 Dear fellow line holders,
 Dear friends,

I have decided to contribute with something fun that could be used and spread to help the more angry of us remain calm and civil.

THIS should be in the OP as some sort of tenet.

Make it blue. Red makes people more likely to act in anger. Blue induces calm.

That's exactly how long I'm giving them.  After that, I uninstall and swear off Bioware games.  No more pre-orders for me, I'll wait until that **** is reviewed thoroughly and pick up a discounted copy a month or two after it is released.

I'd be more than happy to sing praises about Mass Effect 3, if not for the crushing disappointment that is the games conclusion, and I use that term lightly.

I remember after I finished the game, I walked into my brother's room and told him, 'Well, just beat mass Effect 3.' When he asked how was it, it was difficult to find the words, but 'It sucked' jumped to mind before I could stop it. I spent a lot of time talking up the games to him, he hasn't played any of the Mass Effects, and now I fear he never will, it's tragic really. I'm pretty much driving the rest of my house crazy with reports about the movement, but I might burst if I don't share some of my grieve this game has given me.

..and the more people who finish the game, the larger our movement grows.

Keep up the pressure people. We can do this.

Hold the line for as long as it takes.

Imagine that you are at a desk and all day long people are calling you about the sixteen setting toaster that burns your toast on all sixteen settings.  How many times do you think it takes before that person gets so frustrated saying "thank you for your input" they blurt out "some people like 16 different types of burnt toast!"

...

It's a great analogy and I think you're spot on, but it also made me literally LOL at my desk  Which is a good thing.
"Some people like 16 different types of burnt toast!"

Holding the line right alongside you, good sir.

Link it - posting large photos can get subs locked down - I'd hate to give them any ammo to lock us down.

I like the red - normally I'm paragon - but for this I'll go renegade on them........;)

You copy the image url into your forum signature (its in your forum options) and then surround the url with urlthingy tags.

If I recall correctly, that design comes from a series of posters designed to be released by the British government to keep people going during the WWII bombings.  That red one was meant to be put up only if things became very, very bad - which they never did, so it never was officially released.  What did the first few in the series say?

No worries! :)

This thread has a full list of Retake ME3 banners in the OP (scroll down, the OP is long) and if you look beneath the banners themselves you'll see a sweet little tutorial on how to add them to your signiture. It's how I finally figured it out myself. Hope this helps!

Is there anything we can do to stop this trend in news articles from saying we all want a 'happier' ending? I'm sure some people do want that, but I was under the impression that this movement was more for adding closure, fixing gaping plot holes, and getting an ending that makes sense. That is at least my opinion, and what I've been seeing in posts here.

And holy crap the forums picked up really quickly.  I guess it's cuz people are all home from work now.  This is exactly what we should be doing.  Whenever it's convenient, just drop by and make a post, let Bioware know that just because you're not actively engaged on the forums at all hours of the day doesn't mean you're not still paying attention and that your silence does not mean tacit approval of the endings.  I hope they learned this fact with that twitter/facebook fiasco on Sunday night, but it might be pretty funny to see if they "test the waters" again only to find that the reaction they get hasn't diminished.

I don't have much more to say, I'll be around for another couple hours doing what I do, but there is so much good stuff in this thread and across the BSN that I can say that I'm proud of what's going on here.

Our Choices Should Matter - Hold the Line

@atghunter: In Social Media v. Bunker Defense we've been forced to walk a narrow line; the people operating the official Twitter and Facebook and Forum accounts are simply employees, people not be blamed for this debacle, but they are also our simplest target to put pressure on. Don't shoot the messenger comes to mind.

And so far civility and charity have pocketed us a degree of respect from bystanders in this conflict, but with the NDA in full effect and the uselessness of shooting the messenger, our targets default to review bombing, returning the game, and keeping up our public awareness through social media, like we are right now.

My concern is this: if EA can shoulder the refunds and the stock price drops and the bad press, if they just shrug it off and keep up the silence... is there a step we can take after that? Do we need to be planning a contingency, or are we left with the choice between returning to an abusive relationship or becoming disgruntled former customers?

