So one plot hole that I never thought of until now. (Probably been talked about to death but bare with me.) At the end, why does the space magic wreck the Normandy? I guess if you choose cinnamon space magic maybe its because EDI is killed and the lazy crew is so used to her they can't fly without her. However the same happens if you pick mint or blueberry blast. Nothing in any of the flavors should wreck the Normandy. Maybe because they're too close to the catalyst? If that's so, does that imply the entire armada is now wrecked now?

I've always said it was completely wiped out

Mass relays go boom........its a super nova like blast - there two in Sol system - oh yea; they are dead.....and every other system with a mass relays.......even the closed off ones

So basically we are the worst mass murderers/genocide committers ever.....even more than the Reapers how's them apples.

ok I really am going LOL

Thank you all for the help with the signature. Another forum I frequent uses a modified (read simplified) BBCode. Hoped it would work the first time around. But it's all good now.

I also wish to thank ATGHunter and everyone else that are pointing the PR tricks used against us. I am not afraid to admit that I'm a fairly naive guy. If it was not for you, I'd have probably fallen for those cheap tricks.

We all need to remember that while PAX would be a good moment for Bioware to make a statement, they may very well say nothing in the hopes we don't keep fighting after that. Kepp this possibility in mind and like atg said, don't burn yourselves out. We might need all that energy later.

Honestly, I think it's a PR trick, I'm not as good at analyzing these things as atg, but I have seen a simmilar tactic in my own line of work. I wrote up my own analysis a few pages back, so I won't repeat myself, but it is basically EA/BW begging for a let up to the pressure we are putting on them.

That's what I would go with. We have put them under a lot of pressure for an extended perioed of  time. Which I would bet they weren't expecting. They probable thought we'd die out after the first couple of days. We haven't, we've grown. Now they are trying to handle us.

Pay them no mind, and continue to hold the line.

I agree. In fact, we are only going to continue to grow as more and more people finish the game. Let us not kid ourselves here that we are going to be the only vanguard to this movement. The majority of us finished this game pretty fast, and there will be more that are tackling the game that have school, kids, a stressful full time job, multiple part time jobs, and hobbyists outside of normal gaming. When they finish, and if they feel the same, they are going to look for answers. So far there are no answers - but there is a movement.

That is where we are, and that is why this is so important. It isn't just about making a statement now and standing together united. It is also about keeping the flame alive, the passion high, the words civil, and keeping a warm inviting home for kindred spirits.

Stand Fast, Hold that Line, and Keelah Se'lai - Stand Together.

This might seem like a shameless plug (it's not intended for that), but I put together a video basically showing how the ending to ME3 is just a conglomerate of other "endings" from previous science fiction installments.  The idea of destruction vs. control (chaos vs. order) and the like is just too...convenient.

In a couple instances (Star Control), it's so eerily similar that it's almost a carbon copy, even the wording and language used.  Of course this is just *my* viewpoint, and this being the internet - we all know what a random opinion is worth.

All in all, this thread - and the movement are pretty impressive.  If people don't enjoy something, civil discussion can go a long way.

As a long time fan of Bioware I feel let down by the ending to ME3. To me none of it makes sense. There are plot holes left and right and the three choices all seem to be the exact same. I expect more out of this company. There are many more feelings of frustration I have towards the company...I just don't have the brainpower to talk about them. So I guess my point is this...I won't buy another product from Bioware or EA until the ending of ME3 is fixed. I might voice my feelings in more depth later. I'll take part in polls. Most importantly is that I am going to stay true to my words about not giving Bioware/EA a single dime until they release a fix to the ending of ME3. I don't care how good the future DLC (none ending DLC) is because I know that ultimately the ending is the same....so unless they fix the ending I won't buy anything from them.

Hello all, I've been following this post for the past couple of days (and waiting patiently for my account to activate so I could post!) and I feel everything everyone here has felt as well.  It's like I've been making this awesome cake for 5 years, adding a bit of this, a bit of that and so on to really make something great, and at the end someone burst in and said "Here! You have these 3 choices to put on your amazing cake, what one do you want?" and every topping I get to finish off my cake, destroys the whole thing and leaves a terrible aftertaste.  I love Mass Effect, the series, the characters, everything.  When I play, I get completely immersed, to the point my girlfriend makes fun of me, but still.  I've been playing the games since they came out, and I would love for something to happen.  I can understand BioWare standing up to what they made, but as a company who wants to make their fans happy, you'd think we'd get a little bit more than what we received.  I'm going to go a little off topic here and mention something....

