Come on Bioware we're not going to just give up. Just accept that we will hold the line.

Drat, now I feel stupid. But for once in a while, it's actually a good thing.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge, atghunter! You are credit to team!

Hold the Line!

Atghunter is absolutely right about the timing of Hudson's response. It's a simple Friday document dump and it's a pretty common occurrence. News outlets do it all the time because if you want to bury a story but at least claim you covered it, you cover it on Friday.

Most of these things you see as olive branches aren't that at all. They are part of the already planned launch period of ME3 (Star Wars I can't speak for). The N7 MP weekend was planned some time ago - before the ending situation came to light. Not everything revolves around this controversy. It's just unfortunate timing. Same goes for the recent strategy videos for example - we filmed those weeks ago. I think Corey and Eric did a great job in them and was dismayed at the vitriol in the YouTube comments.

You're complaints are being heard, and considered and discussed etc, but I wouldn't read so much into some of the marketing stuff we're doing. I know a lot of you won't buy that - i cant "prove it" - but I've actually always been honest with you guys all the way back to ME1. Operation Goliath is an event we planned because the multiplayer is really fun, and we want to engage the players with it (i just completed the challenge tonight myself!). Of course we had events and releases planned for the week after launch-week. There are no nefarious scheming evil meetings on this topic. We take it seriously, and are discussing it internally. Nobody is happy or dismissive about the fan reaction, at BioWare. Quite the opposite really. These are good people who care deeply about the work they do.

I would suggest patience but not sure there's receptiveness to that at this point.

Guess that's all I wanted to say for now. Have a good night/weekend.

I find it kind of funny that everybody is taking a complete stranger at his word without actually doing a background check. You might be interested in what you find.

And his nefarious goal is? To get us some end game DLC.....

I maintain hope, but call BS until I read or hear the words - we are fixing/finishing the ending with dlc. Other than that, I just don't care. Unless You do this, I'm afraid I can't guarantee I'll ever buy one of your products ever again, EA included. Of course, EA has Madden and whatnot, so they'll never go out of business, but I'm being serious, regardless of whether it harms you as companies in the long run.

In the end, we can vote with our wallets, and our feet.

The guy used to work for bioware?

He's a pizza maker with no experience in anything PR and is just talking rubbish?

What do you mean?

Finally an official answer, thank you! Patience is all we can have right now. And holding the line.
Myself I dont care for ME3 mp at all, I find it an unneeded addition to a game that was bound to be epic.
I'll get lynched for this but EA/BioWare...gimme a standalone FPS/TPS mp only game! :3

Honestly, wouldn't they realize that an ending DLC would be very profitable? I understand that they wouldn't announce it so soon from release (especially since it hasn't released everywhere in the world yet, if I remember correctly), but couldn't they give some kind of quiet reassurance?

This is a very important thread. We were in the dark about this "PR war" until this savvy gamer-former PR guy told us was is happening. I'm surprised this thread isn't locked. People should save the OP and repost it if it ever got locked, just in case. Along with the "so we wont get the ending after all" and the indoctination theory threads, this thread should be bumped frequently while more and more gamers check this board out for some answers.

Someone could write a master's thesis about what's going on.

The true horror of the situation is that a few months or years down the road people will still consider the ending of ME3 a disgrace. Doesn't matter if the developers agree or not. That's their 'legacy'...

... unless it gets changed.

Thanks for the post.

Whatever lack of patience there is, its somewhat justifyable.  There have been several bioware posts that have essentially deflected or try to turn it around as positive PR.  Thats a pretty big slap in the face, and we are likely to return it in kind.

I think, at the very least... we didn't like being ignored by Bioware while Mainstream Media called us all entitled brats, instead of loyal consumers.