Well it doesn't help that on our facebook page we've got "Some possible ideas include Shepherd retiring or settling down with his/her love interest, returning to work as a Council SPECTRE, or traveling the galaxy as an inter-species
diplomat. " lodged in our statement.:pinched:

<sarcasm>Check you thesaurus.  Better clearly means happier. </scarcasm>
Seriously, though, my preferred ending is just saying no, and fighting reapers with the sweat of my brow.  Or watching the Earth burn as I'm a captive of The Citadel.  Either way, I'd settle for the option to refuse the three choices.

Ok folks - reason they attack - several - one their are a troll.  They just like annoying people; getting people upset - they do it for kicks.  Those are easiest to disarm.

You be nice to them - use intelligance and if that doesn't work. Ignore them.  They then end up getting pissed off themselves and making themselves look very stupid.

Number 2 - they are a plant - its their job to calm the storm - insite people into anger so they look like just what they claiming we are.  Again easily delt with; with respect - civility - and you counter with facts.  They will end up slipping up and doing something dumb; making themselves look like exactly what they claim you are.

Number 3 - Illogic and Ill Informated - these can be dangerous.  If they are Illogic - no matter what you say to them - they will continue to spout whatever - leave them to do just that; they burn fast and just look foolish.  Ill informed - can easily be turned into ally if you are smart about it.  You engage them in conversation; show your side; give your facts without being preachy; condensending.  Treat them like you want to be treated.

The side tatics of attacking us has slowed down - ATGhunter said; tieing ourselves to this charity was best thing we could of done.  People complain oh your using this charity.  I say; yes we are; that's its done.  You say any artist - actor supporting a Charity - its for PR - it to show them in a good light - very few just go oh I'm doing this just because.

We've raised 83k for children - this is a great thing - remember this - no matter what happens - we have made a major difference.  I've donated - and when I can I will donate again - yea its slowed down - but people are still donating - and continueing to donate.  We will hit 100k -

Most of all - We Will Win - BELIEVE - for there is no try - there is do or DO NOT......

I choose DO......

HOLD THE LINE

I read somewhere (probably on a stone tablet when I was in undergraduate studies) something to the effect:

The essence of understanding is to take fundamental knowledge and theory and apply it to the real world.  Those that provide that knowledge are honored best when those that apply it do so with brilliance.

You honor an old gamer Sir.  /salute

Does anyone know how to jump to a specific page in a thread? I.e., if I want to get to page 100, can I just zip there or do I have to go through the long process of jumping 3 pages?

Just on the point of memorabilia, I was 250 LBs and i ordered a XXL N7 Hoodie, then l was 230LBs and ordered a XL N7 Hoodie, then 210 LBs and ordered a L N7 Hoodie, then I was 195LBs of pure tank and ordered an M N7 Hoodie; Cause I need my awesome N7 Hoodies to fit my now rockin' body

I was going to get one of those elite ones but... I dunno now, i don't think i should show my support for something i don't support, with t shirts and other stuff, the last year i spent close to $1000 on Mass effect Memorabilia. Yes, i have a problem (and LOTS of disposable income) but the point is its profitable to EA and Bioware that i have this problem, but not anymore.

I'm going to spend my money on more awesome things, Like my new Kawasaki Ninja.

That's right ladies; I'm a loving, caring dork boy built like manshep, lots of money and has a sexy motor bike. You know you want some of this.

Huh... though saying that N7 bikers jacket (Akin to a Dririder)... I may not be able to resist. that would be awesome.

I Totally forgot the point i was trying to make, oh wait

Hold the line (Bioware: N7 Bikers jacket, Me: MUST-RESIST-INDOCTRINATION)

the sad thing is, this measure might not be enough.  how many of the professional reviews wouldhave prevented you from buying it.

Its tough, reviwers trend positive and forums trend negative... where are we supposed to get the truth?

I think it isn't only the thing of PR.
In my opinion the storywriters, producers etc, going through the five stages of grief.

1-Denial: Why? it is a good ending
2-Anger: They are all wrong. They don't understand.
3-Bargaining: Please give us time. We concern your worries
4-Depression: OMG so many don't like it. We screwed up.
5-Acceptance. ok let's work something out
