The OP has been updated with some new content. More to follow tomorrow. I'm still working on fixing the links and naming them. Give me some time and it'll all be sorted out.

@atg: Thanks again for your words of wisdom. I may be a specialist in urban warfare/psy-ops but PR wars is a whole different ballgame. Your insight is enlightening.
All I can say at this point folks is that whether we notice it or not we -are- winning. As my Colonel once said, "They may be a solid wall of rock but we are the tide. They can stand firm but we will erode away at them slowly and in the end the wall will collapse." Just remember as always to be polite, respectful and upstanding so that any attempt to vilify us looks childish and silly.
As always, this ex-soldier and current Commander Shepard salutes all of you and is proud to stand within your ranks.
Hold the line!

Combination of economic and PR factors. They have to worry about sales, PR investors, stocks....
This isn't going to come down to appeasing their fans. This is going to come down to which route will cost them less money and PR. We have to make sure they choose sales and fans over the immediate benefit of investor security, which will quickly fall.
I agree, and it's really my point too. Keeping this up will they/won't they stonewalling isn't helping them. They should just end it and move on. But I agree that they probably can't because their machinery for dealing with this wasn't adapted to how quickly things can move with social media.
Yeah... Bioware/EA is going to be a case study for future MBAs. I bet other large game companies are watching all this and learning from it at Bioware/EA's expense.
The irony of it all? I remember Diana Allers' line in the game: "Have you seen how fast an e-democracy can turn on its allies?" Well, now Bioware has.

i would think if they had anything good to say they'd say it asap as they need time for a positive reception to be reflected in the quarter end results. I will not stop holding the line, but they don't seem to have anything to say. yet.
Oh they are saying plenty , check new sudden posts spam about "great endings".They are fighting with everything they got right now without steering controversy.
Someone is working hard to bury this and similar threads far bellow...

Can anyone tell me where we stand after the twitter announcement?
I'm Holding the Line but what do their statements mean? Is that their final answer?
I would bet the farm atghunter would say it is a way to see if they can demoralize us.
Hold the Line
Also possibly an attempt to pacify. The tweet (while using subtle doublespeak to leave it open) heavily implied it would be an announcement of a new ending. It is not. It's a delay tactic that doesn't promise anything, and causes many people to ease off the pressure. People who think they have won tend to rest on their laurels, and this is a trick to get us to do just that. And the few that aren't fooled are demoralized, thinking that 2 weeks is a long way off. The also are attempting to burn us out with waiting. They figure we are an EXTREMELY passionate movement, and passionate movents often have trouble transitioning to long term ones. But as I've said before, this is a TERRIBLE idea. Everyone who leaves the line is probably leaving bioware for good as well. It's a stupid mistake, as people WILL give up, and that permanent money down the drain (not saying the movement will end, just that a few people will throw their hands up in disgust, and wash them of this debocle). The trick is to realize this and renew our efforts. Keep the pressure up, I may not be anywhere near as good at PR as ATG, but I have seen this behavior from many companies during my work, it's designed so people are either pacified, or settle into the long haul. and also when people settle into the long haul they let up the intensity. This is actually an extremely good post for us, as it is basically EA/Bioware pleading please let up on this pressure on us, it hurts. We need to see through this, recognize it for what it is, and press the attack. They know were hurting them, and are trying to beg for mercy, while at the same time not giving us anything. Keep up the pressure, this post reeks of desperation!
Hold the line, because space magic..... seriously

You need this article in your OP. It sums up the reasons that the ending fails better than anything else I've seen. I also like This thread by Eternalsteelfan It's a great analysis from the perspective of a screen writer.

I like examiner. Clicked a few links at the bottom of that article and it seems like their reviewers are actually invested in the trilogy. Not to mention reporting on the Retake ME group in an objective way. Just facts, no opinion, at least in the articles that mentioned us that I read. Very nice.

I signed up for an account just to throw in my support. Like many others, I thought the game was fantastic as I played through, a masterpiece of modern videogaming that tugged at all of my emotions with each little vignette of my favorite digital comrades, both past and present. I went into the final battle expecting my hours upon hours of game play and arduous choices to play out in some grand battle and wrap up what would have been a defining sci-fi trilogy for this generation.
Instead, as I progressed through the final moments of my journey, and instead of getting feelings of exhilaration and satisfaction I found confusion and disappointment. After seeing my ending (green was my flavor), I was so confused that I actually thought that I had done something wrong, made a wrong choice somewhere, or maybe didnt collect enough war assets to earn me the best ending possible, just to find out that none of it mattered and the only "best possible" ending is to let our good friend Marauder Shields end Shepard and save us all.
I was very happy to find out that I wasn't the only one this upset by the ending and while I've resigned myself that there may be no better ending provided by BW, my own imagination (and that fantastic "Animal House" youtube vid) has provided me with a fitting end to Shepard's mission. But hope springs eternal, which is why I proudly join this amazing movement you all have created here and wish to say:

A++ reporting by the OP, and very insightful input by atghunter. Much thanks for atghunter's analysis. Also, funny set of phrases you guys got in the business of deceiving and politicking the public.
This the only ME3 thread I've subscribed to so far and it's worth every post. Keep on keepin' on.
And where do I sign up for the resistance?

I can relate to that, since i have only lurked BW forums (old and new ojnes ) for years till they didn't utterly destroyed DA with DA II.
At that point , i have felt that i need to speak up.However didn't hope that they going to make another mess after first debacle but here we are ...