Have you guys played Metal Gear Solid 4? (If you haven't and plan on playing, don't read on, SPOILERS!)

The creators knew that this was going to be Snake's last story, so they had to make it an epic one.  Throughout the game, you could reflect on everything that happened between the 3 previous games.  There were soooooo many refrences to them, and they fit in perfectly.  The only thing I can think of to describe the ending is, perfect.  There is litterally 15 to 30 minutes for each major character of the  series, giving them their ending, and us our closure.  Two characters finally get married, one gets re-united with his family, and Snake meets someone who changes his life (and saves it!)  It was beautiful.  (End Spoilers)

I know that they are two seperate studios, but that's what I was expecting for ME3.  I wanted to know what happened to everyone, even if it was brief.  Personally, I didn't think the ending was all that bad, if it could of been one of the possible 16.  The indoctrination theory has given me a lot of hope, and it's what I currently believe in.  But for now, I'll stick to these forums and back up each and every one of you.

I may be new here, but I'm no rookie.

I'll continue to HOLD THE LINE.

Right... So I got a note from this Vakarian dude about meeting a bunch of my fellow comrades at the bar...

Last time I did that, the Asari troll offered me a drink that looked stomach-churning, tasted foul, and after I downed it, she suddenly looked like that pretty Asari consort everyone's been trying to get a meeting with.

Anyway, reporting for line holding duties. Where's the bar again?

In the end, I would think it would be better if BW did fix/change the ending. Just for the sake of the legacy of ME. This is more about saving the Galaxy.

We are your allies BW! Don't just wait for more dialogue, use that paragon interupt on this movement and go renegade on the current endings.

While I agree with you and they have a right to their own opinion,
I also think that those opinions should be countered, if found wrongful in facts, and we are the means
to do this as we are in the movement.
Too many people are afraid to do the research which would show them
the truthful reasons for this movement, which is completely fine in my eyes.
When this man wrote this article, his way of replying to comments shows just how "immature" we really are.
We cannot be blamed for "going over the line" if some individuals choose to destroy their copies of this wonderful franchise.
However, being that this is the media, anything to do with rash actions like the FTC and the destruction of copies will be used against us.
WHich is why we need to inform them we are better than that and let them know of the reasons we're fighting tooth and nail for this. NOT because we're "entitled spoiled brats who want to end the video game developer artistry and ownership". BUT rather because we love this franchise and hold it near and dear to our heart for it to end on such a pathetic and depressing whimper.
It is up to us to show people we are the mature "minority" and
voice ourselves with mature actions.

This movement will go places.
I know it.
Our resolve is adamant.

Hold the Line

I get your point, i was just sayng it is hard to etablish dialogue with people who actual don't want it, his reply is clearly provocative.
If someone wants to step in, it should just be informative, but not directly talking to the guy.
A well, i'll go to sleep soon, too tired to care much about that kind of provocation, and after reading ING G4 and such, i'm pretty cold and untouched by their attempt to shake or diminish the movement.
Media are too often tool for propaganda, it's always the same key words, the machinal sentences "minority blablabla, thinks they have the right to blablabla, of cause they are wrong blablabla, making them ridiculous blablabla".

One thing is sure... it's not only Bioware is watching how is it going, all major companys takes notes of what is happening here, and they would be wrong to take this case as a "minority of whinny kids".

Right now, i have the feeling that at Bethesda they are thinking "dude... Bioware is proving us Broken Steel was the right call, glad we dodged that sh*tstorm kept our fan base, and made money out of it".

BioWare knows that they ran out of time and budget to complete the game. They had to ditch and rush content. The ending was a primary victim of this. They know that they ending is not genius. It was an attempt to salvage what they could from limited remaining resources before shipping.

They can't outright say, "Guys, we know, the ending sucks. We ran out of time and money." That would sabotage sales, rating, etc. So they're playing it off like it was a stroke of genius. A masterful art piece. A statement. See the following video as an example:

That's BioWare falling down the stairs and then totally playing it off. The onlooker is your standard gaming magazine/website/show/whatever that is totally eating everything up.

I'm sure there are people who liked if not loved the ending, and don't want it changed.  I had a nice long chat with my friend and he disagrees that the ending should be changed or an alternate one be provided.   His argument that it's art, it's immutable unless the creator wants it to be so. We both ranted and disagreed.  So it's a completely valid point, and position to hold.

It would be hypocritical of me to shoot down that feedback as any less valid.
