customers, proof your "we are listening" is worth something and even get money for it !
The only reason i can think about why they act so stupid is that they are too stubborn. Bethesda did it with FO3: Broken steel. So it wont even be the first time a game developer reacts this way. There is no reason for Bioware to be ashamed if they change the ending. Happy fans are also happy customers. Furious fans are former customers.
After the ending of the series "Firefly" fans demanded another season and have been protesting. The result was the movie "Serenity". A clear economic success, so it obviously isnt just about the gaming community.
But as far as i see Bioware hasnt done anything. "Yes, we are listening". What a joke... Bioware, if you want to make money with further DLCs, release a DLC with alternate endings first.Maybe the protest movement will slow down one day. But this wont help Bioware, you wont be able to sell your stuff to us. If the line eventually breaks one day, just remember to get your revenge: Dont buy anything from Bioware ever again. No DLCs. no new games. Nothing. And make sure your bud´s wont eather.
Let us see how Bioware likes this once the time comes. They release a new game? Fine, just post a ME3 Cover screenshot in return and dont buy it. Wont even need another explanation.
I understand your fury - I love it - but if you're going to get a corp to change its mind........we got to keep it civil; respectful. If you're getting more angry - if you haven't donated its a great release.....
Second - as this isn't a spriit - log out - take a breath - write if you write - Try and game.......which is been damn hard lately for me.......
Most of all......

stating that you are listening is only effective when you react to what you have heard. I'm starting to wonder if they actually care at all.

@MeldarthX: Oh I know what groups they most likely belong to, but for me personally the concept of trolling is just not fathomable. I know it exists, I know it is practiced, I know some people enjoy it but for me - it's just a very sad thing and a waste of time.
Hired voices - yeah, that's just sad and nothing else, even if it is a more or less common business tactic.
Ill-informed and illogic: ill-informed could be fixed easily if they weren't too lazy, and illogic - well that is just a kind of its own, I suppose.
But back to the topic:
it actually does seem that the attacks have been less in the last day, but what remains is often enough still quite harsh. In the end though, I think the civil demeanor of this group, the interesting points and peaceful arguments will carry us much further than the rest.

I don't know if you've seen an English show called 'spaced'? There's a line in that 'yeah but jar jar binks makes the Ewoks look like f****ing Shaft'

Broken steel wasn't an emergency fix to a bad ending, fallout seemed appropriate, a heroic sacrifice to save the wasteland. Very satisfying. But, we wanted to freeroam and see the wasteland and how we changed it. they had hours of gameplay, a good plot, more levels, and redesigned landscape. It was nice, i liked the dlc, it didnt seem necessary, the ending wasnt a confusingmess of plot holes in fallout. Mass effect NEEDs a new ending
Yeah it was. You die because you walked in to a room filled with enough Radiation to melt your face off. The thing is though is that there were two companions that were immune to radiation, and if you played the game right you had enough anti Radation meds to survive another 3 apocalypses. Fallout 3 had huge plotholes.
